Since many of the fans are so against Gabe. Here I made a little compilation from the second season as why I really hope they keep Gabe in season 3 as well. In the first season the Catherine and Gabe scenes were on fire (not romantically) and in the second season the Vincent and Gabe scenes were spot on. I gathered some of my favorite Vincent and Gabe convos but let them speak for themselves. So the Gabe character can be still interesting if not romantically involved with Catherine. Not to mention Sendhil is doing a pretty good job.

Thanks for the video, Nelly! There were some very good Vincent/Gabe exchanges. My issue with Gabe is that I find him to be slightly undefined, (not in a positive way) and I am not sure what to feel about him...perhaps that is a good thing, but I like to be emotionally committed to characters, one way or the other. Firstly, he doesn't scare me enough to be the baddie we love to hate; so, I agree with anapi -season3baby :), they would really need to step it up in the storyline area if that is the direction they are taking at the end of this season and into season 3. Next, I did not feel much compassion for him when he told his sad life story at he end of season 1; the way that unfolded, didn't make him more multi-facetted or layered to me personally. Lastly, as a good guy who is really not a good guy I find him to be a little "papa sin sal" (potato without salt). So, I am relatively indifferent about him, and I don't like feeling that way about a character who gets that much air time. I just hope they spice it up a bit where Gabe is concerned; perhaps Vincent can lend him his salt shaker!

I just hope they spice it up a bit where Gabe is concerned; perhaps Vincent can lend him his salt shaker! lol i liked your metaphor. yes i agree, i think (as nelly demonstrated) gabe has had some great moments with vincent which became even greater because of vincent (cause vincent was great in these scenes) but overall i am not as compelled by him or intrigued by his motivations. nothing to do with him and cat being paired because (as you all know) even though that was a ridiculously stupid pairing it still did not annoy me too much. In fact, when he was not paired with cat at all (first half of the season) i was always going on about how he was the only character who was blunt and boring and unbelievable as the good guy but also not believable as the bad guy either. in fact i think if you are a good baddie you end up being remembered long after a series has ended (lex is one of my favs in smallville - and i mention smallville because i know most of the forum members have watched it, in fact more than most other characters including clark and lana themselves). but Gabe, no... I am afraid until now I am not as compelled though having said that him being there is not an issue for me. I dont think he is a detriment to the show but i dont think he is great either - and not because of the actor but because of the way he has been developed/portrayed. so since the actor is good, if the storyline about Gabe is good and non-repetitive I will be very happy. sorry i just realised i wrote a repetitive essay

I remebered him from Heroes and I liked him in that serie. It's just that I don't want him with Catherine like kp definitely needs S3 said

Although I see that his story has been a bit diluted in the drive to be Catherine's boyfriend at all costs. Let's see how the writers develop his plot in the last six episodes. Btw, great video, I like the Gabe-Vincent interaction, the jealousy of both, but I think Jay steals most scenes, only with the expression of his face, without saying a word.

ABSOLUTELY and it's because of this his stunning talent that I LOVE HIM so much! I felt totally in love with his talent just the moment he appeared in my screen on the pilot Ok.. ok... I know what everybody are thinking right now... I felt in love not just of his talent but of his VOICE and HOTNESS as well but... his talent, his way of behaving was for sure another aspect of him that made me lost so much my mind

Absolutely, Gabe Lowan should stay part of the story (I still think he is a well-disguised snake). Sendhil Ramamurthy is a wonderful actor and raises the talent level of an already fantastic cast. Plus, Sendhil has always been very supportive of Beasties.

Definitely every character has a "not so interesting" moments or let's say boring ones. I just wanted to highlight the good ones that Gabe has. I picked the Vincent - Gabe scenes to prove if the actors are given a good script then they can act it out pretty well. And honestly Jay is good in that scenes because Sendhil is good too.

Was just wondering something.... Now that we have a season 3, does it affect your opinion/enjoyment of season 2 ? Personally, although i have liked season 2, i have felt frustrated at the vincat breakup, thinking that we only had limited episodes left. I wanted them reconciled. Felt Gaberine was a total waste of my time. Now however, knowing we have 6 more this season and at least 13 next season of VinCat goodness can I go back, relax and view the separation differently? Will the love triangles be more bearable? I am going to give it a go ..... Will let you know how I get on...... What do you think?

What do you think? i watched 201 today and i absolutely loved it. i was actually thinking what a shame it is that we got very few peopel tuning in for the first episode cause i think if more had tuned in then we would have had a different story now and higher ratings and maybe even a full third season. cause i really think that episode was brilliant. i was not happy with the triangles either but thought this season had some brilliant episodes and some great moments adn was genearlly better crafted than a lot of season 1. so overall i enjoyed both seasons a lot and cannot really say i have a favourite (maybe i will decide after season 2 finishes ). but yes it is a relief that there will be more vincat goodness now and the plan is for them to stay together season 2 type of filming with vincat togetherness will be bliss
