Reminder about the rules of posting in the early viewer thread. This becomes the episode thread and will not be staying in the Spoiler area. As such spoilers need to not be discussed.
To quote from the first post in this thread:
"Please DO NOT post spoilers about the rest of SEASON 3 or even SEASON 4 here. If you want to discuss SEASON 3 or SEASON 4, please go to the right thread to do it. And remember while in other threads on the forum please do not discuss what happened in this episode, no matter how badly you want to."
~*~
As has been the practice in other threads, those continuing to post spoilers for episodes 3x06 and beyond in this thread will have their posts completely removed from the thread. As such anyone responding to someone who has spoilers in their post, your response will also be removed. So if you don't want your post removed, please remember to not talk about spoilers and if you see someone posting spoilers please report it instead of replying to it.

OK shameless plug but I love the song in the background both at the start and end in Il Cantuccio. www.youtube.com/watch?v=rS34TP-csMETove Lo's whole album is kind of special too. Im in love with Tove Lo - Got Love... those are Vincat songs !!!

I feel good with the season... I like the way that they have a baddie per week and not knowing who is the bad guy
Sorry that Bob and Carol won't be coming back , I really really loved them as baddies!
its odd to see Tess and Cat working like that... they had to find a way to work together!!
Vincent got to save himself having a lot of control... I like that he trusts in his ability to return to human.. thinking in what he loves more in this world ''CAT''
NOTE: The new partner of Cat worked in the film "The Sorcerer's Apprentice"

Well, where to start...the beginning makes sense...but that will involve rewatching the entire Ep. to make sure what I remember is actually what happened...I will shamelessly confess that I have only rematched the final scene....over and over again...making sure I heard every single word that was said, analyzed every look, every gaze, every hand movement (I love their hands, I really do)...well, if I'm truly confessing...every lip movement (when they are talking to each other of course,..and if you believe that, I have a houseboat to sell you..LOL)!!!!! Overall, a very good episode with many great moments...but so much wasted potential again....those writers need a Beastie think tank...Who is giving them expert advice? ? More to come once I watch it again!!!!!

Half the time I feel like I am watching a completely different TV show than people in here lol
I absolutely love season 3 so far. I am one of the few people perhaps who never compared any season to any other simply because all 3 of them are so different and I enjoy all three of them for different reasons. All I read is how everybody misses the "magic" and the "characters" from season 1. I'm glad it is so. It means Vincent and Catherine have evolved. I wouldn't like to seem them acting now like they did in season 1 - It would actually be a slight turn off for me even. I liked season 1 because...it was season 1 but rarely find myself wishing or hoping those moments would return now because they'd seem so out of place now.
Even before season 3 began I was thinking to myself - I hope these writers get it right and won't get stuck in all the angst and drama and will they won't they throwing third party in the mix. With Vincat being a couple the situation has changed entirely. I don't know if the viewers realize how difficult it is to write a drama-free happy TV relationship and keep things entertaining. Ask Shonda Rhimes why she doesn't do happy. Ask the writers of Friday Night Lights, who, in my opinion created the single most interesting drama-free comiited relationship on television, why the rating for this show sucked.
If you ask me, the BATB writers are doing a pretty darn good job and Vincat's relationship is portrayed in a clever and entertaining way. Last night ending scene will probably go down as one of my favorite BATB scene and oh my gawd they weren't even naked. They didn't even need a rooftop. Because it was about THEM. Not the circumstances. It was about their connection that shines through whether they're chasing bad guys or chewing onto cakes. I really do not care for what they wear or if this kiss or that kiss was better or worse than season 1. What a waste of time comparing past to the present.
I thought the fighting sequences were terrific. I rewinded many many times. Oddly, I normally do not care much for JT but I really liked his approach this episode and I truly enjoyed Tess and Cat's scenes too. Speaking of, Cat's lines need a cut. She has too much dialogue and too many lines and poor KK just comes off looking like a robot at times.
The ending scene - words are completely pointless. It's one of the loveliest scenes on television ever. If you don't see the magic there, well...
I trust these writers. I believe they have a story tell. An interesting one. And I am in for the ride.

I don't think the coffee shop will replace the rooftop. It was used as a plot device as Vincent and Cat were starting their day, with a coffee, and were then going to attempt to stay away from each other and only call each other at certain times, due to the orders of the marriage councillor. Theu used the same location at the end of the episode to empasise the shift in position. Cat was now relaxed but Vincent was the one now slightly worried about the immediate future and who was trying to 'get him'.
I really liked the episode and think it has moved the story on. One plot point. Did Vincent retrieve Bob's body and with it, his phone? He was sending texts to someone about Vincent's performance in the 'beast' tests. Was it Carol or someone else???

I think was for the baddie boss...sending info on Vincent. If it were for Carol he would have talked to her like he did the previous 2 times during the episode.

Just finished watching it and i thoroughly enjoyed this episode......one of my favourites so far! For some reason i really felt the love between them....even tough they spent most of the time apart. Thought the last scene was great.....Vincent (JR) can deliver those lines without being corny....truly felt love between them!!!! Now all we need is the passion!!

I am by your side :hug:For me it make no sense to compare the seasons because they are different. Vincat is different, this couple has developed! The two now are so much more a couple like in S 1 There is still a magic between the too but it has changed - and I like it. What I miss is the amount of magic a little more magic would be nice.
Yes this scene were completly about them so touching and you could almost feel their deep love in the way they look and the kiss- thi for me was epic. Amen

Random thoughts... I kind of get what some of my Beastie pals are saying about the season feeling off. I won't go as far as to say that it feels "off" as much as it feels "different," but I can't put my finger on why exactly. Part of it could be Catherine. I think that sometimes she's simply too harsh and so overbearing that she's pushing the envelope to unlikable. Part of it could be the constant mantra that Vincent would be an animal without Catherine's love. I am soooo tired of that and for reasons I've talked about plenty. I realize that Vincent has said that and possibly believes it, but it so underestimates his strength of will and character. (How many times had he gone totally primal before Catherine and managed to snap out of it on his own?) Part of it could be the "super healing" sub-plot that JT was saddled with. I really don't care for it, and I miss snarky JT. Part of it could be the seemingly endless parade of people who don't stay long enough for you to care about them one way or another. Part of it could be that like most of you I miss the romance. Almost every season 1 episode had it, and most of the second half of season 2. I do like what appears to be a bigger budget, better action sequences, the feeling of energy and movement in the city around Team Vincat. I like where they are taking Tess. But the elusive "something different" is bugging me. I did like some things about Most Dangerous Beast. I liked Catherine's new partner. He looked like he was 10. I liked the Cat/Tess tension. I loved it when Tess pulled rank on Cat. I liked seeing Vincent and Catherine operating separately and proving that they are just as formidable apart as they are together. I love the smoothness of the beast morphing sequences. I love full-on PRIMAL beast. Jay really has the mannerisms down and he is sexy. I loved Tess tearing into the interrogation room ready to rip Carol a new one. (She was way scarier than Cat.) The end scene with Vincat was nice, I just wish we had more of that kind of scene with them. Again, I thanked TPTB for sidelining Heather. I want to see more head-knocking between the captain and her detective. That's all for now.

That's exactly what I was trying to say. I liked that scene, too, because behind them you could see people getting coffee and walking around, but Vincat was oblivious. Their world consisted of just the two of them.
