Liked your review Anna, it was fun and you have some good points. You know, I had already joined other boards in the past (about authors) but This is the first one where I Can see such reviews with all those gifs!! And since This is my 1st season watching while it airs, don't know if it's a beastie'specialty or something people do all the time on other boards now, but This must take so MUCH time to find the exact GIF expression...just to think about it, I'd be exhausted. So bravo!

Watching....anyone else? I say "Co-Dependency" Drinking game........ Bob and Carol are kinda cool Baddies. Awesome fight scene Cat!! I like JT story unfolding. His Supervision! He looks so different without his glasses. Tess has really embraced the Police Captain role. Pulling rank on Cat......I like to see the Cat/Tess dynamic beefed up. Did Tess cut her hair?? I loved it longer and curled but she looks more businesslike with is shorter. I don't know why I get obsessed with hair. I like that they curled Cat's hair but it is too short for my tastes for Cat. Awwww.........JT said "I love you" to Tess on the phone. Tess was going to kick Carol's Arse too! JT risked his life to save Vincent, banking on his healing ability. All these superpowers to keep track of. Carol stops her heart. I wasn't feeling the destined love between them, but I see the point of two people that are similar to VinCat. I think we are beyond punching JT. Tess......a bit juvenile especially since JT said he loved you. I. too, am not feeling the JTnTess relationship. Nice but lacks some sparks. Loved the end scene. Very sweet VinCat. Now I definitely feel the Destined Love between them. I don't want the coffeehouse to be a new VinCat place though. Good episode.

Random comments:
Did anyone else feel the weariness of Cat's antics in Tess's comment to her about leaving JT alone because he had something to worry about besides Cat's mythology? Did anyone else think Cat was a little disappointed that Vincent shook off the primal beast without her presence? Asking him if he would ever stop his heart for her on the heels of that question said a lot about Cat's insecurities. <Mod Edit: Please see rule 2 for why your post has been edited.>

Thanks VinCat❤Destined for the end scene clip. So sweet. I do enjoy some of the cute VinCat banter. I like the teasing or the bickering or the "heart to heart" conversations........ It feels more normal and comfortable. I must say seeing the Season 1 Vincent and Cat scenes took my breath away. I miss Vincent's longer hair and That Scar!! Can't help it, it symbolized his Beastie-ness. It made him a bit vulnerable. Cat gave him confidence. I never saw VinCat as "co-dependent".......that's negative and it makes you think that they hold each other back. I always thought the show did a good job with making it evident that Vincent and Catherine were "Better Together". They "complete each other."..........never once did I think that Vincent and Catherine were "Co-Dependent". I just didn't see it. I hope in someway we throw that term out the window and reinforce the "independently strong" yet, "Better Together" !

Had to actually run up to the office to post thoughts on this one! Haven't yet had a chance to read other reviews, so if I post something same or similar to someone else, it is just great Beastie minds thinking alike!!! (DID see Arwenfan's comment on Catherine. Arwenfan, don't make me beast out on you!! That was HARSH on my poor Cat! Especially when I LOVED her so this episode!)
I have typically enjoyed the BATB episodes that bookend with something, such as VinCat and their dreams (think 214). Thus, I liked beginning and ending in the café. ESPECIALLY the way that it ended, with VinCat lost in each other. Even the background blurs around them to symbolize this.
What I didn't exactly enjoy was the harping on the whole co-dependency thing, which I disagreed with (see my posts for 304) previously, preferring that VinCat LEARN to be more dependent on one another rather than less so. That whole dialogue rubbed me wrong, and I even felt Jay and KK were stumbling over it.
But I LOVED CAT IN THIS ONE!!! YEAH, you HEARD me Arwenfan! (And sidebar--Arwenfan, you know I always love how you are such a strong supporter of Vincent and get me less angry with him after reading some of your posts. So you KNOW my comments come with love and appreciation of you as well! So please know I am teasing and NOT bashing--just trying to defend My Cat!!! Nothin' but love for you, but gotta disagree with your earlier post!! Hopefully, I can bring you around A LITTLE BIT about her as you often bring me around about Vincent!)
I LOVE that Cat really TRIES to get ahold of her issues to the point that it frustrated Carol! While Cat originally runs off without thinking after Carol, she pulls herself up and stops. And while she gets snarky with Tess at first, she still follows orders. And she didn't withhold her information from her partner, either. (And I just LOVED KK'S little looks throughout this episode--from annoyed, frustrated, loving, caught in the act, caught up in the moment--she really had lovely expressions all over the place.) BUT, she doesn't GLOAT over Tess as she could have done and deserved to do, quite frankly. She is supportive of Tess' role AND you can tell how she has thought about it seriously since Tess called her out on her worrisome behavior. And Cat handled the thing properly, protected her partner, AND KICKED CAROL'S BUTT! Cat did not let herself get distracted, but thought things through AND actually outsmarted Carol AS WELL AS out-fighting her!
But I also LOVED how Cat really felt sorry for Carol--you saw that in her sympathetic look towards Carol. They UNDERSTOOD each other and how each felt about their beloved. And Cat's worry for Vincent, her pride in him--all that came through for me.
And to throw Arwenfan an additional happy thought---I loved Vincent in this episode as well. LOVED how he reacted upon realizing that Cat was in trouble most likely with Carol. Was actually scary to see a primal side of Vincent that WOULD actually consider attacking JT---in Season 1, JT had said he DIDN'T fear Vincent hurting him. Here, Vincent stops himself by concentrating on Cat and the future he so clearly ardently craves. So Arwenfan, you don't have to love my Cat here, since I felt Vincent had MORE than enough love for her to see it through! And he loves her even when frustrated with her and even when she wasn't exactly following the "rules" to the letter. But she is still the end-all, be-all of his existence, and I LOVED THAT!!! To me, THAT had a Season 1 feel to it--that almost supernatural bond between them that can call to one another even when not directly in front of one another.
And LOVED LOVED LOVED the way JT was the one TO BANK ON THEIR LOVE and to be willing to make such a PAINFUL sacrifice, KNOWING that Vincent would be able to calm himself down with mearly thoughts of Cat. So JT has ultimate faith in their otherworldly bond, even when they seem to be doubting.
The over-eager newbie partner! Oh my poor sweet Cat, especially when patience is not exactly Cat's strongest trait! Was JUST enough comedy for me there. But I LOVED how Cat protected the guy and later supported Tess, letting Tess know that she was right overall, even though Tess (and the others) had doubted Cat's instincts once again. WHICH WERE RIGHT AGAIN, by the by. Still riding the wave of love I feel for my Cat now! She TRIES in this episode and she SUCCEEDS in this episode.
And got to give it to those music guys (and gals!) again for choosing Tove Lo while VinCat are staring dreamily into one another's eyes as the background just LITERALLY fades away for them! SWOON!
And I also liked that NORMAL life means finding someplace else IN ADDITION to our beloved rooftop. It is nice to see Vincent and Cat sharing moments drinking coffee. Helps me feel better about the amount of times I saw Cat with he-who-should-never-be-named drinking coffee at a table. So I WANT to blot out those scenes with VinCat ones!
REALLY liked this one overall, once they quit completely harping on that co-dependency stuff and just enjoyed being together! Nothing like surviving another death threat to make everything right with everyone in this episode! Nice!

It just kind of rubbed me the wrong way. It just felt like something a teenage girl would have asked of her boyfriend. I know I know...I'll get ready for the villagers to come after me with a pitchfork and torches.

Nick Roman said: "Assuming J.T. has been killed, Vincent snaps free from his chains and beasts out on Bob, snapping his neck and killing him altogether. And although J.T.’s healing factor is already kicking in, it’s too late to take back Bob’s murder. Of course, it’s about more than J.T. though. Remember, Vincent is operating under the assumption that Carol may have killed Cat. In essence, Vincent is someone with nothing left to lose. And a beast with nothing left to lose is a HORRIFYING prospect, especially when it results in Vincent killing someone as quickly and as easily as he killed Bob. This introduces an aspect of morality into the overall dilemma. Early in the episode, Vincent passes Bob’s “morality check”. But by the end of the episode? He’s essentially thrown morality out the window, and it shows in the difference in approach between his side of the story and Cat’s."
Since when is self-defense murder, beast mode or not? It appeared that Bob pulled a big old knife out on Vincent and it looked to me like Vincent buried the knife in Bob's throat. (I admit that I have to re-watch the episode on a device with smoother playback to be sure of this.) Bob taunted Vincent that Cat was dead, but I did not get the feeling the Vincent actually believed him. Bob was hardly an innocent in this situation. His death is an acceptable casualty, IMO.
I can't disagree enough with the notion that Vincent has thrown morality out the window or that the comparison of approaches used by Vincat is fair. If Cat had not been able to subdue Carol, there is no doubt in my mind she would have have managed to kill her. If Vincent had failed to kill Bob, Vincent would have been dead. Where is the problem, Nick? Sometimes a tree is just a tree.

That question sort of bugged me, too, but Vincent's response and the kissing kind of made me forget my annoyance.
