KKW i know he did lie but to be honest i think that is totally justified - under the circumstances. Justified would had been if it was life and death... he did it because he wanted to go to a movie with Catherine and feel normal..when they JUST had a TALKED the day before about how Catherine didn't want him to take the pills regardless because they would kill him and he promised her he wouldn't! I'm so tired of them having their talks that are empty, all it really just a bunch of words and sounds. It's just like when they had their talk about having to be more safe, for then the following scene be of them making out on Catherine's fire escape in the open for anyone to see... I wonder why those two even talk anymore, since they clearly don't compute each others words...

they are talking TOO MUCH!! They keep rehashing the same themes of "normal".......I mean one minute you accept Vincent, the next you want something else with him. I mean they are spinning the same things. I just want to see them act like a couple and stop talking about it. THIS! Honestly THIS is what's making me seriously turned off to the series! I find myself not enjoying the show like I uses to... I'm BORED of the Vincat relationship. Either they need to STOP talking or break up... if not, donno if I can seriously deal with it anymore! For me it's too late, Vincent has lied way too much, he lied to Alex about Catherine and kept it up for a few episodes, he kept the truth about Catherine's mother's body not being in the grave and now we know he knows a secret about her parents that he's not telling her... then tonight he makes a promise and less then 24 hours he breaks it. I honestly can't recall Catherine ever really lying or hiding things from Vincent in regards to his personal life or in regards to their relationship... so why does it always seem like she's OKAY when he does it?! I mean I can't get over how quickly she got over the Alex ordeal, it was just ONE episode and she's already willing to kiss him?! UGH! I forgive all these quickness of Catherine forgiving Vincent at the beginning due to the possibly of the writers not knowing if there would be a second season and rushing them into a relationship, completely over stepping the whole ordeal with Alex. But at this point they keep having Vincent do things that are just NOT okay for a honest healthy relationship. Promising your GIRLFRIEND you won't do something, to then do it anyway less then 24 hours later... is NOT okay! Regardless what excuse he puts, he LIED and BROKE a promise!

The one thing that irks me a lot about this series is the lack of attention to important details and the contradictions they do just to move the story forward. Few examples that have bugged me: - Having Vincent and Catherine tell each other they need to be much more careful for then have the following scene to be of Vincent making out in the open for anyone to see to then follow it up with Vincent jumping four stories down from a building where anyone passing by can see him just so Evan would be there to see him.
- Having the characters make us believe a year has already past since the pilot episode which was the 9 year mark of Catherine's mother's death which took place in the Fall. In other woards the seasons of Spring/Summer never happened on the series...they basically went from fall to winter back to fall without we ever seeing Summer/Spring.
- Vincent and JT new location, we've still haven't been told what it is, where its at or how they found it/got it and how that location is a safe location for Vincent to hide out in... Vincent nor JT have mentioned it nor even Catherine who's over protective of Vincent has even asked about the new digs.
- Joe's marriage, in the latest episode Joe telling Tess they should go into the open with their relationship, with any mention of his marriage and also leaving the impression it would make them look bad NOT because Joe's married, but because Tess was snagging up with the boss.
- Evan's death and how quickly Catherine and Tess have gotten over it... Evan was a regular character throughout the series and at the beginning of the series we were left with the impression both Catherine (mainly her) and Tess were really good friends with him... but Catherine got over his death quick and Tess I can't even remember her even grieving his passing in any of the episodes and if she did, it was damn quick! In other words, they did zero justice to Evan's death, its almost like he never existed.
I'm sure there's a lot other things... but these are just a few that have been really bugging me!

I am personally not interested in seeing a realistic portrayal of a relationship. I live in reality. Give me a little "that would never happen in real life romance" for an hour and call me happy. It's beyond not being realistic, it's about two characters making stupid decisions even based in a fictional setting. Do you not think them having a full on discussion about how they need to be more careful for moments later to be making out in the open for anyone who walks by to see as not a stupid decision? It personally irks me to see characters dumbed down to process storylines and the writers of this series continue to do them with these characters... mainly with Vincat. It may not bug you guys now but trust and believe when it keeps happening it will irk you.. Two of the show runners are from a previous tv series I used to watch called Smallville and the same matter of writing and character behavior is surely over lapping to this series that I recall witnessing on Smallville and the ironic thing is, most of the people I see here having an issue with the series are people I know for a fact are former Smallville viewers well. We know the behavior and if it continues it won't get prettier.

Since most of us were disappointed with it, watch it have great numbers... it's always the good episodes that do poorly... not the poor ones... at least that's how it seems like.

Hello it is a romance!!!! I would say that Evan thought he had a little skin in the game and he was dead wrong. LIKE DEAD,DEAD!!!! Romance for me doesn't = two selfish people not thinking of others... because that right there turns me off.

KKW regardless if they take time off from their relationship they still will be looking for Vincent. Point is they are in too deep in all aspects to go back and they love each other. They have to learn to navigate the waters they are in. Some by their fault, some not. Logical as in put him in a cage like an animal, deprived of all things that make him human or keep him remotely human. Sounds like a great show. sarc.. Not exactly EPIC or love conquers all type of thing. Just saying. Not sure you will find any adult decision making on any show. lol They're too deep due to their selfish behavior from 6+ episodes ago, I've been stating this for awhile about these two making stupid decisions just so they can have a relationship and it makes me upset to see how it ended with one of my favorite character dying due to them continuing to make dumb decisions... This would had NEVER happened if Vincent and Catherine didn't feel the need to make-out where everyone and the world could see them, to then end it with Vincent jumping from a 5 story building on to a moving truck, to then into the streets of NYC where anyone randomly walking by would had clearly seen him... And all this happens just moments after Vincat had a discussion about how they need to be more safe...

Evan had to go to keep justifying the Vincat relationship, regardless how silly it is at this point for them to continue to have one without looking like two very selfish human beings.
The writers will shoot themselves in the foot if they continue to write these two like that...because if the two lead characters become unlikable to those who aren't blinded by the Vincat romance, like someone like myself... there's no longer a show to enjoy.

KKW.COM I think that was the point of the conversation is that they feel like they are being selfish by being together because of the way it is affecting everyone in their life. Yet they continue to be in a relationship with each other.... so their words are empty. If they truly cared they would take some time off, they KNOW their relationship is dangerous, yet they've continue! They need to STOP talking and start acting.... if they can't realize by now that their relationship with each other is causing harm to those around them... then they're both for the lack of better word-- stupid! Their relationship is turning me off as the series processes. The shallowness of their making-out and whatever else isn't doing it for me, I need more logical, adult decisions from these two!

The Vincat relationship is starting to irk me... Evan dies and here we have Vincent and Catherine talking about their relationship for the 100th time... can these 2 for a moment stop and just morn the passing of one of Catherine's bestfriend without talking about how much they want each other?
At this point both Vincent and Catherine are coming off SUPER selfish. Allowing everything around them fall apart, allowing others to die, just so they can be together?
Donno how much more they have to see go wrong around them until they realize that maybe their relationship isn't the most important thing on this planet... that others well being should come first before their feelings for each other.

You know what else is stupid, the fact in the pilot it states "FALL 2003" and now they've decided to make an episode based on the anniversary of her mother's death in Spring... Seems really weird. Why on earth would the writers miss this detail? Because they don't watch their own show? The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing? They just don't care? The answer to that would be somewhat amazing to know... I'm annoyed that messed up such an important detail from the pilot like that!

It's a poll where you can vote as many times as you like, it means nothing... more so when there were actual BATB fans admitting to not actually reading the poll and just blindly voting for BATB. In other words, the results is a joke that shouldn't be taken seriously whatsoever or even remotely get worked up over... it's silly and a waste of energy.
