Fandom is divided in I like / I dislike this S3 thus I think everybody is curious to see what will happen. About the plot or big bad or the story of the week: I read post on SEO about S1 and S2 episode and there always be someone complaining about it so I don't consider this aspect that is always be secondary for the most part of the fandom. What bother the most and is remarked to writers, cast and crew is the lack of romantic VinCat (I don't talk about scene like Amp) and that is disappointing for all I think. IMO Stuart or someone else have to answer to those critics and I found strange that they doesn't have done yet... maybe answering means spoilering? If I'm right I think that some people that are disappointed right now will probably enjoy the view of S3 without waiting from week to week ones all the episodes are aired I think they know they can't change anything at this point, as they are currently shooting season four.

I am sorry, if you think this was directed solely at you, cause it wasn't. Like you said, you have a right to your opinion. And this is my opinion & how I see things generally for a lot of people. And not everyone has been as respectful to the cast & crew as others have been, when voicing their opinions. And the fandom in my opinion this fandom is divided. It's not at the point yet where people it's noticeable, but for example how many times has a trends or events conflicted with things and people have gotten in people's faces about it? How this person should cancel their event, who's right & who's wrong...it leaves a bad taste in peoples mouth. It starts at small things like that, and then it gets created into something bigger. When I read twitter sometimes, that's where I feel like its at, that it has the potential to divide the fandom to the point it chaos and where not cares enough to work together to support the show. I think one of our problems is that some of us think we "own" the fandom, and we have the right to dictate how the rest should behave in the BatB world. As you said, people do get into heated arguments on Twitter. There are many reasons for it: we are extremely passionate about the show (myself included), we have always had to deal with this ratings thing (which is frustrating) and been fearful of cancellation, etc. But I think the main reason is, we don't discuss things to "exchange" opinions, but to "change" each other's views. And it's what is causing problems essentially. If I think A is good, I verbally attack anyone who thinks otherwise. If you think B is good (which is the complete opposite of A), then I accuse you of spreading negativity and not being a real fan. Of course some do sugar-coat their comments, so you can't reply to them really. Why can't we post our negative opinions on social media? I understand we need to attract fans, but I think we all know that we can't gain more viewers at this point. Being positive "all the time" is simply not okay, when you feel otherwise. There are Beasties on Twitter who keep policing tweets, and God do they have a condescending tone! Not only is it wrong on so many levels, it's also counter-productive. We "need" to express our opinions freely. We need to give feedback to the writers/directors. What some fans are doing on Twitter is just spreading "false" positivity. I tweeted the writers a few weeks ago, and sent them some parts of my comments on season three (and I was respectful). Some Beasties replied to my tweet, interfering in a way which left a bitter taste in my mouth. I got so much positive feedback though, both publicly on Twitter, and even more via DMs (which proves my point, that some Beasties have made it difficult for the rest to have a frank exchange of views, since there's always someone to "shush" them). Do you remember the forum during the Alex arc? It was filled with angry posts. So was Twitter. But I think we were more accepting then. Many fans have left here or Twitter (no idea about Facebook), simply because they were not enjoying the show that much, wanted to rant, and got attacked. I think this does more harm to the fandom, than tweeting negative opinions (to the writers, for instance). What's wrong with not liking some aspects of the show, an episode, etc.? I think it's absolutely fine, as long as we are respectful of each other, and of the people involved in the show (real people, that is. Not fictional characters ). We are a fandom; we need to support each other even if we disagree on some points. Please don't take my post personally. Except for the part in blue, no other part is directed at you. Simply my thoughts about this whole loving/not loving season three

Simply my thoughts about this whole loving/not loving season three I totally agree with you on the blue to an extant. But the problem is that if we as a Fandom could change the writers mind or whatever it would be good. But as we all know what is done is done meaning that whether we express our discontent at this point it doesn't or won't change anything since Season 3 has been in the bag for a year and they are in the final episodes of season 4. I believe truly about the fact that in season 2 the fans didn't express on twitter what they truly felt and what they wanted. .So the writers assumed by what the little fans that did express themselves said..So by not speaking out then is the outcome of now. I agree that no one should be silenced for expressing what they feel or want as long as,it's respectful. ...but in my case now it's moot point. Again I understand where those that are 'missing' 'not feeling' this season. This board was created for FANS for expressing and discussing anything as long as it's respectful to members is always welcome even if we don't agree with each other on certain things Just remember we all have a common denominator in all this . We are ALL passionate about this show in one way or another.

The only thing that really bothers me a lot is that when negativity does come in, esp wen its week after week. it's depressing & sometimes the negativey brings down those who are really enjoying the season especially since I feel like we are so lucky to even still have BATB on the air. I feel awful that a lot of people aren't enjoying the season, and I feel bad for enjoying. Guess it's a double edged sword.

Trying to catch up on some of the comments on pages 5/6/7. Haven't read anything, but my two cents on this:
1/ everyone is allowed to express their feelings, even if not fully positive, even on social media. I personaly don't care about comments or reproaches, they won't make me decide to stop watching the show. If viewers are not able to make their own decision, well, what do we care. These would never become true fans anyway, and I have understood that audiences will never be super terrific. So let's say what you want to say.
2/ I'm a low maintenance girl too, because I'm liking season 3. Of course we could have more, but I do like the show. Still. Always. I'm really liking it, I surprise myself to smile at some scènes, I'm impatient to view any new episode, I wait for the big bad guy (our nice Jason) to appear, and see if he'll be good as a bad guy, I love any Vincat interaction, no matter how short, how uneventful, love them even when they talk about their marriage. Just writing this, I'm feeling good thinking of their marriage, I'd like to see his eyes already when she will say yes. It may be not perfect, has never been, they could be more deeeply connected via a more troublesome plot, but even now, with what we get, I love it!

I'm sorry I I have come out as too negative. That's my way of writing quite often. please, don't understand me wrong! I love batb a lot still, even if I personally enjoyed the first season the most. There are loads of stuff I would change, but it's still the best show on tv. Vincat\Jaystin are the thing I need and I'm happy I even get this little. I'm only complaining because the limited amount of episodes we have left, could have been done better. That way there were more great stuff to watch after the show one day is over. But to not ruin the season for those who love it, I try to tone down the complaining and try to turn up the positive wibe.

JEFFEREN,
Like you, I'm torn regarding the current state of the fandom. It is worrisome if we are truly losing viewers. I have still enjoyed Season 3 for the most part, although I see why others prefer other moments in the VinCat journey. When so much negativity gets expressed at times, it is hard to see the ray of light, ESPECIALLY if it could mean losing this show. I can only have FAITH that most will choose to look at Season 3 OVERALL. There were certainly moments in previous Seasons that caused me to shudder and weren't what I wanted to see on my screen. But I recognized that it was about the JOURNEY, and there was still so much to see and love!
Personally, I have enjoyed reading the comments from other posters, ESPECIALLY when I disagree with them. Because it gives me something NEW to think in regards to BATB. And I have to say, some comments make me want to defend my favorite characters and their actions. Which just makes me think even more about what I have seen on BATB. And I love finding out about things I have missed or overlooked that might need a more thorough review. Which NEVER would have happened had I not read the comments in the first place.
Yes, I admit, I sometimes worry that our fandom is becoming hopelessly divided. But then I look again. And you see that everyone is (for the most part) still watching. And the fact that people are still commenting means that they are still invested in the show, even if not particularly liking what they are seeing. AND THAT is what is truly important to me. I WANT BATB TO REMAIN ON THE AIR! Even when the most Superior Moments/Favorite Scenes appear few and far between, they are still cherished enough and powerful enough for me to love them. And to LOVE commenting on them.
As I have said before and will most likely say again, I still prefer BATB over any other show. Even at its worst, I'm still glued to my screen. Even with She Who I Can't Name (because WHY OH WHY does she have to have MY NAME and same nickname--now THERE was a true injustice, I tell ya!) was on my screen, I couldn't stop watching. Even when I wanted to throttle Vincent, I had faith and enjoyed the plot, if not the substance and coupling. (And I could ALWAYS count on ARWENFAN to defend Vincent in Season 2, as I would do with Cat. And even though we often disagreed, I really looked forward to--and still do---to ArwenFan's posts that make me re-think my position. Or become decidedly more entrenched! Either way, it IS ALWAYS FOOD FOR THOUGHT!) AND THAT is what I have enjoyed MOST about the fandom--so many divergent and differing opinions on everything. Makes you see how complex the characters can be, even across a single season. And how many times have I caught something I missed OR rethought my whole BATB-worldview based on particular Posters? Every Season of BATB has ALWAYS produced moments that I will just HAVE to see over and over again.
And I have enjoyed Season 3. I still get that happy rush of joy whenever a Thursday comes around. If I'm in the minority here, so be it. And 301 and 306 will be episodes I am sure to watch multiple times. And I get that each season is a NEW part of the journey of the various characters. I still like to discuss the progression (or lack thereof) for the characters on my screen. And that DOES mean comparing certain elements from Season to Season. But people can participate or not as they choose. Free country. Actually, free COUNTRIES, considering how really DIVERSE our fandom is!
Some of my favorite posts that I have read have been from people that almost always disagree with me. And what I see regarding the characters. I still go back and forth over Tess. But THAT is why I have enjoyed reading everyone else's viewpoints.
There are even certain posters that I KNOW will come after me and my viewpoint, but I ENJOY reading their posts and defending my position. Or re-thinking my position entirely due to their persuasive arguments.
So even the most negative of posts indicate an interest and passion in the show. AND IT IS THE FANDOM THAT KEEPS THE SHOW ON THE AIR! So if people want to voice their unhappiness with a season, character, or dialogue, then AT LEAST the Powers That Be can get SOME idea of what Beasties like OR don't like. After all, it was all the negative and angry posts regarding Season 2's love triangles that actually made TPTB stop or end those plots a LOT sooner than they would have AND make sure that VinCat was together without any threat from a 3rd party during this season.
You can't please everybody. Or in the Beastie Universe, even a fraction of people at times, depending on the plot and character. But I think the Forum is mostly respectful, so I stay here. AND I BADLY WANT that Season 4. So I PRAY that Beasties just continue to watch so that I have the opportunity to see MORE of VinCat's journey. Still think there is SO MUCH to see and tell. And TALK and post about.
But I feel your pain. Wish more people seemed to like what they have seen, but it seems like many posters ARE expressing a reluctance to say that they like the season. I am one that likes it and has even LOVED it at several points. And I'm looking forward to the reveal and the hoped-for VinCat UNION! And THAT can't come to my screen soon enough!

I kinda disagree with your point. I know it is futile to tweet the writers now, because they can't change anything anymore. But that shouldn't prevent us from expressing our opinions. I mean we discuss each episode after it airs too, and talk about things we have liked/disliked. Isn't is the same? It's been done and aired, so what is the point in discussing the episode if we can't change anything? I think it applies to many other things in life as well - things we can't change, yet we talk about them and voice our views. And I don't think there's anything wrong with not having moved on from season one. On the contrary, I think that might be the reason that has kept some fans in the fandom. Comparing seasons of a show is, in my opinion, inevitable at times. You are comparing a show with itself. However, I think the issue is not that some fans are caught up in the past; it is simply the fact that the show no longer has that "thing" that got them hooked in the first place. When you look for certain things in a show (or anything for that matter) and don't find them, you can't enjoy it. I myself have always wanted to see the show change. Copy-pasting can and will ruin shows. Me not enjoying this season has little to do with being hung up on season one (I have written about this before). When I look at this season as a standalone, there's not much I find intriguing. Even the way VinCat is written as a couple doesn't appeal to me. I mean if this season was the first, I wouldn't fall in love with BatB and would stop watching after episode 2.

But yet of VinCat was written like this couldn't be done either...what we got in season one, the meeting of two people, the circumstances in meeting again, knowing each other,,becoming friends, falling in love...all that did occur and the way it was written was right. ...now 3 seasons on a little of that magic is gone cause of the progression of the relationship ...only thing left is marriage, baby carriage and death if they decide to kill one of them off in the end My point the writing ,the circumstances all have changed. .it's like comparing banana and a hot dog LOL bad analogy sorry Yolie, I have written about this extensively in my previous posts. I'm not against change by any means.
