I understand the light went out because Heather messed up, but why did the rent check bounce? Does that not indiciate that there were not enough funds in the bank account?
Here in Germany, you have the bank make automated payments to recurring bills: rent, utilities, loan paybacks, etc. That way you do not forget anything and it 'lightens the load', makes life 'normal', helps with managing 'crazy busy' work schedules, etc.
I know, we have to roll with the punches and I am still watching and enjoying, just sometimes I have to make a comment and bemoan that the writers cannot find more creative ways to show us certain things that they consider very important, but end up being completely unrealistic and downright stupid.
Still S4 is much more enjoyable than S3 - somebody emptied a bottle of fabric softener over my beloved Catherine and she has not given anybody a heart attack or beaten somebody already down and out to a pulp. She kicks ass where she should and is awesome like she used to be, just wish the director had her shoot Albert from the front. That is the third (at least) guy she had to shoot in the back for drama reasons.

Here's the review from TV Empress. Her sarcasm is always funny to me. www.tvrepublik.com/2016/06/recap-batb-s4e4.html?spref=twI like reading Nick's reviews and TV Empress's recaps. For me, they kind of represent the two general camps that current BATB fans fall into. 1) Those that have come to terms with what the show has become and still enjoy it (Nick) 2) Those that are not as happy, want more of S1 feels, but hang in there as fans regardless (TV Empress) Upon watching the CW's airing of 404, I do feel that S4 is getting stronger now with each episode. I really used to like TV empress review but now I feel that she just dispointed in Batb and barely tolarate the show.

Since Cat seemed to be relying on Heather to manage their household affairs and then fired her because their lights were out and the rent check bounced.

I agree. I think that's why many fans who also feel the same way can identify with her recaps. OTOH, Nick truly does seem to enjoy the show in its present form (S2 & S3 included).

I'm not sure WHAT to think of Hill at this point. I don't believe he would have his own family threatened. Yet this IS BATB we are talking about, and the writers pretty consistently go the same way (which is a creative way of saying that they can't think up new stuff!). So given what we know about Kern and BATB under his "vision," either Hill is a traitor, or he is about to end up dead. They have made a point of telling us that he is now the ONLY one at DHS that knows the truth and that people are asking questions. AND we have seen how really apparently EASY it is to hack into DHS systems or offices. . . .

At first he didn't seem like he was enough to help them and keep it on the down low. He is obviously someone who is important or will be bc he's still around and I don't think they would spend all that time on him on air if he wasn't going to be important later. Same thing with Kyle, maybe he's the one getting his hands dirty on order from Hill. But with 404 airing we now know there is possibly 2 people after Vincent and they want them all dead.

I'm thinking that Hill has remained alive this long because Vincent's actual identity as the beast was unknown. To me, that is why Hill can't be the bad guy pulling the strings--he knew all along that it was Vincent. So now that Vincent's identity IS known, AND he has a personal reason to help Vincent now, there is no further use for him from the big bad's point of view. Thus, if BATB follows to code, Hill would be the next target.
(I try not to get invested in agents on BATB--they tend to end up dead!)

Well if VinCat were being smart, they would pay their bills from a separate bank's checking account to lessen the risk of their main savings being subject to online theft. But if they forgot to transfer funds to the bill paying account, then their rent check would bounce. I think it makes VinCat more heroic and less selfish when they are saving people because it's what they want to do rather than so they can have their happily ever after, but at least this season Vincent is written as less focused on himself and KK is playing Cat less tense.

- I've been a KK fan for a very long time, but I always thought her name was pronounced like "crook". But when she did the intro on the CW, she pronounced it like "crew-k". Glad I found out finally. - The Scooby Doo gang aspect of this show holds it back somehow. I mean Vincent is an ER Doctor with superpowers. How can you go wrong? But they should also let Cat do kip-ups on the rafters every so often. Hard to develop four character story-threads in a single episode (not counting Heather). - Ah, the old familiar coffee shop in the morning. Loved it! -Cat with the pregnancy scare, haven't we been there and done that? Although BeastieBoy makes a good point that we can see how Vincent has grown on this issue. However, my expectation is that the series will end with Vincent returned to normal and the way paved for their parenthood.
- I was surprised that a guy could draw his gun from behind his back and still hit Vincent. Come on... seriously?
- There used to be more satisfying action sequences. But now it's all Vincent blur-out sequences. At least tonight only half the conversations were breathless conversations repeating the same exposition. I say let the late-comers feel lost. Scroom.I'm still hoping the show will end with one of them, preferably Cat, dying but I'd settle for VinCat having to give up being married and the possibility of children and their jobs, friends and family in order to be together. So far the show has them willing to risk other people's lives so they can be together or rather unaffected by the deaths their being together has caused. LOL Yes not sure how V could outrun machine gun fire but be to slow to not get shot by a guy drawing his gun. And if he could still blur around, why couldn't he just knock Albert out like he did the other dudes. And LOL at how two episodes in a row, the show shows no interest in the victims once they've served their purpose-- Sonya and her endangered family and Judy and her two boys. What did Cat say to Judy when she went back to her apartment. Sorry didn't save your husband, shot him in the back instead.

You know I'd prefer a fairy tale happy ending, but I'm starting to warm up to your idea, only if it's done right.
