I freely admit that it is like I am pouting so much about not having BATB that it has basically soured any other of the few shows that I watch. I am a fan of "Castle" and "Bones," but I have actually missed several episodes this year. Right now, the superhero genre is really working for the CW, as well as the vampire shows. So the CW has multiple hits plus actual critical praise for Jane. Sigh. BATB can still get some publicity for the CW as a network due to the press that has happened in the last year over the various renewals campaigns, save this show, etc. At this rate, I am now assuming that Stuart was right about the 4/15/15 release date for the Season 2 DVD set in the US. That would mean that the CW is tentatively planning to air BATB on or about April 10 or April 17, if they choose the Friday option. By airing the first episode of Season 3 at or around this time, they can also have a commercial for the DVD set. However, given the CW's total lack of BATB advertising, they may not even plan to do a DVD commercial. However, that is usually the way they do it in the US is to use that first ep to advertise a recent DVD release. So I am going to hope for this, if we don't get a March air date. At least by airing in April, the CW would have preliminary data going into the May upfronts. Me too! I have to catch up with Castle and Bones - watched them on German TV - so I think I have at least one or two seasons to catch up on. Although I have to admit Bones got me a bit bored the last eps I watched. And Castle I like the German voice of Nathan Fillion more in contrast to Jays German voice. So I have to look for the German eps somewhere.

I think it really says something to the success of BATB abroad that the Season 2 DVD international release date is supposedly scheduled for a month earlier than the US release date. That almost NEVER happens, that I know of, for a US-based show. The DVD release dates are usually chosen for a reason, and I just can't see the CW releasing the DVD before the show has come back for its Season 3 premiere.
The only other possibility I see at this time is that the CW truly does decide to hold onto BATB to air entirely in the summer. If it does not start until May, the CW could always release a statement at the Upfronts stating that they have not made a decision yet regarding BATB since it has not aired yet and are waiting to see how it does in the summer. That way, the CW doesn't have to give a decision at the Upfronts, especially since they went so many months without scheduling Season 3. BATB did work for the CW as a summer show last year, so they truly may be planning to do this since scheduling slots seem so hard to come by at this point.

Castle the show is ok but "Castle and Beckett" as a couple are no match for "VinCat" that's for sure. I still have not found any other TV couple hotter than VinCat. Their chemistry on screen is just magical to watch and is why I watch BATB. This long hiatus and waiting for a return date really do suck to say the least!!!

www.spoilertv.com/2015/01/the-cw-primetime-calendar-february-2015.htmlThe CW Primetime Listings for February All the main shows from Monday to Thursday are airing new episodes, no breaks or reruns. Also no schedule changes. Hart of Dixie is airing on every Friday. It looks like Whose Line Is It Anyway is taking over from Masters of Illusions. On the 13th of February they're airing double reruns of Whose Line Is It Anyway. I'm guessing in March they'll replace one of those reruns with new episodes.

In march they have three free slots 2 for the new shows. They may still decide to air batb instead of new EPs of whose line. Not certain yet I guess I mean they did not include batb in their reel but they did not include whose line either...I think we will know very soon

Paleyfest has also started announcing its lineup. So far 2 CW shows are confirmed to go (Arrow and The Flash).

I think our chances for renewal are better than most people realize. We all get down because of the lack of promotion by the CW. So we think the CW doesn't care about this show anymore. But the US market is probably no longer the priority for the network for this show. The March DVD release date for international sales vs. April for the US means the network is now prioritizing the show more for the international market
Certainly a boost in US ratings will help our chances. But continued solid performance in international markets is perhaps even more important. I don't know why so many feel our chances are slim when S3 hasn't even aired yet. That's like saying you've lost when the game hasn't even begun in sports. The CW probably figures whatever the initial ratings are for S3 are likely to remain steady in the US given the core fan base. So all they need to do is air a few episodes prior to May to get that data point. Based on its international potential, perhaps all it needs to do is perform the same or better than S2 in the US to have a reasonable shot at S4. If it can reclaim anything close to its S1 form, our chances for renewal should be really good.
Just my 2 cents...

Like your thoughts about the importance of the international market.

www.spoilertv.com/2015/01/the-cw-winter-2015-press-tour-schedule.htmlThe CWs TCA schedule Looks like 'Cedrics Barber Battle' is going to get a slot in spring (Friday?), I don't think they'd bring it up at the TCA's otherwise. No panel or mention of BATB on the schedule so I wonder if anyone will ask about it (probably during the Executive Session Q&A). No BATB guests are listed as attending either. John Barrowman tweeted that he just gotten on the plane a little while ago (along with Grant and some others) so it looks like they're starting to head there now.

What's the TCAs, and who is John Barrowman? Sorry for the question, just trying to catch up. The TCA's (Television Critics Association) are where each networks talk up the new shows, talks about what is currently in development, releases new promo's for upcoming shows and announces any scheduling changes/upcoming air dates. Sometimes early renewals are also announced at the TCA's. Actors for the shows also generally attend to answer questions and help promote. The CW's day is the 11th. So pretty much we can expect the CW to talk up the shows they'll be airing from January to May along with promoting them and trying to get the critics interested. We'll most likely get air dates for iZombie, The Messengers and Cedrics Barber Battle too. John Barrowman is one of the main stars of Arrow, he tweeted that he was on the plane so the actors who will be attending seem to be on their way. The press release on SpoilerTV doesn't mention anyone from BATB is attending but if we hear about any of them traveling in the next few hours then they might make a surprise appearance.
