Beasties, we have worked way too hard for this show to get cancelled! It's time to go into beast mode. Tell everyone you know that watched BATB to watch live! On Monday on the CW. We need at least 1 million viewers this next episode. Spread the word!!! I will make sure to watch live!!!

That's gonna be a tough one because looking at NBC schedule there is alpine skiing speed skating and the main thing probably is the hockey starting at 8pm ARGH!!!!!LET us sincerely hope BatB fans with Nielsen boxes are not that keen on winter sports. I love sport esp hockey but I would dvr it and support our show cause it needs all the help it can get

I see this whole Monday thing as a test. If we survive this year and get renewed we can have all the 5 seasons they planned.

I'm worried that the perspective of GabeRine might affect negatively the little increase we had on the ratings last Monday. If we could maintain this number or maybe increase it a little, we still could have a chance. I just don't want the show to end the way it is today. I would be happy even with half season, if they went back to S1's magic.

Season 2 premiered to a lowly Nielsen rating of .3 and under a million viewers, whether due to one, all, some or none of the following -- change of day, weaker lead-in, Sleepy Hollow, Monday Night Football, memory wipe, love triangles, more beasts, more Gabe, no Evan, etc. Whatever the reason, some 360,000 fewer viewers didn't bother to even tune it to the second season, but what happened in season 1?
The last 7 episodes of season one have VinCat together, in love and united, along with JT and eventually Tess, against the world, but we go from Insatiable with a .6 and 1.71 million viewers to a near season low 1.26 million viewers and a .5 rating for the season finale. And our DVR numbers fall from .8 to .7. Why do people think nearly 500,000 viewers stopped watching between Insatiable and the season 1 finale? And if our numbers had stayed at Insatiable levels for the remainder of the first season, do you think the network/studio would have ordered or allowed the changes that we have in season 2?

You are spot on with your observations. The die-hard fans stayed faithful to the show, but sadly BATB was not immune against the old television rule: once the "will they/won’t they" is over and the couple is together, some viewers always will lose interest. I think they still had the chance to bring new viewers in, or old ones back, but failed by not promoting season 2 enough or promoting wrongly.

Yeah, it was a mistake to hook them up. The build up is always better than the payoff in this format. However, it's all water under the bridge at this point.
