Below is the slow motion of the END scene..Look at it and see Vincent's reaction to what he had done. At watching this the other night when I was making the clips from the episode I came to the conclusion that he didn't know or understand what he was doing. Both of them got hurt in that scene. Both must come to terms with it and move forward..AS must we this clip won't play!! It says "this video is private" Help!!! I really want to see it!

First of all, I must say that it's a bold move the writers have taken this season with Vincent. Given the fact that the fan base is not huge and not growing like some other shows, it's a lot risky but I like it. So far.
Then again, I have come into season two with the same disconnect as Vincent.
I think Jay Ryan is doing an excellent job at convincing me that he's not (for now) the Vincent of season one. I found nothing romantic and sensual about their scenes. Vincent is attracted to Catherine but the "I can't live without you" Vincent is not there. How and why Catherine does not see this is beyond me. So I am going to jump on her first.
Given the fact that Catherine knows all about Vincent's history, she should be much more sympathetic and sensitive to the guy's emotional and physical condition. This is not some guy lying to her about his memory loss in order to get out of a relationship. This is a guy whom from the first time she met him has told her and she has seen it for herself that he had been altered. If he comes now after three months and she notices that he has been altered again, then Catherine should by now understand what that means. So her feelings for him are not being reciprocated. Give it time. Be patient.
The kisses, the picnic on the roof, these were all nice touches. Though I see how Vincent is just not connecting with her on the same level. He's probably just thinking, "Wow! This hot chick is really diggin' me." But the "I am so in love with you," Vincent of last season is so not there. And this was the one thing that got me ticked off about this episode more so than anything else. Why the hell did Catherine sleep with him? I thought it was too rushed and desperate on her part. She really thought it was going to bring Vincent's memory back. Come on. Maybe she was just trying to get her groove on. But I say it was too soon. One thing is being pushy and trying to do things to trigger a memory and another things to pretend to make love when it was just sex. And yeah, Vincent is just playing the guy in this, "If I knew that was part of your roof top plan, I never would have jumped." In other words, "Oh, you're easy!"

Don't agree about Vincent thinking Catherine is easy. He came back at the end to have that picnic, and he NEVER said she was a one night stand. Obviously they didn't make love like in S1 (it was more about following their physical attraction) and I may find it rush too but it had a purpose and it showed how desperate (and wrong) was Catherine for getting Vincent's memories back that way. As much as I love the "I'm so in love with you" this is a TV show and in order to get renewed (hopefully s3 and so on) we need some angst and unexpected plots and definetely they are getting that! I think Jay is doing an AMAZING job because he's able to switch his performance from the new-cold-distant super soldier and leave us see some glimpses of our old Vincent. I definetely have seen few (or many) of them since s2 started, and especially in ep 2! I also like the idea of unfolding Vincent's memories, slowly, so we may be able to witness the process, the way he starts remembering everything, remembering HER, and I have the feeling that will be SO ROMANTIC! I also can't wait to see Vincent gaining Catherine's trust. Saving her, keeping her from any danger (ep 4 Reunion looks like that!) and in the last term, to conquer her and make her fall in love with him again!!! So, IMO, I say go on writters! I trust you and since we are just in ep 2, I want to see how this arc develops (until ep 8!)

i think there'll be something in store for us after the break which will make the rating soar and huge buzz among viewers and beasties especially; just like last season. there was alex, then there was the first kiss, then the love scenes which left most people with their mouth open (pun intended ) Just IMHO, otherwise one can dreammm...

As for the infamous last scene.
It was a little shocking. Since I read all spoilers not so much. I am glad I was prepared.
I just thought that this was part of who this Vincent is. Don't get in his way or he will kick your ***.
Now Catherine needs to come back and say, "I am a cop. I am authorized to kick yours if you come at me. I am authorized to investigate you if you're into anything criminal or illegal. And I will be on you whether you like it or not."
Even though Vincent may be stronger and faster, she can still show him that she is not going to back down. Which we know is going to be the case in episodes to come.

I agree with you that Catherine should understand his emotional condition and be more understanding. this would be the rational thing to do. But - she is desperate, and I think that is what the writers want to convey. dont forget, she just saw him, it is not like she has this attitude towards him for a year or sth, she will go through phases, the first being a bit in denial of not only the fact that he has changed but also the fact that she can straightaway change him back. she now knows he is not the same vincent and is also upset so her strategy will change. if i were in her position I would probably be the same, and I really cannot blame her for having sex with him, though I understand how annoying it is for her to keep asking, do you remember even right after sex. I disagree that vincent just sees her as a hot chick. Yes, he is not the old vincent and he is not the I cannot live without you Vincent, but that would be ridiculous, he does not remember her! also, I dont think he is just sexually attracted to her, it is evident in each one of their scenes that she affects him in more than one level, it is not just sexual attraction, it is emotional connection, it is a range of things and he can't help it. she is already causing him turmoil and it is clear he will soon start questioning himself. I Agreed. I still don't think the sex was out of place, like Yolie said she was using all the options she felt available to her to help 'jog his memory' even though we all knew it wouldn't be that easy Also, it's definitely more than sexual attraction, this pull and affect she has on him is something he cannot explain and if it was nothing more than sex, he would never have gone back to her rooftop and left the note for her to me him there. Nor would he have wanted to hang out with her on the rooftop before it escalated.

This was my sense as well. I think Catherine was in a lot of denial these first two episodes and wanted a "quick fix" that would miraculously bring Vincent 1.0 back. She seemed to think that if she could just find the right combination of talking about the past and getting physical , he would somehow return to being the same guy and everything would be fine. I think the combination of sleeping together, which didn't trigger anything, and then him shoving her, which is something Vincent 1.0 would never have done, was finally the wake up call she needed to realize that there wasn't going to be a fast/easy solution. Can't blame a girl for tryin', though.
ETA-newbie alert : I'm still working on getting my quoting to work but this was in reference to anapi's comment.
