Finally saw the episode, once again Catherine back to being willing to forgive Vincent so quickly... even when she said "enough is enough" she didn't really mean it since right when Vincent was agreeing with her, she was backing off.
It's very disheartening to see such a female character be so weak over a guy who clearly isn't good for her in so many ways than one.
I wish Evan was never killed off, he would had never put Catherine through all this mess that Vincent keeps putting her through...very frustrating to watch.
Honestly, after this I have to question how people can continue to ship Vincat... what's the appeal?

I haven't watched the episode yet, but for whatever reason I'm not surprised by the events in this episode. When word of Tori existing happened I already knew this was going to happen... I even joked last Monday on twitter that Vincent was cheating on Catherine with Tori.
The Vincat relationship is a hot mess and as I've already stated before, I'm bored of it and I hope Catherine this time can get some action on the side with someone else.

Uhhhh... it was a decent episode? IDK, I have to agree with Katie here... everything VinCat-related is just a little off for me. Kind of all over the place... I really like how we have more action though, but I don't like how Cat kind of just settled. GAWD! Vincat has been killing me lately... the writers had a perfect opportunity to keep them apart and keep some tension going between them... yet they didn't! They're already kissing and talking about a future together and Vincent already remembering her. I'm so bored of their relationship, make me want to want them together... stop making it so easy!

I think they are focusing too much on “Vincat” I know that doesn’t really make sense because they are the heart of the show. I can’t really explain it, but I just think there’s more to show that can widen our audience. I've been saying that for awhile. Vincat ended up really bringing down the show last season. Not everyone who watches the show are "Vincat -- blinded to all the errors of their way" shippers! There's a lot of wrong that was done with that relationship last season and that if it continues this season it'll hurt the show. I was so annoyed and close to just quiting the show a few times last season due to Vincat's relationship and the thing that made me happy about this season was KNOWING they would most likely wouldn't really be together. There's got to be more to the show than just the Beauty and The Beast and their romance...

As for the new shows vs. BATB episode wise, going by itunes at the moment BATB is doing way better, likewise on Hulu.
Monday isn't a easy night to begin with, more so when one of the hottest shows this season now airs in the same timeslot as BATB and BATB not having a very good lead in doesn't help matters either.

Here's my review of the boxset:
Didn't show any of the special features due to copyright.

It's not the first time a landmark has been shown in Canadian made shows that are passed for the States. Most people wouldn't recognize them. Unless they're familiar with the US city or where it's filmed in Canada. Being Canadian, I find it interesting when I recognize places! But it's not just any small landmark. They're suppose to be in New York City, most Americans know what New York looks like and should be well aware a tower like that doesn't exist anywhere in New York City. CW is an American network, Beauty and The Beast is a CW tv series. It's one thing if they show the inside of a building or even the outside of a building that looks like possibly a building in New York... But the CN Tower?! That's just lazy production work...it seriously comes off like they just don't care. Hopefully they edit it out in post production. Because if not, people will use that against the series as being cheap and lazy.

Is Catherine suppose to be in Toronto in the premiere? Because you see the CN tower in the background... that better not end up in the episode if where she suppose to be is New York. Because that would be really poor attention to details!

I might be wrong so don't bite my head off. But Evan was never declared dead officially. He is a 'fugitive', who left town, after confessing what he did by e-mail to Gabe. So only the four of them (Cat, Vincent, JT and Tess) know that he is dead. So why would be there a memorial service for him? Or did you meant a memorial service just with four of them? Cat and Tess KNOW he's dead, at least from everything Catherine saw, she saw him die. Fact is, both Catherine and Tess haven't even really grieved him since he died. He was forgotten by the middle of the following episode... not to be mentioned again.

The 100th time? I assume you're using hyperbole to prove your point but they have never once spoken in the past about having a baby, the possibility of a cure, Vincent's secret fears Catherine would leave him if one couldn't be found, or everything Catherine would have to give up in order to be with Vincent. Pretty heavy stuff. Stuff that needs to be discussed. It all gives us a deeper understanding of the characters. I found it beautiful and heartrending to watch. Certainly not boring. But to each their own. I think the heavy stuff that was discussed was too rushed. An entire epi could be created on that theme alone. I think the talking that we get tired of is the use of reiteration to prove a point. For example, how many times did Cat reiterate to Vincent that if he hadn't killed Darius, Heather would be dead? How many times did they discuss not getting so lost in each other that they forget the outside world exists and they become reckless? Over and over these points are made -- said at different points in an epi -- but the same thing. Sometimes, I find it insulting. However, I think the writers are trying to include so many plot points in one epi that they feel they must ingratiate certain ideas in our heads so that we carry those points with us in future episodes. Just my humble opinion. YES!!! That's my point!! Why have the discussion, if it's only going to come up again and again down the line!?

The question here is, how else would the characters interact if they didn't talk about their ongoing relationship? By giving more screen time to other characters or forcing on other aspects of these character's lives that doesn't have to do with their love lives? I wanna see more backstories... like of Catherine's past, after her mother's death. The gap between that and the present time when she runs into Vincent again... A flashback episode would be down right amazing... Honestly, I want to see more FUN episodes that has Catherine having fun with her sister and Tess... IMO there's too much Vincat and for those who watch the series for other reasons then those 2! I understand the show is titled Beauty and the Beast, but if the show will only be watchable and enjoyable for those who ship Vincat and nothing else, then really the writers are limiting their viewership.

But to each their own. As I said, regardless what springs the talk or what the topic is... point is, they TALK too MUCH about their relationship or things in relations to their relationship that it becomes tiresome, more so when the talk is a talk that leads to nothing serious in processing the actual story!

I agree they talk too much. They could move the plot forward, express the sentiments needed, and evoke more natural emotions if they didn't have to repeat the same points over and over and over (as if the audience was too dim-witted to understand the first time). This is all you needed to say, because honestly if you see the problem then there's clearly one and regardless what springs the "talk", it's becoming damn redundant that it keeps happening in every episode since they've gotten together...

People in relationships TALK. That's what they do. Yes, but this is a tv show and if I want to see two people talk who are in a relationship I would turn off my TV and go outside and randomy find a couple and just watch them interact and talk about senseless things. Personally, I would find that to be boring that's why I don't do it... so I don't want the same on a tv show I watch, which I watch to be entertained, not bored each time the main couple talks about things that I've already pointed out, are empty conventions about their relationship for the 100th time.
