Pippin the reason I thought he was comparing shows is because his bar sentence was followed by the Jane is quality sentence. So to me he is not just referring to timeslots. To be fair I am not blaming him. He is capitalising on virgins critical acclaim. He is trying to use that to get more viewers and justify the shows existence. I personally think that the shows viewership will not increase and the quality show discourse will not be relevant next season. But we shall see.

corinne I also cannot order Season 2 from Amazon.de. But I will wait till it is available there because I already have Season 2 from itunes and I want to have the german audio so that I can lend it to german friends who's english isn't good enough to enjoy it in original.

Tenshi, you have a good point. I've been trying to promote the show to some friends. For those from NYC, Washington or Arizona, that is okay, they'll give it a try...One of them btw told me" Oh haven"t seen any show with that name on TV recently"....LOL indeed!
But you're right a French one said she'd like to watch it, and asked me to lend her the DVD...so a French version would be useful...but am I ready to lend my DVD to anyone, not knowing if they'll take good care of them?....thinking, thinking

I wonder what other shows other then..BATB , HOD and now the 100 got short order. Did Reign??

Did Reign?? and The 100 already got an early renewal for a third season despite of its short season ! interesting , right ? as for Reign i didn't read anywhere it has a short season , so i guess if they didn't mention it than its a full season ! that left another 2 series this year also have short season , the other new shows ( iZombie ) and ( the messenger) |

Did Reign?? i am convinced reign, the 100 and possibly virgin will get a short season depending on how it does ratings wise in spring they dont need to make thier decisions until much later in the season in fact i think as i said before some of tehir shows will move to summer and i am pretty sure if they were to choose reign woudl be one of them. i guess their plan would be to move their low rated shows to summer. |

I don’t think they will put that many original shows in summer. They have 10 slots to fill per week. Previously they mainly showed repeats in summer. As M. Pedowitz said, shows on CW don’t repeat very well (because they are all serialized, no procedurals), so he wants to air as much original content as possible. But you have to take into consideration, while a repeat costs the CW nothing, a scripted show like Reign, BATB or The 100 is still quite expensive to produce. So I guess they would want to mix their planned 2016 summer line up with cheaper reality/comedy and some reruns of high rated shows. I believe if we manage to do better than reruns this summer, we will get renewed. That’s got to be the goal. |
