I will be the oddball here. I'm loving this season so far. Unlike others who don't feel 'VinCat' I do and they have there wow moments. Obviously I respect others opinions but for me...this season so far has had romance...action...drama and comedy.. I think the only thing I have disliked and still do about this is that the baddie isn't yet known and we are 5 episodes in of 13. We should know more about the baddie by now other then they do experiments on innocent people and that assassin's who work for the big bad were after Vincent and wanted to kill Catherine.
I loved the romeo and Juliet type of love Bob and Carol had a and how the outcome of their love decided their fate or here. That was romantic to the extreme ...I have more and review after it airs in the USA on Thursday

As for the phone reception ...obviously VinCat are with sprint the worst carriers and cell phone service LOL...Bob and Carol obviously have the better Verizon which BTW is my carrier and as a customer I will tell you that it's the best LOL.
That explains the cell phone service LOL

This really needs to move along. There was some mention about the "mythological mystery" in this episode, but nothing else. Maybe next week in 3x06 we'll find out more, based on the episode description and casting news? We haven't had any new info since 2x22.

Spoiler This becomes the episode thread. Please do not post things about upcoming episodes in this thread
I think we have to wait till the introduction of Jason Gedrick character to see the bad guy... When it will happen? Ep. 08?

Yup ... Not so sure he will be all that bad though... These writers don't do baddies very well generally. We don't even know if he is the big bad or SB who works for the big bad? Anyway not many EPs to go now

Okay, honestly I don't think they even had a clear plan for the baddie when writing these first few episodes. There are hints & mentions of it, but nothing is clear and everything sounds so general. We are in the dark, the characters are in the dark, and the nonexistent baddie is hiding in the dark.

I mean, BATB writers are not new in TV Series and I can undestand some hole plot but not that they are not able at all in writing baddies. In S2 interviews cast mentioned that the fact that viewers had clear in mind who was the baddy, conditioned the way they react to character behaviour. In S3 nobody knows anything (character and viewer... I hope writers did know) so every new character in the story could be the big bad and I think this will open to a great plot twist (this is my feeling)

The thing is IMO that VinCat couldn't fight the big bad if they are fighting each other: with all those issues unsolved they won't be able to focus on baddies in a rational way. now they have more control on who they are and on each other stand alone capabilities so they could be a team (with JT & T too) that is the only way to win. But we will see

I'm with @clena about the place for the very last scene... it would be 100 times better if it would happen on the rooftop but... my opinions for that are: 1) the episode starts with Vincat at the coffee shop with Cat still a little obsessed about Bob&Carol and Vincent go primal (but now ready to listen to Vincent) and Vin trying to do the best for the couple and himself; and the episode ends in the same place now with Cat that is over Bob&Carol and enjoing her free time (booking a concert) and Vincent worried about someone that is trying (again) to kill him but now conscious that he can faces whoever or whatever that is alone. They are now ready to live their individual life and enjoy their moment together. 2) despite the last Vin's phrase was very sweet and full of love, this is not epic, and rooftop is only for epic love About the episode in general: I need to rewatch it to fully understand all they were saying but I like at first sight more than the last one. Bob&Carol were exactly as Cat&Vin so they are able to predict their behavior and what could be better for them. But there is a difference: Bob&Carol are an alone couple, Cat&Vin have JT&T so they can count on solid friendship (not only on themselves) to overcome problems. I love all the scenes in the wood, Vincent that is trying to use all his military experience to fight Bob without beasting out, but he couldn't help himself to unleashing the beast when Bob nominates Cat and the possibility that she could be dead; same result but with a different point of view when JT arrives and throws himself on the way of Bob's car only to make Vincent beasting out and react with all the fierce of a beast. Vincent is now aware of two things: he can return on his human side without anyone helping him (he has only to follow his heart) and his friends are not afraid of him beasting out anymore (like in S1). Remember? in S1 what keeps him alive is that Cat is not afraid of him even when he is in his beast full mode; after what happen in S2, Cat is afraid of him and probably that doesn't help the couple. with his gesture JT proves to Cat that Vincent has everything in control. I'm happy that JT hasn't got the immortal power, now he is aware that he can't act like a god but already can help Vin & Cat. At the first moment I was expected Vincent to rush to the precint to see if Cat is ok, but if I understand correctly at the beginning of the episode Vincent tells Cat that they won't phone each other till a certain hour or meet in their workplace and he stays still in his position (in fact how could he explain his position in the case? Vincent would have probably know what happen only from Cat after all was finished if he wasn't involved). I only wonder what happens to Bob's body and I will not expect Carol to kill herself, but collaborate with Cat and Vincent to fight the new organization. In a way in S1 and S2 VinCat knew who the bad guys are (Murfiled or Bob Rynolds) and where or how they could hide from them. Now they work in blind and so they don't have a safety zone I wouldn't have been in the place of Cat's new partner... poor guy he dosn't imagine what is in store for him! Actually in Season 2 both Cat and Vincent weren't aware that Bob was the bad guy until after thanksgiving dinner which was closer to mid season finale but the viewer knew. I suspect this time they are going with the approach of keeping both the characters and the viewer in the dark on the identity of the bad guys.

The episode was good with a few flashes of greatness, but it is not the same show that I fell in love with. All I can say is that I am so glad the proposal took place on the roof and not in the coffee shop. Vincent and Catherine are not Ross and Rachel, and I don't want to watch Friends (as much as I loved that comedy).
Setting my expectations bar low now, and may quit watching promos for the next weeks episode. Anyone want to join me in a limbo contest?

Since 3.2 I stopped watching promos... trying to get surprised.... The last episode makes more sense to me after watching episode 3.5. But I don't know if I like the theme "co-dependence" and I'm still waiting for a more strong plot, that brings real drama, mistery and danger... And yes, I want to see VinCat saving each others lives and very worried and desperate for each other! That brings epic moments! Let's see what we'll get in 3.06. Spoiler I am waiting to discover interesting things about Cat's mom and past... hope not to be disappointed...

I still miss the intensive feelings of season 1! Regardless, I've enjoyed this season too and I must say that my heart skipped multiple beats in the last scene of this ep. I've said this multiple times by now but I feel their passion somewhat missing.
It's a regular, stable and normal relationship, not a dream as I would prefer. Vincat\Jaystin chemistry is still amazing and I love their interactions, but the writers could make so much more out of it!
