The early Reign renewal was the most puzzling of all the shows announced. There's also some stuff on twitter saying that this doesn't mean this season is the last for HOD either. The 100 fans seem very happy, they were fighting for their show just as hard as we have.

Danielle Turchiano @danielletbd "Not necessarily," Pedowitz says on final season of #HartofDixie. Wants to see ratings, how it plays w/#JaneTheVirgin. #TCA15 happy for the 100 fans, too!

I thought I've read somewhere that it already was announced as final season by the Cw and that their female lead is leaving the show? i didn't read that ?! i read that the decision haven't been made yet , not officially anyway ! although the cast and the crew expected that long time ago , and their female lead is pregnant this year , that is why they have only 10 eps this season , and that really confused me because i also read her pregnancy is used in the storyline ?! ( i used to causally watch the show , it was light and good for wasting free time , but after S2 it got boring because they insisted on trying every possible triangle and even better got back to use old finished triangles again ! not my type even just for wasting time ! anyway maybe the reason HOD aired early winter but BATB didn't is because it would be their last season but they still have plan to keep us as a summer show for many years to come i hope not bad at all 8Dand like all of you i would definitely take that over cancellation which would not be very wise from the network considering the loyal fanbase the show has which won it every award since it started even this year while it isn't on the screen ! how many shows on CW could do this ? ( The Originals ) which won last year as favorite new show didn't even nominate this year and we won over (Arrow ) in our first year as a new show and won over (SN) and(TVD) for two years now ! and all those are the highest rating on the network ! and if that doesn't count and only money talks , so as they said last year BATB is a very profitable show for every one ! even if it isn't very appreciated in USA , it is in the international market , they announced the third book although the second one isn't available yet because the first book did great on sales and got them money as does the dvd and the international sales , the music ---- etc so i am really hopeful now my only reservation is i can't get enough with just 13 episodes a year does every summer show has to be just 13 ? can't it be longer ? 18 or 20 eps maybe ? but in a second thought i would take it any possible way i could !

My thoughts exactly. I don't think summer shows necessarily have to be 13 episodes only. Some have 15 and I think others 18. I think it will depend on how well the show does. If the trial run is successful they may decide to increase the number of episodes for it to run into early fall. And given that the bar has not been set too high I think maintaining a 0.3 may be good and if it performs better than that that will be even better.

And given that the bar has not been set too high I think maintaining a 0.3 may be good and if it performs better than that that will be even better. sometime in summer they air 2 episode in one night , CW and other networks did that before but with canceled series which they pull it from its original schedule when they canceled them , so they aired the remaining episodes in summer when they have free space 2 eps every week to finish it soon , it happened with (Cult) on CW two years ago and in 2014 with 2 sitcoms i think on NBC ? so i guess if they want to have more eps for BATB but doesn't have enough spots for it in the summer months so they may consider airing two ep in one night every week , but i don't think the rating in USA would effect that decision ! the rating wasn't the major element in renewal from S1 (if it was among those elements at all !) and my guess it would have no effect in the decision this year too ! i count on the international market , so i pray that BATB keeps doing well there because who knows maybe if the international sales keep in steady profitable rating they would like to produce more eps per season to get more money ( they sale the serie by episode lol ) the other sales like books , DVD , music ---etc can keep the show running but i guess it can't effect the number of episodes per season , but if the international buyers is willing to pay more money for more episodes ? well that is of course a matter to be highly consider !

It's never over until the fat lady sings, keep the faith beasties!!! insidetv.ew.com/2015/01/11/cw-renews-8/Hart of Dixie is “not necessarily” canceled, he said. “We’re going to look at the ratings. We’ll get an opportunity to see how it plays with Jane the Virgin. If it ends, [this season is] a great series finale; if it doesn’t end, it’s a great season finale. But we’re not committed one way or another.”
Beauty and the Beast will return in late May or early June, Pedowitz said, and the jury is still out on that show, too. Previously, The CW renewed America’s Top Model, which ranks as broadcast’s lowest-rated show, but the executive explained the series does “phenomenally well” via digital distribution channels.

I'm actually happy for Gina and the CW, not being sarcastic. I have nothing against JTV, I'm truly happy that the CW finally has a golden globe (and some respect that goes with it). I just wish the CW would show BATB a little more love. I guess we're like the sibling that gets ignored, while parents shower the new darling baby girl with all the attention. It is what it is, I just want the CW to do right for BATB. Hopefully now that it's a summer show, the timing will work for BATB to be present again at promo events like the CW Upfronts and SDCC. If not, I'll be bummed.

I try to watch it when Venezuela broadcast it as a soap opera sooooo many years ago. and don't like it.... I don't know how the writer are going to work the theme that she is a virgin with a baby. or just because is a soap opera the viewers like it, I don't know but good for her and the show

So the fact that it is shoved at us like it is quality and tje whole politics of it all really byg me

The 100 fans seem very happy, they were fighting for their show just as hard as we have. I'm wondering how much the Netflix deal and the fact that this is the last season the deal covers is factoring into some of these renewal decisions. I just posted this on the Sweet board the CW's billion dollar deal with Netflix was only for 4 seasons, meaning only the shows airing from the 2011-2012 season through the 2014-2015 season are included in that deal. When you consider what that deal means to the network, it could be a big factor in why they basically renewed everything and why Pedowitz still today said that they haven't made decisions on Hart of Dixie or Beauty. As a network, the CW loses money, since its overall low ratings bring in only modest ad revenue. But as Pedowitz explained to reporters Tuesday at the TV Critics Association press tour, C-Dub shows such as Supernatural and The Vampire Diaries are actually very profitable thanks in no small part to a deal with Netflix that yields millions of dollars in extra revenue for the streaming rights to each season of those shows. www.vulture.com/2013/07/netflix-is-...e-cw-alive.htmlUnder the agreement, Netflix has the rights to stream every episode of every show the youth-oriented CW is airing this season plus any shows it debuts before the fall of 2015.
Under the new CW deal, Netflix could pay anywhere from $150,000 to slightly more than $700,000 an episode for series, depending on a show's popularity and how long it has been on the air, among other factors.www.wsj.com/articles/SB100014240529...628983215283342

Does the deal end in 2015 or does it continue for another four years for any show debuting before fall 15? And are all cw shows then on Netflix? And when would the deal end for batb? In fall 15 or after it aired 4 seasons?
