I thought I'd open this thread since the other was at 20 pages. My 14,5 post I’ll try to make this quick, since I’m not a big “good-bye” person. This 14,500 will be my last. For those of you who don’t know me, I am a BEASTIE who fell in love with a show back in 2012 and has been in this forum almost 3 years. This forum has been a major part of my life and I used to enjoy coming here, giving you info, giving reviews, making clips and making jokes. Not to mention invested a whole deal in the process. Now I’m saying my so long, not from the show but from here. I haven't been happy for a while for personal reasons which I will not get into. There have been a ton of changes, that I'm not happy about and to be honest things I know that won't change. Being here as a member and MOD has been an incredibly experience in pretty much every way. I’ve met with many great people, too many to name. Thanks to everybody, who has befriended me throughout these years. I have laughed with you, cried with you, celebrated victories with you. I shall always carry that in my heart. I currently have a pending project for the Cast going on in the campaign section that you'd be happy to know that I will continue to see it through (It's my baby after all). If you are still interested in the cast project follow the link I left there and you can send me the finished project through that site. It's no longer just a SEO project but a BEASTIE project. I like to FINISH what I start and see things through. But don't fret I leave you in very good hands, pippin and Andromeda03 and the Admin Vincent Keller and Catherine Chandler love this board very much and they will continue to run the forum smoothly and effectively. OK I'm really confused here, What the heck is going on? Why are so many people leaving this forum? I know I don't post a lot but I truly enjoy reading what others are posting no matter what it is. I've seen all these post of people saying goodbye seriously did I miss something here? Are those leaving joining or moving to a forum please enlighten me if you don't mind? I'm sorry VinCat❤Destined for your decision... just yesterday I've understood that you will remain here so it comes like a surprise. For all those who are leaving or remain in silent mode: I don't know what REALLY happened, maybe in private message there was something very disrespectful that made you go on your own way, but in a few day we passed from having a fanzine divided due to different opinion and now we have a fanzine divided because hystorical members decided to leave. and that is sad, and hope that newby will learn to be active because I enjoy this forum very much (but if everybody is leaving... who remains?) About CA: tweet reported here (from Tony or Karen) are only observation: even if you are a public person we don't have to please you everytime, if I don't like your job or I have a critic, with social media I could tell you (before cast and crew were on twitter there where no possibility to speack with them) obviously in a respectful way like they did. Maybe it is only a single user that was rude to her (and to other user that tweet in CA defence). For the same reason I will not tweet my love to CA because it would be false, for me her clothes' choice need some good advice, at least on colour (excluding Heather). But cast clothes is not the reason why I'm watching BATB so I don't care. She could only block that user and go on remaining on twitter.. that's so simple... I can't imagine that she is/was on twitter only to feed her ego reading only good on her work. Said that, because this post is giving me bad feeling, I will not enter this thead anymore (but you feel free to go on writing about departure) till the subject will change. I will be happy to post and discuss in every other thread. |

This wonderful and very uplifting show and its actors and crew deserve our appreciation for what they have given to us every season ever season 2! Beasties want them to know what they gave to us and many undeclared viewers was priceless and in impacted our hearts and will be on our tablets, smartphones and DVD players continuously going forward. You remember how much we all appreciate what you give to this forum and your leaving before its over is not an option for me and I know for many others!  |

This is absolutely ridiculous! I've stayed away from this Spoiler section as I don't want to be spoiled for the live US viewings. I was only lured back by Catherine Ashton's tweet saying good bye. Just got caught up on the #2 Everything thread, which apparently the latter parts were started in the 307 Early Canadian Viewer thread, what's with all the Beastie goodbyes?! This is so perplexing! We're half way through S3, a season everybody fought so hard to get and suddenly everyone decides to leave?! I just don't get it.  |

But the exodus started with the 3x07 early discussion, which I guess became a discussion about S3. First ragulr25 said a goodbye in the 307 thread, which seem to open the flood gates for beasties going out the door, including Anapi, Laura, maybe others and now Yolie. This sudden behavior is not the beastie SEO fandom I've come to know. Seems like something deeper must have been going on. It's quite sad. |

One post said how some felt like their comments were being 'silenced' or there was some backlash for some not so positive comments. I really didn't see it, did you? I mean, we all have our likes and our dislikes of something in the episode but there was no major dispute that I could gather after going over dozens and dozens of previous posts. So when pippin moved the comments it seemed OK based on where the comments were going off topic to the episode specifically. Thought some were clarifying comments and thoughts. Again, I like all comments as long as they aren't personal attacks, sarcastic and disrespectful. I honestly don't know what happened.  |

The reasons people have left is an entirely different subject matter and the discussion moving from one thread to another wasn't a factor in their decisions. The choice to move the posts was not done in error and is a common practice here, and on any fan forum I've ever been on. Posts and discussions get moved all the time. Sometimes because they've gone off topic and there's already a thread that fits the topic better (like in this case), or because the decision was made to make those 'moved posts' into their own thread because there isn't one to discuss that topic yet. |

The reasons people have left is an entirely different subject matter and the discussion moving from one thread to another wasn't a factor in their decisions. The choice to move the posts was not done in error and is a common practice here, and on any fan forum I've ever been on. Posts and discussions get moved all the time. Sometimes because they've gone off topic and there's already a thread that fits the topic better (like in this case), or because the decision was made to make those 'moved posts' into their own thread because there isn't one to discuss that topic yet. I didn't mean to imply that moving the discussion from one thread to another was the cause of the exodus. I was just trying to trace the discussion flow. I was not involved in the discussion, didn't read things until after the fact. Just trying to piece together what prompted folks to suddenly leave. But I saw nothing out of the ordinary in the post themselves, so something else must have been a trigger. I know you weren't implying anything.  I just noticed Pippin expressed some concerns on that front here in her post above and just wanted to assure her, and everyone reading her concerns in this thread, that the fact posts were moved was not a contributing factor to the situation and as such she's done nothing wrong in her decision to move them. ~*~ Pertaining to your last statement, that is now also part of my thought process as well. It is very unfortunate though, that if the unhappiness was related to something on the forum that maybe could have been helped, that it was not shared with the Admins and/or Mods sooner....before everyone felt they had no choice but to leave. A few very sad days here on the forum. Losing friends, even forum friends, is never fun. To those who have left, I do wish you all the best of luck. I am sorry to see so many of you go and I know your presences will be sorely missed. |

I did the same as you yesterday, trying to retrace and I came to the same conclusion. I think your last sentence is what I am thinking has occurred. Plus, I think with much of the latest BaTB news circulating on Twitter, and many use Twitter, it makes some sense just to utilize that medium. I don't know for sure,..... just speculating. I like the "fan Forum" format but maybe it is too time consuming? |
