no, not really. I am ecstatic we got renewed but even though i think that there were mistakes in season 2 in terms of the way some situations/plots/characters were portrayed/developed i still thoroughly enjoyed it (and i am sure i will love the last six episodes) and so all it does is make me very eager to watch season 3 (whenever it airs lol) - one thing i will say we have a long wait but we can do it together #beastiebuddies I totally agree. I mean sure, the renewal provided a sense of comfort for me, and was a huge relief. I have also enjoyed season two so far, and yes, naturally, there were things I didn't like. But overall, I enjoyed this season completely - again, regardless of the mistakes and stuff. There's just one episode in the whole series, which I will never watch again, and it's 2x10 - "Ancestors". Personal reasons/issues! And yes Anna, long wait - but we are in such great company Touche. There were a couple of nice scenes in "Ancestors" - and IMO the ONLY watchable or intriguing "love triangle" of the entire season. I will never watch any S2 episode in which I have to suffer through Gabe/Cat or that Tori is in period after 2x06 besides possibly "Held Hostage" which could be my only exception. Actually I would throw episodes 2x07-2x15 out if I had my say, never to be seen again. Out with the trash. Even if there are some good bits in there. I'd make them re-write the entire freaking thing. Just my personal feels. Hated it. Rather never see any of it again.

Absolutely, Gabe Lowan should stay part of the story (I still think he is a well-disguised snake). Sendhil Ramamurthy is a wonderful actor and raises the talent level of an already fantastic cast. Plus, Sendhil has always been very supportive of Beasties. I like Sendhil, and he is a great actor, but I'm not sure the Gabe character has anything more interesting to contribute to the story. He has begun to feel like an awkward fifth wheel. Ultimately his character feels too weak to be useful on the show anymore. Maybe if they can take his mask off and show the snake beneath? Even as a beast he was kind of hard to take serious. I mean I think he was a formidable baddie, but not as a beast. Anyway, I do like how supportive Sendhil has been to beasties :-) ETA: And, can I just say that his primary storyline, the one that they force fed us throughout ALL of S2 was a tremendous flop, and made most of us cringe or cover our eyes? No bueno Batman. The whole point of Gabe this season was as a warm body to cushion the fall for Catherine. Nobody - and I do mean NOBODY liked watching that. Or at least I have yet to find one person.

There are some scenes I'd rather just simply fast-forward through. I cringed during certain scenes/moments peeking through my fingers actually, but I was always eager to see what'd happen next. I'm still super happy we got season two, and even more ecstatic to have a third one (and hopefully more). I did enjoy this season overall. But as you said, personal feels

But as you said, personal feels I'm glad that there are Beasties who were able to enjoy S2, but cringing and fast forwarding through scenes that are unwatchable is not my idea of a good time. I'm hoping to feel a bit less bitter once I see the next six episodes... Can't say that I've enjoyed S2 in the least. WAY too little too late. And many many many things I wish I had NEVER seen to begin with. If I could go back and skip episodes 7-15, I would do it. I would have rather never watched, then put myself through that. Not worth it, not even a little. Going to have a very hard time with the DVD if there are scenes in these last episodes that I feel I HAVE to have, since all the kings horses and all the kings men couldn't force me to buy that DVD for what we've seen so far - even if the first episodes in S2 were decent. As for the renewal business, I'm glad there is S3 to (try) make things right, but i really have spent much of S2 wishing the show had just been cancelled after S1 for how much they ruined it for me. I know it is not a popular opinion, but IMO they ruined the show in the second season. It is going to take a lot of treading water to make up for that, very little of which has been started at this point. One or two dreamy scenes doesn't make up for hours upon hours of a show that I can't stand to watch. S2 has felt like a ginormous waste of my time. Can't even begin to get over it yet. Hoping for better times ahead, though.

My overall feeling with regards to S2 is disappointment, simply because there was so much potential to do something spectacular that just went untapped.....but there were some diamonds in the rough among the many pieces of charcoal. I am one who never want to go backwards, and we can't; so I am focussing on the six episodes yet to come and hoping that they will some how meet or even surpass my expectations.....(do I dare to dream.....yes, I DO!!!!!!)
Thank you to all for helping make the wait tolerable....and, often, lots of FUN!!!!!!

I'm choosing to believe my own version of season two and look forward to the next six episodes and then the S3 little season, which I hope will give us back some glimpses of what was so rare and wonderful from season one that got us all so hooked.

Definitely not. I enjoyed each and every one of the episodes of the second season. No fast forward scene on my dvd, but some just do not like. That is true they could have done things differently, obviously yes. I'm looking forward to seeing how the story goes, see the following six episodes and see the next season.

Well, for me, I liked season one a lot, but, I don't like season 2 at all. I agree with that other poster on here, about how disgusting this season 2 was/is and I have watched every episode too of season 2 (that has aired so far that is) . I have no interest in re watching any of the episodes of season 2. It was ruined for me, the moment Vincent pushed Cat on the roof in episode 2 or 3 (what ever episode that was). But I am stilling going to watch the remaining 6 episodes of season 2, and I will most likely watch season 3 as well. Even as disgusted as I am with season 2, so far, that is, I just don't know, if I could just walk away from this show either.
I have mixed feelings about the renewal, as I don't think this show even deserves a renewal for a season 3, based on the following factors regarding season 2.....the yucky storyline, inconsistencies, disgusting sex loves triangles, the main leads treated each other terrible, doing character destruction (especially to the main leads) to their character, flip flopping to a new storyline to a new storyline without resolving the previous story lines, and let us not forget, this season what supposed to be about "Who am I" Which I didn't see play out for either character. IMO, the final romantic love reunion between Cat and Vincent, felt rushed, unreal, and fake after everything that had happened to them and the way they treated each other. What happened to (which was very needed between Cat and Vincent) the long heart felt talk and apology and explanation between Vincent and Cat, before they confessed their love for each other, once again and did the deed in the final episode before the long Spring hiatus. Sorry, folks it felt like they were doing the deed instead of making love. They really need to have a long heartfelt talk between them, with explanations and apologies. At least that is what I would have like to have seen take place between them, to make their love for one another felt real. It was just a mess, all over the place and unnecessary storylines. There is so many other obstacles that they could have thrown at them, in their face without them being unfaithful, hurtful to one another, and without degrading their characters in the process. I find the story lines to be a total lack of creativity. Today, most tv story lines reflect today's society cultural secular accepted norms, which I find to be very perverted, for the most part. Older tv shows, had better moral and creative story line and they even had character development.
Back to the renewal season 3 decision, but at the same time, I don't want to see it get cancelled either, because I still feel somewhat hooked for watching the show. So, basically I have mixed feelings about this show. But I am don't want my posting to be confused with those who say this show is doomed based on hatred. It is not that all, because I have watched every episode of BATB so far and I plan to still watch more, for now.

Is it definetly only going to be 13 episodes in season 3? Becuase if that is the case then they definetly need to relocate Gabe to another part of the country. I have all the episodes of season 2 on my planner but compared to season 1 I haven't re watched many of them and I just can't watch the episodes Tori in them nothing personal against Amber but it just did'nt work and she was one charector that if they had done it right could have been very interesting but the moment they had the bed sharing going on and her acting like Vincent's girlfriend and him not correcting her for me personally was just just a pity TPTB did'nt have the gut's to be honest about it and then with Gabe again nothing against Sendhill but I really don't see what Gabe can bring to season 3 having him just hanging around to keep a eye on Catherine is just ewwww for me he's had a good run and if anything in season 2 it was more like he was the lead male not Vincent and that I did'nt like they sacrificed JT time for Gabe and again that I did'nt want to see. So for me I will watch season 3 and just hope that they have learnt from season 2 that changing things as drastically as they did isn't always a good thing as the saying goes don't run before you can walk so they need to slow down and show a more consistant story without sex buddies for either Cat or Vincent I won't say love interests becuase it clearly wasn't both Tori and Gabe were keeping both Vincent's and Catherine's body's warm, and what annoyed me though was that they had Vincent take Catherine to his bed the one that he shared with Tori without a second thought and that for me just had a icky feel to. For me no matter how many season's we get season 1 will always hold a special place for me and I have the box set and have wtched all 6 discs's at least twice since I had it but season 2 I'm really not sure if I want to buy it and it is soley because of the Tori and Gabe part's. I do still love the show and think that the cast do a good job with what they're given but I do miss also the fab four of Vincent, Catherine, Jt and Tess who also in season 2 grated on my nerves with her constant pushing of Gabe and Catherine to get together much preferrred season 1 Tess.

I'm sure these last six episodes will have us all on cloud 9 And just think we could have had like 22 episodes that had us similarly entertained without all the wasted story lines... I'd like episodes 7-15 back with do-overs. I'd like the "obstacles" to be a bit more interesting and a bit less like watching siblings kiss with tongue. Because that was about how grossed out I was. The final six is nice, but they had an entire season to make tv-movie magic. I expect them to do in S3 and not to waste precious screen time on mundane relationships with ZERO chemistry.

I'm with you, much S2 is too hard to watch,, and the magic is missing throughout the entire Tori-Gabe love-triangle arcs. It's just like watching bad tv to me, and frankly it hurts my eyes. They are going to have to hit the next six episodes out of the park to get me to buy that DVD, and yes, S1 holds a special place, before all of the contrived plot devices and chemistry-lacking love triangles...
