I loved it! VinCats line at the end was just dead dead dead! Loved everything about the episode and love what the writers are trying to show us and accomplish for VinCat. They are really a special couple who is trying to be normal, but destiny keeps getting in the way, yet no matter what they still overcome the twist & turns. So amazing! And I loved the VinCat flashbacks and how V finally was able to come back on his own from beast mode without Catherine talking him down, but bc of her love.

I even appreciated Tess & JT together and I love JTs storyline and how all that's playing out. Was weird seeing JT without glasses too. And I love and always admired JTs loyalty, what he did for V this episode reminded me of a lot of the crazy stuff he did in S1 to protect Vincent. AB is nailing it too!

Jefferen and Daya---
MOOOOOREEEEE, I need MORE!!!! It sounds like an excellent episode from your TOO BRIEF comments.
Don't leave me like this----MOOOOOOORRRRREEEE!
How did VinCat get separated? Did either Bob or Carol die? How did VinCat act when they got back together---and I NEED every little possible detail on this one!!!!!!
And JT--I'm assuming that he was not wearing glasses due to his eyes being "healed" by his power? (Which is where you begin to see the problem with an extreme healing ability--eventually, your body would overreact to anything and EVERYTHING, causing the immune system to be in constant overload. . . . I'm wondering if this is where the writers are going with this.)
As to the line one of you quoted ---GIVE ME CONTEXT HERE so I can see WHY it is so romantic!!!
Come on, you KNOW you want to spill your VinCat secrets!!! I NEEDS my PRECIOUS--my VinCat SPOILERS. Gives me MORE of MY PRECIOUS. . . . . .

It's amazing but each episode has a different approach and appeal. About your questions I will try to give you a brief summary so stop reading if you don't want to know
Vin and Cat got Split by their jobs and Bob & Carol take this advantage to attack them when they are not together. Vin and Cat have their own fights but of course they won (Vin does it thanks to JT who as usual is ready to be Vincent inspiration no matter how much it could cost to him even his life). Both Bob & Carol are history, but Carol death is her own decisiĆ³n, literaly she stops her heart because she doesn't want to live without Bob. That's where the quoted line comes from, Cat wants to know if Vincent would stop his heart for her and he answers that his heart stops each time he sees her ( I'm sure it will be one of BatB favorite moments!)

That was a fun and exciting episode. So last week's episode was meant to give background on the co-dependency issues that Vincent and Catherine as well as Bob and Carol have. Based on Bob and Carol's own experiences, they believe that our VinCat are totally co-dependent like them, hence the plan to separate the two and kill Cat while Vincent is lured into the woods. It was great that Vincent and Catherine showed that they are a good team yet capable of working separately. Carol's suicide at the end on learning that Bob was dead just showed that the Bobol? Carob? relationship was still stuck in total co-dependency, while VinCat had changed and improved.
It's great seeing those flashbacks to S1 when Vincent brings himself back out of his primal state. The ending scene back at Il Cantuccio with that last line by Vincent was a great "aw shucks" moment too. I think we'll have to expect that more of their couples moments in the series are gonna be like this.
Also poor JT. Dunno what's happening with him but I wonder how he can do what he's supposed to do in the next episode for Vincent when he's like this? I do think the writers should have made a more tender reunion between JTnT. Tess was suitably distraught and scared when she got JT's call but the meeting back at JT's place did not seem to fit. I mean she didn't even kiss him, for goodness' sake!

. I mean she didn't even kiss him, for goodness' sake! She did better. She punched him! LOL I really enjoy most of the JT and Tess scenes. I think maybe the writers are having an easier time writing their scenes than VinCat. I don't need them to have physical or romantic chemistry. I just want them to be interesting and have a fun dynamic.

OK shameless plug but I love the song in the background both at the start and end in Il Cantuccio. www.youtube.com/watch?v=rS34TP-csMETove Lo's whole album is kind of special too.

I really don't know what to say about this episode. I'm currently feeling MEH! Not just about this episode but S3 overall For me , there's something missing. Yeah we had the VinCat proposal and VinCat moving in together, VinCat working together to solve cases , etc, BUT I'm not feeling 'it'. Comparing S3 to S2, the first few eps of S2 had me HEAPS more excited and captivated with the story. There was more angst and there was a sense of danger and worry that VinCat won't be able to make it. We 'knew' who the threat was (Daddy Reynolds). I couldn't stop watching those first few eps. My heart ached for my beloved couple. I understand that they're together now and don't mind that but I want to feel that their love/relationship/connection will be tested again by a malevolent and conniving villain. VinCat were separated this ep and put in danger but the situation was quickly resolved. Too quick for my liking. I don't mind humour but only in minute doses. Don't want to watch BATB- The Comedy but BATB - The Drama! Yes they've worked on the action sequences and the plot does flow well but this is a 13 episode season. I can't believe we still haven't been introduced to the 'Big Bad' yet. We're getting bits of info here and there but not enough to satisfy me. Another gripe I have with the show this season is the JT/T relationship. I love JT and think Tess is written a lot better this season but there's absolutely no chemistry there ( love-wise ). It was so out of character for Tess to come rushing through the door at the precinct screaming at Carol worried about J.T. And the 'I love you's were just.....seriously I don't know what to say. I now understand what Jay meant in one of his interviews when he mentioned that JT and Tess will be like S1 VinCat - that's because their scenes 'together' are getting more screen time than that of VinCat. So JT is able to reach Tess' voicemail to leave her a message, yet Vincent/Catherine are unable to get connection? And don't get me started on what seriously had me fuming this ep! So we see Tess in the precinct talking to Vincent on the phone about JT and later goes to visit him to make sure he's okay but we don't see the part where Vincent and Catherine find out they're both okay after the whole Bob/Carol saga? We get a lame " Oh yeah Vincent called me" from Catherine rather than SEEING their conversation or even better having Vincent rushing through the doors in desperation to see if Catherine is okay and has survived. That is what I'm missing. The romance. I don't need them kissing or making love each and every episode but had they placed such a scene in this episode I would have been a VERY HAPPY BEASTIE! I mean I loved how Vincent screamed that he would kill Bob if anything happened to Catherine but then we get a VinCat ending at the coffee shop ( please don't tell me that place will now replace the rooftop? ). As much as I loved the final VinCat interaction it would have been more special had it happened in private - on the rooftop or fire escape. Please don't misunderstand my frustration as hate - I will always love this show and VinCat will forever be my OTP but I feel like these writers just don't know how to write real VinCat romance - feels. But currently I'm feeling like this right now:

But currently I'm feeling like this right now: Yup I think many of us are feeling like this. I certainly do. I have little desire to rewatch the EPs. This was a fun episode but thats about it. Feels wise meh like u. I had said I would write a review last week but didn't in the ebd. I will try to get some time to write one this time around. It is all just way too easy, fun and the characters lack the rawness and depth they had in previous seasons. U can't kill what made fans fall in love with this show.

I'm with @clena about the place for the very last scene... it would be 100 times better if it would happen on the rooftop but... my opinions for that are: 1) the episode starts with Vincat at the coffee shop with Cat still a little obsessed about Bob&Carol and Vincent go primal (but now ready to listen to Vincent) and Vin trying to do the best for the couple and himself; and the episode ends in the same place now with Cat that is over Bob&Carol and enjoing her free time (booking a concert) and Vincent worried about someone that is trying (again) to kill him but now conscious that he can faces whoever or whatever that is alone. They are now ready to live their individual life and enjoy their moment together.
2) despite the last Vin's phrase was very sweet and full of love, this is not epic, and rooftop is only for epic love
About the episode in general: I need to rewatch it to fully understand all they were saying but I like at first sight more than the last one. Bob&Carol were exactly as Cat&Vin so they are able to predict their behavior and what could be better for them. But there is a difference: Bob&Carol are an alone couple, Cat&Vin have JT&T so they can count on solid friendship (not only on themselves) to overcome problems. I love all the scenes in the wood, Vincent that is trying to use all his military experience to fight Bob without beasting out, but he couldn't help himself to unleashing the beast when Bob nominates Cat and the possibility that she could be dead; same result but with a different point of view when JT arrives and throws himself on the way of Bob's car only to make Vincent beasting out and react with all the fierce of a beast. Vincent is now aware of two things: he can return on his human side without anyone helping him (he has only to follow his heart) and his friends are not afraid of him beasting out anymore (like in S1). Remember? in S1 what keeps him alive is that Cat is not afraid of him even when he is in his beast full mode; after what happen in S2, Cat is afraid of him and probably that doesn't help the couple. with his gesture JT proves to Cat that Vincent has everything in control. I'm happy that JT hasn't got the immortal power, now he is aware that he can't act like a god but already can help Vin & Cat.
At the first moment I was expected Vincent to rush to the precint to see if Cat is ok, but if I understand correctly at the beginning of the episode Vincent tells Cat that they won't phone each other till a certain hour or meet in their workplace and he stays still in his position (in fact how could he explain his position in the case? Vincent would have probably know what happen only from Cat after all was finished if he wasn't involved). I only wonder what happens to Bob's body and I will not expect Carol to kill herself, but collaborate with Cat and Vincent to fight the new organization.
In a way in S1 and S2 VinCat knew who the bad guys are (Murfiled or Bob Rynolds) and where or how they could hide from them. Now they work in blind and so they don't have a safety zone
I wouldn't have been in the place of Cat's new partner... poor guy he dosn't imagine what is in store for him!

I hoped and prayed so much to move forward with this episode with something more complex and a real danger! We stagnate! We learned ANYTHING at all! It's not I don't like the episode because it will not true at all! it's just I am feeling deasapointed a bit more each time because I expected so much more! I feel s3 like a an empty shell so far! I almost had more feeling to see the flashbacks SO PASSIONATE. So If I quote HitowerMusic as 3.05 was awesome I am affraid of 3.06 ... and I no longer trust trailer.
