Quite honestly, this is the key problem for our fan base. A number of fans are so caught up in the past where they are unable to move on. Truth be told, we can go back and forth on how much we loved, liked/disliked an episode/season, yet it simply would not matter, not my intention to offend anyone, in the least as seasons one, two, and three have all been filmed, and, unfortunately we do not have the ability to rewrite them. Fortunately, we have been granted another season and an opportunity to be vocal about our respectful views, especially if season four is indeed our last. Okay, what I meant by "moving on" is different from what you mean. I kinda disagree with your point. I know it is futile to tweet the writers now, because they can't change anything anymore. But that shouldn't prevent us from expressing our opinions. I mean we discuss each episode after it airs too, and talk about things we have liked/disliked. Isn't is the same? It's been done and aired, so what is the point in discussing the episode if we can't change anything? I think it applies to many other things in life as well - things we can't change, yet we talk about them and voice our views. And I don't think there's anything wrong with not having moved on from season one. On the contrary, I think that might be the reason that has kept some fans in the fandom. Comparing seasons of a show is, in my opinion, inevitable at times. You are comparing a show with itself. However, I think the issue is not that some fans are caught up in the past; it is simply the fact that the show no longer has that "thing" that got them hooked in the first place. When you look for certain things in a show (or anything for that matter) and don't find them, you can't enjoy it. I myself have always wanted to see the show change. Copy-pasting can and will ruin shows. Me not enjoying this season has little to do with being hung up on season one (I have written about this before). When I look at this season as a standalone, there's not much I find intriguing. Even the way VinCat is written as a couple doesn't appeal to me. I mean if this season was the first, I wouldn't fall in love with BatB and would stop watching after episode 2. Not my point. Obviously there is nothing wrong with you liking/disliking an episode/season. My point was, given you and many others have concerns with the direction this season is going so far, did not like certain aspects about the episodes we have seen to date, you still have an opportunity to vocalize what you like/dislike about our current season by touching on both the pro/cons. When you only focus on the negatives, it sends the wrong message!
A case in point, “ while I loved such and such” about this episode or about this season so far, I would love to see such and such in season four.

There are also overly positive tweets and posts. Good to have both I think, it keeps the balance.

Truthfully, by failing to incorporate both would only result in the writers making the decision to stop writing for the show, ultimately ensuring its cancellation.

I think there is a distinct difference between being 'negative' and critiquing the show. There is nothing wrong with expressing what you like/dislike about each episode, that's essentially what we do all day on the forum. And we all remember how this place was during season 2. At times it was toxic and actually negative. I really don't think that is the same thing that is happening now. People don't like certain things and have expressed them. Critiquing and being (or being perceived as) negative are two different things IMO.

This forum has been an important part of my life for a long time now, since late 2012 - I started off by reading posts only and I eventually got sucked in. So many memories and so many lovely people I met through the forum (some of them becoming long term, close friends) - sharing our love for the show and the characters, analyzing their actions and motivations (death by analysis sometimes ), posting any small little spoiler we could find and swooning over Vincat pictures; worrying about ratings, happy dancing about renewal news, venting and expressing our frustrations about plot decisions;so many lively interactions and so many fans passionately voicing their views; and for me, at least to begin with, the only place where I could express my love for and obsession with the show. So many memories- just so many...mostly good memories, and this forum will always have a special place in my heart. But unfortunately, to me at least, this forum is not the same place any more and, it pains me to say, I feel it is the right time for me to say my goodbyes. This is gonna be my last post, but if you want to keep in touch do pm me. One last thing - one of the things that really drew me to this forum was the diversity of opinions and points of view - this needs to be maintained in any healthy society or/and forum, cause that is what this forum is essentially, a mini society. So goodbye people, I really will miss this place so much but I know in my heart this is the right decision for me right now.

Dear Beasties, I’m saying goodbye to this board. The atmosphere has become restrictive, unfortunately. I think we all have the right to speak our mind freely, in a respectful manner. We are here to communicate our ideas/opinions, but sadly I don’t feel comfortable and respected here anymore. It has come to a point where you get told what to post, and how to word your comments. This is simply unfair, and having to explain yourself over and over again is mentally exhausting. We shouldn’t silence people just because we don’t agree with them. You can’t dictate how others should react to things. We all have different standards and criteria, and naturally respond to things differently. Even if the board gets too "negative", it is simply indicative of how people really feel. What’s wrong with that? Are we supposed to be content with everything all the time? Negativity is a relative concept and the fact that I dislike something doesn’t make my comment negative. It simply makes it honest and real. I don’t want to mask my honest opinions - no one should. That’s why I decided to leave this forum. I don’t feel there’s tolerance for differing views anymore. You call it "negative", I call it "different, opposite". I expected to have the right to complain about the things I don’t like, and not be labelled as being negative. I am grateful for the friends this forum has brought into my life. I loved spending time here with other Beasties, sharing opinions, and making good memories. I will miss SEO, but it’s time to say good-bye I think. Wish you all the best, and BeastieHugs to all PS: Those who want to stay in touch can find me on Twitter, or simply PM me here

WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING ON HERE! I believe that 99% of the members of this forum love this show and it's actors/actresses but that does not mean we have to agree on every nuance within every episode. We are all individuals who have been drawn to this outstanding show because of the phenomenal acting abilities of our wonderful cast and our personal feelings.
Let's not destroy the foundation of this forum, we're ALL Beasties and Beast here and not being totally in agreement at all time does not change that. Now being extremely critical of the show is a signal you may not wish to be a part of this forum which supports the show as it misses the mark and then later hits the target which is to be expected as the writers and actors are human, alas not perfect or robots. They are like us who fail and succeed every day. Thus my reason for enjoying the show, none of us are perfect and cannot expect that from others but we can expect everyone to do their best and pick themselves up and show regret and make an effort to correct what needs to be corrected. Being compassionate and forgiving and supportive is a wonderful and self enriching thing to the soul. It makes us better people which is what the world needs.
Laura and Anapi, I personally as well as other members do not believe you should abandon the forum you made the decision to join because you believe in it's intended purpose. Do not let anyone make you leave, chose to leave based upon your own personal circumstances.
I am not sure who is the Moderator for this thread and for that matter for our beloved SEO forum. I am interested in what are their thoughts. I personally do not know what has been transpiring in this thread or elsewhere in our forum but WOW what could have led to this?
These two women are not the only ones I have seen depart in the short time I have joined. This is not a trend we should support, am I wrong?

It was for many of the reasons given here, it's been a while, I get into here only to read boards and leave. I Almost comment nothing or post Hearing your comment, fairydreams, breaks my heart and is making me tear-up! You should be happy to come to this forum and felt warm and welcomed to share your thoughts about BATB, its actors, the episodes or what you are feeling in general if nowhere else but certainly here! Please keep visiting the forum as I will as least until it is mutually deemed no longer viable and positive as our BATB is intended to be perceived.
