Cordon When a mysterious and deadly epidemic breaks out in Atlanta, a vast urban quarantine is quickly enforced, forcing those stuck on the inside to fight for their lives while local and federal officials desperately search for a cure. Cordon stars David Gyasi (Interstellar); Christina Moses (Starship: Apocalypse), Chris Wood (The Vampire Diaries), Kristen Gutoskie (Beaver Falls), Claudia Black (Farscape); George Young (Casualty), Hanna Mangan Lawrence (Spartacus: War of the Damned) and Trevor St. John (One Life to Live). Julie Plec and David Nutter are the EPs. Totally unrelated, but this is a Belgian format. For some strange reason, it's weird knowing it'll be adapted by the CW....

I know the Cat wardrobe topic is dead dead at the moment....but, looking at the recycled promo picture....what I did like about the original pictures was that there was an edgy feel to the way they were both dressed...and then, when the series started, clearly, that was not where they were going..who knows why.

Cat's wardrobe is a bit of a sore point with me. From the pics I've seen of S3 so far, I think CA is dressing Cat too conservatively. But your point of the original promo pics is something I've always wondered about. The dark edgy look of the promo pics were not to be found in the pilot or really any episode since. It never really did seem to match the show. The closest might have been Cat's look in Ancestors, when she was undercover. Also 310 looks like Cat maybe wearing a similar kind of outfit. The original promo pics always reminded me of Lana in the Smallville season 7 episode "Wrath". Where she gets Clark's powers and then goes on the rampage after Lex.

Maybe they were trying to go with the description of the show that was initially written describing Cat as "tough-minded" and focusing on the "tough" part. CW’s Beauty And The Beast is described as a modern-day romantic love story with a procedural twist.
It centers on Catherine (Kreuk), a tough-minded NYPD homicide detective haunted by witnessing her mother’s murder nine years ago and the killers’ quick demise at the hands of a Beast. After years of searching, Catherine finally finds the Beast, Vincent Koslow, the survivor of a military experiment that went disastrously wrong, and becomes the protector of his secret life as a superhero. When I read the script, I didn't think that was the wording they should use. I thought the script showed Cat was strong and compassionate. And when KK was hired and people were making fun of the fact that KK was going to be playing a "tough" NYPD Detective, even more I wished they would stop using that word to describing the character. Or maybe they were just confused about what the tone of the show was really going to be. IN EW's rundown on the CW pilots back in Feb. 2012, the CW's development head Thom Sherman described the show like this: Beauty and the Beast
: One of two BATB projects, the other is at ABC. The CW version is based on CBS’ Beauty and the Beast series from the 1980s, a romantic love story with a procedural twist. “ABC’s is definitely more in the fantasy fairy tale space. Ours is a more a contemporary grounded version. The beast in this case, he does have some beast-like qualities, but he doesn’t look like a beast 24/7. He ‘beasts out,’ as we say. It’s more about a young woman’s search for love in today’s society.Seems to me, Cat never did any searching for love at all.
