I've not read through the comments, just thought I'd post my unbiased opinion of this episode... I thought it was GREAT! It was really fun, action oriented, and I loved the Bob and Carol characters and how they kind of mirror VinCat. I felt it was a well developed story and there wasn't a single minute where I wasn't glued to the screen. Overall, a very entertaining hour of television! This season is off to a strong start, I am truly enjoying each episode and can't wait for the next one to see how the story evolves. It doesn't have the romantic angst of S1 (yet), but that's okay with me (for now). I have feeling the angst will return by mid-season. I think S3 has a different feel from S2, just as S2 was different from S1. They've reinvented the show again and I like it.

Did I tell ya or did I tell ya...? Now we have Cat Woman (Cat), Beast Boy (V) (not to be confused with BeastieBoy ) , Healing Guy? (JT) and finally Captain Vargas (Tess)!!! The Fantastic Four. Comic book superheroes. How cool is this? Predict JT will be developing powers right and left. And we know, of course, with great power comes great responsibility...

Lol this was funny it would be even better if besides the fab four we also get to see some heart going forward (not literally - pretty sure we will get to see a few literal ones). Now if that happens I will be super happy (I may even develop a super power from all the excitement).

FINALLY FINALLY saw this episode last night with the rest of the US Beasties. And I have to say, I loved this one as well.
I loved the commitment level of VinCat portrayed in this episode. They both want to make their relationship work. And neither blames the other for their commitment level to their occupations. I loved the little touches of their devotion to one another--how Catherine had clearly put the blue blanket over Vincent while he slept and had done everything she could not to wake him back up. Vincent then feeling so bad for falling asleep on Catherine and being determined to have a romantic dinner with Cat on the rooftop. Both of them clearly put thought into bringing on the romance, even if they keep getting interrupted! I even loved their morning routine at the boathouse, where each talks to one another while dressing and brushing teeth (with Cat having to help Vincent fix his shirt! Too cute!).
Their COMFORT LEVEL with one another is amazing, and their communication and WILLINGNESS to listen to one another has really progressed. VinCat were able to easily work together. In 216 ("About Last Night"), VinCat had quarreled throughout the ball regarding how and when Vincent could help Catherine with the bad guys, with Catherine objecting to Vincent taking away her control of the situation and right to say when and IF he could intervene. Here, VinCat naturally divide up the tasks AND TRUST one another in their independent contributions to the case. NOTICE that Vincent lets Cat take on the bad guys in obtaining the flash drive AND DOES NOT intervene, even when Cat is clearly at risk. He trusts her to handle the situation or to call him in when necessary.
And Cat listens to Vincent's judgment and instincts regarding Bob and Carol and what they should tell them. Again, so much different and better than their Season 2 counterparts when Vincent questioned Cat's plans or wouldn't let her be involved in his missions. Clearly, they will handle everything AS A TEAM from here on out. And Vincent goes with Cat's judgment about sneaking into Agent Thomas' room, even though he is against the plan. So EVEN WHEN THEY DISAGREE with the other's plan, once a decision is made to move forward, THEY OPERATE TOGETHER. (Still LOVED the almost mini-spat in the interrogation room where VinCat is arguing over what to tell/admit to Bob and Carol. Too funny! Shows what they still have to work on--also made Carol readily IDENTIFY and even sympathize with VinCat, even when she didn't yet know Vincent's full capabilities.)
I LOVED THE LITTLE VINCAT MOMENTS and how much they clearly love one another and are committed to moving forward with their wedding and their lives together. And how Vincent clearly LOVED the idea of simply being married to Cat within 6 weeks--that was the selling point to him of Heather's wedding. Yes, he loved the idea of not having to worry about things like band and venue, but he loved even more the idea that within that timeframe, Cat would be his wife. So his living together concerns from one episode ago are already gone, and he is happy living with Cat fulltime. Vincent doesn't NEED a safety net in the boathouse anymore and already can't imagine living without Cat.
And most importantly to me, I loved how the wedding ceremony isn't the end-all, be-all of their existence. When I hear someone say that the wedding day is supposed to be the "happiest day of their life," I have always thought that was setting a really low bar for the marriage itself! Although they want the wedding to be special in its own way, VinCat clearly want something small and intimate. And the emphasis is being MARRIED.
You see in this episode where Heather went wrong with her fiancé. They planned the wedding down to every detail, with Heather clearly being obsessed with the day (definitely Bridezilla) to the point that she lost track of what had been between her and Matthew. We had seen already in Season 2's "Operation: Fake Death" how Heather would lose herself in the wedding rituals like the bachelorette party in order to keep from actually dealing with her life and the continuing complexities and burdens being added to it. And Heather had been so focused on HER wedding, that she was unable to let go and was trying to live vicariously through Cat. I loved the moment where it hit Heather about just how over-the-top and wrong she was. And that VinCat had far more serious issues to address than a ceremony.
I also loved how Heather clearly feels comfortable enough around Vincent to just come barging in at will at not only the apartment BUT also AT THE BOATHOUSE, which was formerly Vincent's sole domain. And Vincent already treats her like the annoying little sister that she is and that he has never had before. She's family, plain and simple, and both Catherine AND Vincent indulge Heather in this episode because of it AND because they are protective of her in their way. And Vincent DOESN'T beast-out on Heather in this episode, even though her actions would warrant SOME explosion by any sane and rational person WITHOUT beast issues!
Yes, I was exasperated with Heather's conduct at certain points in this episode. But she was trying to come from a place of love. She clearly loves being back in her sister's life. She wanted Cat to help plan and be a part of her wedding, and she wants to do the same for Cat. And once she realizes that she is making Cat's wedding all about her, she immediately backs off and apologizes. She and Cat both want that close sisterly relationship. So Heather added that wee bit of humor BUT also helped ground VinCat and UNITE them in what they actually DO WANT from their wedding!
As to Bob and Carol: they present a lot of potential, in my eyes. Carol was PETRIFIED in the end about "going back" to their employers (?) empty-handed. So do they want Vincent OR JT? They see Cat as a means to an end. And the fact that Bob could so easily contemplate killing her off in order to protect themselves. Bob and Carol have a fierce set of abilities that lets them hold their own, YET THEY ARE REALLY scared of this organization. They killed off Agent Thomas for seemingly getting "too close" in having appropriated the serum from the courier in the first place. YET they fear the consequences from this action as drawing attention to the organization, presumably. AGAIN, THIS EPISODE REQUIRES that you make CERTAIN ASSUMPTIONS regarding Bob's and Carol's loyalties which may OR MAY NOT be correct, at this point. SO I LOVE THE MYSTERY that is being created.
So I like this seasonal arc. I just hope the ultimate REVEAL lives up to the hype. But I am ENJOYING the journey this season. There is ALWAYS something to love about BATB that just keeps me watching. And I love how devoted VinCat remains to one another and to the cause of saving the world.

This episode was SO good! I LOVED that there was no "beast of the week" that we just don't care about. Bob and Carol provide the villain that you love to hate, and open up the entire rest of the season of "who is out there...who's in charge?" Love it! An ongoing villain with so many unanswered questions. It reminds me of what Muirfield promised to be in the beginning, but they didn't allow it to be...dangerous, mysterious, etc. Other things I loved: Opening scene...Cat's face when V fell asleep. Lol! V snuggling with the blanket after Heather barged in. JT trying to move the lamp with "the force." Houseboat scene with Cat re-dressing V. Loved seeing Captain Ward again...sorry that he is leaving now that Tess is Captain. Finally, Vincat...especially V leaving a roof note on his prescription pad...so many season 1 feels, but I love Vincent 3.0. Now we just need a fire escape scene, and all will be good! The episode flew by, but not in a rushed way...I love where this season is headed!

The only thing that made me say "What?!" was when V put that VERY large and very sharp knife in his pants. That would have sliced up those butt cheeks when he walked up the stairs...ouch!

I must say the idea of Bob & Carol firing two separate bullets that collide with each other to get the right trajectory, is one I've never encountered before, and sounds a little silly now that I say it out loud. There wouldn't be some time when a single shot could be fired with a straight, simple trajectory?
Also, it wasn't clear whether their super-speed was faster than Vincent's super-speed... Anyway, pleasant to see Natasha Henstridge, star of many sci-fi movies (like Species) and, if I may say, pretty easy on the eyes.
And I have one word for Heather and her detailed (military precision) wedding planning book...
Elope!
Who's going to come besides Jt, Tess and Heather? Tess's brothers? I hope not!
And one final thought: to the lovely 79th Street Boat Basin Houseboat, bachelor pad and scene of many fond Vincat moments...
RIP
You will be missed...

The episode flew by, but not in a rushed way...I love where this season is headed! Yes this episode is full of great little moments, I loved all of those that you mentioned above. Here's a few more: - Heather barging into the apt, startling Vincent awake and then Heather screaming. It left me laughing in stitches! - Cat as a call girl and using her shoes as weapons. On a related note, I'm still not satisfied with all of C.A.'s wardrobe choices, that is not a "call girl" dress IMO. It should have been a much sexier dress! And those shoes looked a little too big for Cat/KK, was she supposed to be wearing Carol's shoes?- The entire ending Houseboat scene, starting with Bob/Carol (CaBob?, Borol? BobCa?) vs VinCat sizing each other up while making small talk and ending with the explosive destruction of the Houseboat. I agree that they do make worthy adversaries for our titular heroes. As much as I loved this episode, here are a few gripes that I hope are addressed in upcoming episodes: - I'm just not feeling Tess as Captain. Will need to see how Nina plays the role and how her arc develops. - Not feeling JTnT either. - Would like to have more romantic angst filled situations for VinCat. I have a feeling that may build up as the season progresses. Would like the show to create a real sense of danger to heighten the drama and truly threaten VinCat's happily ever after. - And they absolutely need more moments of EPIC love. Even though they're engaged and together now, I think the show makers can still work in those little moments that take one's breath away. Like that epic kiss on the staircase during the masquerade ball in AMP, the fire escape moments, and the proposal in 301. If they can just get more epic love back into the mix, the show will be perfect for me. All in all, I really like this season a lot. Each episode is getting better and better story wise for me; I'm drawn into the story and like where things seem to be heading.

Vincent explained that they seem to be enhanced with a super ability to slowdown their perception of things which allows them to anticipate in advance. That's what allowed them to hold their own with VinCat during the houseboat battle and also what gives them the ability to shoot separate bullets to change the trajectory. Hard to believe, but it's sci-fi so I'm just rolling with it...
