the whole premise of the first season was that they had no control - the reason they had to be destroyed - because they only get worse - to paraphrase Catherine during the alex arc - I'm mystified Gabe was considered a 1st generation beast. He was stronger and more uncontrollable. He took meds so that he could live normally. Cats mom was the 1st to give them to him. Then he had to create his own when they stopped working but eventually they were making him sick and he needed body parts or blood etc from Vincent so he could recreate himself. When Vincent took Gabe's medication it almost cured him and would have until Cat gave him a vaccine so he could defend himself from big bad Gabe. However, thorough season 1 Vincent was learning to control himself better at the help of Cat but also probably because he had to. Gabe was sleeping around with that girl but he was on meds while Vincent was able to achieve that without meds. LOL He had been hiding so long and never had to IMO, so it was something that he had to learn 1st hand. Tori is another or different story all together because she was born this way (different DNA makeup I guess) and I don't think we know yet her deal nor does she or anybody for that matter. It just started to appear. I think thats on purpose and will come to a head at some point because she probably should not be out and about in public being unpredictable et...which is why I think Cat, Tess, and Gabe are trying to convince the FBI lady in that clip not to bring her in for questioning. Lets face it we have only seen her glow, tip stuff over and runaway. So Im guessing we will see something more sooner when she is jealous etc.... After Vincent was captured he was altered and has even more physical control which is why his decision to go after Daddy Reynolds was suppose to be a big deal but supercharged Vincent couldn't sympathize or see past his hatred and anger which is again something he will probably learn soon the hard way. II actually didnt see to many holes in that story line last season because they beast that control issue like a dead horse. At the hotel pool, after he had taken one of Gabe's pills, he said something like it's great to be out, not having to be worried about being triggered - it's why the watched dvd's and ate red vines instead of going to the movies - didn't know what would trigger his beast |

From what I've gathered a situation will arise in which Vincent will redeem himself in Catherine's eyes with the 'person' this separation and deciding outcome started.He will do something to try to help Reynolds Oh! This is sort of what happened in my story, Hold Fast to Dreams. Vincent DIDN'T kill Reynolds but helped capture him again after he escaped. Lol. I guess it's not really the same scenario but it made me laugh. I love Ted Whithall and the character of Reynolds, btw.  |

No I think the guy is telling the truth! He believes in it!  I guess why not? By ep 216 I suppose vinCat will be definitely closer than at the moment, no Tori either... It should be good! |

It is BATB Eve in the States with our Canadian Beasties and lucky other Beasties getting to open their presents on the Eve, and US Beasties waiting until BATB Day (tomorrow). I am holding my breath and hanging on for dear life that a light, even if dim, appears.....a glimmer of something good between VinCat. I still wish we could watch together on the same night, because by the time I see the show, there are usually about 50+ pages of comments....
