Who made up "den"? That's cute I think batb4evr1  So grateful to her & Suzie. They both have been amazing & the light at the end of the tunnel, especially before the Mods got involved. They are great! |

Please feel free to spread the name of our place all around for everyone to embrace and use fondly because this is a cozy and warm and protective environment for those who love BATB, VinCat, JT, Tess and Heather!  |

Sorry if this post is late, I've just got back from holidays and I've been catching up on everything that I've missed. Not sure what to say, totally speechless right now and surprised and stunned like some of you. I wish this wasn't happening but I'm going to respect their choice and decision to leave. So with a heavy heart I would like to say to Nelly, anapi -season3baby :), Laura, @socmom, Savana_ Dying for season3! and @locaxbatb (and to @clena which I hope I'm wrong) that you'll all be sorely missed  and a huge thank you for everything you've done and contributed to BATB and this forum :group hug:Greatly appreciate getting the oppourtunity to know you all through your posts, updates, voting, online polls, gifs, campaigns and so much more!!!  I'm forever the optimist... so this isn't goodbye, but a hopeful see you later. |

I tried to understand what happened. I am very sad that people who I have grown to appreciate, although we are not best friends, and I loved reading your comments, leave. Please if you are on twitter let her a message! Thanks Chymere for sharing this! Again, What the heck is going on?  ? I don't Twitter too much, but could someone just let us know what is going on, what is being said and why is everyone feeling so divided or attacked or whatever. Are there certain people causing unnecessary or hurtful comments? I am so out of the BATB loop. If anyone could shed some light on this because for some of us, it is disturbing and upsetting. I sent her a complimentary Tweet! I don't know if that will help. Edit: So I just scanned Catherine's Twitterfeed, and I saw really "1" person who was rude to CA. I would say 99% of the comments were so complimentary and nice and appreciative. Every time Anna brought over the CA's Tweets they were nice and helpful. Maybe there has been some rude remarks lately?..... so could someone just clarify? I feel like I am in BizarroWorld. It is a shame that a few are ruining the BaTB experience for everyone else? Am I wrong? |

Honesty hour: this is why I personally do not like Twitter. It's just a breeding ground for petulant children. I have a personal twitter, plus fandom twitter accounts, plus business twitter accounts, so I'm not saying I never use it. I just hate the 140-character medium and the trending, and honestly I can't stand the way the Twitterverse functions. This can be the case with any social media outlet, of course, but Twitter has always bugged me.
Aside from that, it seems to me that some Beasties are blurring the lines between Beastie Twitterverse and Save Each Other. I'm kind of in the "not seeing what the huge offensive deal is" camp, so it has to be happening, at least in part, outside of this forum, else it wouldn't be this volatile. Not to mention the fact that bashing/disrespecting real people, especially those associated with BATB, is the bedrock policy of this forum.
But Twitter ain't SEO!
Anyway, goodness, I hope CA feels better and doesn't take bitter tweets as any measure of actual life and her value and talent.

Perfect example of why I too hate Twitter. I have one, but I never use it outside of following my favorite actors/actresses/etc. Someone posts something, and there is always someone who is just waiting to start an argument, say hurtful things, and much worse. And if you're an actor/actress/writer/crew member on Twitter? Well it's just 10x worse for them.
It is a real shame when social media platforms, usually Twitter, become so toxic for those involved in shows (not just BatB, but other shows as well) and the crew, writers, and actors get to the point where they have to pull away. And we can all talk about what's going on over at Twitter until we are blue in the face, but unfortunately it will not change anything going on over there.
If people on Twitter are being disrespectful to her, KK, and others involved with the show, nothing we say here (or there as a matter of fact) will stop them from doing what they are doing. "Twitter Bullies" (as I like to call them) think they can do no wrong, and they seem to get a kick out of hiding behind their computers and being outright mean and rude to people.
It is a real shame what is going on, and I don't understand what these people thought they were accomplishing, but there's nothing we can say to make them stop. Unfortunately.

Frankly speaking, I've not been a fan of the wardrobe choices for Cat's character in S3 either. It's very conservative and old fashion looking, especially when you compare the styles to previous seasons. So the person did have a point regarding wardrobe, which I personally agree with, but she expressed it very poorly. Furthermore, to tag KK in the conversation and say she looks ugly was just flat out rude and wrong! Edit: Yet another reason to make sure KK wins ET Canada's Most Beautiful Stars poll: link |

I feel it's cute, very fashionable, practical (mostly) for a detective, and does fit the conservative style that both Cat and KK seem to prefer. I thought the looks last year were a tad more drab. However, you like other seasons better for wardrobe, and we can for sure agree to disagree, and, like you said, be respectful about it. Saying an actress looks ugly actually has little to do with CA anyway. That just goes straight to Kristin or Nicole and then we start getting into issues of needing our eyes checked and things like that.  Anyway, yes, there is a respectful way to disagree, of course. I actually remember tweeting CA before during eps and being like, "Aw, I wish we could see Cat in such-and such" and things like that. Or, back when V was wearing the "uniform" haha - the Henley or whatever with that ONE coat, I was like, man, I want to see him in the variety of clothes he wore in season 1. Plus, while I'm on a rambling topic, Vincent is (or was) often put in muted colors and I think his brown hair and eyes can handle some more COLOR. Just IMO of course - I would never know how to dress these actors! |
