I think I would have to disagree with you on that point. For example, in Cold Turkey) when Vincent goes off to the cabin with Alex, everytime he tries to explain his condition/what's going on with him to Alex, she keeps interrupting him and jaunt brushes what he says off. You could see that when she kept doing that from the car ride and especially when he was trying to talk to her in the cabin, he was getting irritated with her. To me, he WAS acting like he really didn't want to be there, like he was put off by her. You are right, he did do that. Vincent was slightly annoyed in the car, but I never got the feeling he did not want to be there. Maybe it was simply a case of nostalgia. He did turn her down when she offered herself in her apartment. It doesn't change the fact that he was willing to go with Alex and was kind of a jerk to Catherine in the process. Perhaps the true intent of the writers was not portrayed due to some other factor (e.g., editing)? We will never know. I don't know, Kiki09. A lot of people told me that and I rewatched the ep really trying to see that, but I never was able to do it. Yes, I agree with you that there was a time in the deamantic (death+romantic LOL) cabin in the woods where he seemed to be irritated, but let's face it, nothing is more irritanting than someone constantly interrupting your trail of thoughts. So I can't associate that with him not wanting to be there. In the car, Vincent simply was obnoxious when he told the nurse that IT WAS FINE THAT SHE WENT TO CAT'S APARTMENT. Not only he didn't reprimanded her for hurting the woman he was supposed to love "epically" (it's that a word), even if she didn't know that she was doing that (something that no one can convince me it's true), but he also didn't say anything about her using the hospital's CONFIDENTIAL information about the patients, which is highly unethical and something that Vincent should care about since he's a doctor. Yes, lilbit, he turned the redhead down when she offered herself, but he did the same with Cat. I really think he did that only because he was fearing Beast's presence. I thought the same when the ep was aired, but when he turned Cat down, too, that theory came crashing down. The writers didn't give us even this pleasure. I really wanted that to be true. About the editing thing. I saw a reviewer saying a while ago that the pilot didn't match the script and that the editing took a lot of good scenes, some very important. Maybe that's what happened in Alex's arc and we're blaming the writes unfairly. I thought about asking that the DVD has the full shooting. Like a "director's version" of the series. That could makes us see if there's some kind of salvation to that mess.

A "Director's Cut" DVD would be great, yeah! I would love to see "bloopers" as well -- those must be hysterical! LOL!!!
I would like to see the original scripts just to find out what the writers' originally intended. I do believe that the viewers miss out on many important scenes due to editing. However, there are only so many minutes for each episode.
This could be a "which came first" scenario in that the writers put too much in one episode and the editors are trying to keep within their required timeframes and still move the storyline/plot along. (It really bothered me that the audience still thought Joe was cheating on his wife with Tess because the scene about he and his wife separating was edited out! I disliked the character because of it only to find out that Joe isn't a total bad guy.) Teamwork would be good here! This goes back to the "rushed" episode discussion that we've had on this board.
Now, we wait with great anticipation to see what they do next!

So are we starting a campaign to have a "director's cut" on DVD? I'm in. It would be awesome to see that the scripts weren't as bad as we think. When do we start?

Well, Yollie, you're a moderator. I think you can actually motivate people to campaign about this more than I can. I'm dead serious about doing something like this. I'm salivating.

Thank you but a mod can only do so much! Although I agree, it's a great idea...Did you know that this might be too late? Usually the DVD content is already made in advance. Catherine Ashton the set designer of the show tweeted before the finale aired that she was interviewed for the DVD extras..If this is the case they already have an idea if not already made out what they are going to give as Extras. Although since I'm on twitter I can lobby and tell the writers nicely what we would like to see..Just a few days ago they said that they had no clue yet when the DVD would be released but that as soon as they knew they would inform us

Yeah, it probably is too late for the Season 1 DVD. They have probably had this planned/put together for some time. As soon as it comes out we should start campaigning/lobbying for Season 2 to include "Director's Cut" episodes. They may oblige us...even if they only give us a few episodes. I don't think they would have the "Director's Cut" for all episodes on the DVD. I've never seen a TV show on DVD that included the "Director's Cut" for all episodes. Have you guys seen that before?

I'm sure they are monitoring your tweets and know exactly what you've already told them. Ahem... regarding the finale. Now you want to ask them nicely to give us something... I think this is their reaction: 'Oh no, what now again? You want Director's Cut? Hell NO! Next time think twice!'

So I don't see why they wouldn't listen to me at least
