1. I started this show after watching the promos of season 1 on tv, I am a big fan of romance and I thought this show looks very romantic. Also Kristen was one of the reason. I had saw her movie earlier. 2.My fav. romantic moment was when in 101 Vincent looks at Cat through the roof in the end of the episode that's the moment I feel in love with the show. 3. My favourite funny moment was JT and Vincent talk about Gabe in 121. "Gabe got her pragant" funniest line ever. 4. Favourite episode is 213. I know many will be shocked but that was the episode Vincent accept that he loves her.

JOYABEAST:
You are NOT the only one that liked 213 (well, except for that ending kiss that I will feel the need to REPRESS until my dying day).
The MULTIPLE reasons I loved 213:
1) Could KK LOOK any more gorgeous then when she enters the Wedding Chapel alongside Vincent? And prior to that, we just really DIDN'T get to see Jay in his finery either, so the two really WERE as beautiful as Brad and Angie like JT said as far as I was concerned! (I actually thought "dang, couldn't someone just PUSH or NUDGE them towards that alter? SERIOUSLY, neither one of them would have any regrets at saying vows at this point, they just don't REALIZE it yet!")
2) I actually LIKED how Gabe was portrayed in this episode. The idea that he might ACTUALLY REALLY change as a result of knowing VINCAT was highly appealing to me. I love the true redemption-style story, and THAT CONCEPT made BATB such an appealing show to me.
And Gabe SEEMED to want all the right things in a relationship with Catherine at THIS point. He is willing to risk his LIFE for her. He WANTS justice and NOT just to make himself look good. He forgives Catherine for snooping behind his back, especially in appealing to Vincent to help her. Gabe seems to even seamlessly fit into the group at this point. AND he shows his TRUST in Vincent to save him and to help save Catherine.
(And RIGHT up until Gabe kisses Catherine, I still found potential redeeming qualities. But from the kiss forward, I just wanted him dead PAINFULLY.)
3) Gabe actually APOLOGIZES to Vincent for his previous behavior. Both men put their past histories aside BECAUSE they both APPEAR to love Catherine and are willing to sacrifice FOR HER SAKE.
4) Vincent's REDEMPTION #2 in FULL FORCE at this point. The REDEMPTION THEME in BATB was what originally attracted me to Vincent in the reboot. (I mean, you have Vincent in the Pilot trying so hard to save people and make up for what he happened in Afghanistan AND make his life have meaning despite Muirfield. Drew me right in from the Pilot forward.)
5) Vincent will do ANYTHING to show Catherine that he TRUSTS her AND her judgment. He WILL be a "friend" to her NO MATTER HOW PAINFUL it can be for him. He ENCOURAGES Cat to trust Gabe and enter into a relationship with him DESPITE acknowledging to JT that he LOVES Catherine and desperately wants her back. He feels GUILT for what he put her through in Season 2 and wants her HAPPY with someone that deserves her (which he thinks is NOT him at this point, due to everything that has happened).
Vincent FOLLOWS Catherine's plans without hesitation to show his FAITH in her. I LOVED THIS CONCEPT in the episode. He KNOWS she has a good heart, and HER happiness is his Cornerstone and direction at this point.
6) VINCENT is the person that Catherine turns to in order to plan anything, from the "protection" of the group for Sam and Dana at the vow renewal, to investigating Gabe, to questioning Sam, to working the case, to even ADVISING her about her date life! Vincent IS Catherine's "go-to" person AND the ONLY ONE she trusts for EVERYTHING! (She just FAILS to realize and make those connections in this episode DUE to her vulnerability and true belief that Vincent had "moved on" from her.
So 213 had its lovely VinCat moments, SAME as 214's "Redemption," despite the negative Gabe aspects of BOTH episodes. BUT doesn't undercut the true VINCAT LOVE that came through in BOTH episodes DESPITE the individual's resistance to getting back together due to their own still-lingering issues.

And BEASTIEBOY:
Wow. It just hit me that you actually started viewing BATB in Season TWO without having seen Season 1!!
When did you finally view Season 1? Did that CHANGE how you saw S2???
So when were you drawn to VINCAT as a couple if you started watching in S2?
And I had FORGOTTEN about Cat's other "pee" comments! TeeHeeHEE!
There ought to also be a Category for Best Screw-You Comment on BATB, since ALL of our characters said that to one another or to another baddie at some point or other! I would LOVE to have a FINAL TALLY on the amount of times said line was uttered on BATB!

There ought to also be a Category for Best Screw-You Comment on BATB, since ALL of our characters said that to one another or to another baddie at some point or other! I would LOVE to have a FINAL TALLY on the amount of times said line was uttered on BATB! Yeah, I watched almost all of S2 live as it aired on the CW back in 2013/14 without having watched S1 first. It's funny, I didn't feel the need to immediately learn what happened before in S1, because Vincent was in the same predicament having lost his memory. So I kind of lived through S2 from his perspective, learning about the past as the season evolved but not really knowing everything. I knew VinCat had some kind of epic romance in S1 and was rooting for VinCat the moment I saw them. But I wasn't really seeing or feeling the "epic love" in the early eps of S2 because of V's memory loss. I recall feeling very frustrated because I wanted them to be together. I enjoyed the show enough and was pleased when BATB & KK won the PCAs that year. That got me voting on other polls. Like the E!Online "Save One Show" poll, hoping it wouldn't be cancelled. But I wasn't really super passionate about the show until VinCat were finally reunited in 215-216. Ugh, then that Spring hiatus. But the wait was worth it, because I was WOWed by 217 "Beast is the New Black". That was the episode that transformed me into a true diehard beastie! It was about that time that I finally decided to watch S1. From the instant I watched the Pilot, I knew I liked S1 better. It had all the "feels" of 217. I quickly watched the first 4 episodes but then stopped. I was enjoying the final arc of S2 so much that I decided to save the rest of S1 for the hiatus between S2 and S3. At that time, I thought S3 would air in the Fall or mid-season, who knew it wouldn't be until the following summer! Watching S1 after S2 didn't really change my view of S2. But in hindsight, the emotional impact of certain things, like Cat having to shoot V, wasn't as powerful as it would've been had I seen S1 first. So I actually enjoyed and appreciated S2 better upon my second viewing after having watched S1 in its entirety. Also, maybe because I didn't see S1 first, I never developed any animosity towards S2 or Brad Kern as some others have.

I never hated Gabe arc because I really like Sendil and I really felt sorry for him. I always felt that if Gabe was a good peson and wasn't invloved with Cat romantically than they could have been best friends because of her mom shared experience. I also thought Cat and Gabe had more chemistry in s1 than s2.

To me, they were just annoyances, because we all knew VinCat were destined.

Who did think she was stealing someone else boyfriend and than demand loyality. Such a spoil brat, she was just like her father.

Okay so after thinking about it awhile I think my favorite seasons in order from favorite to least favorite is 1,2,4,3.
My favorite episode I would have to say is 216. (115/116) are probably in my top 5.
I love 216 so much for so many reasons. It totally gives me all the right VinCat feels even more so then 217. There is just so much I love about the episode. I love the opening sequence and how you are first made to believe that it's V's dream, but in turn is really Cats dream. And just the way V has his arm around her and the fact he's sound asleep with his arm wrapped around Cat, almost subconsciously can't let her go and realizes that there may be things that are unresolved and that she might leave (and the parallel at the end when he wakes up on his back) I also loved the bff talks between V&JT and Cat&Tess and how they are basically having the same exact conversation. And just the way and his facial expression of V when he tells JT "it was great"
I especially loved V's confidence this episode especially once he realizes that Cat still loves him. Once she unintentionally more or less confirms that for him, V is just not backing down now and he's going after her. (Just that in general gave me so many feels) it's so obvious this episode how much V loves her and wants her. The sexual tension was amazing, Jaystin played it great. It was intense (almost as intense as the sexual tension in 209)
And I finally loved the rooftop scene. The way he said "i love you Catherine" His voice....again the feels. And the fact there is no pause in Cat returning the I love you back.
And the pillow talk in the morning and mini make out was perfect. (If VinCat or especially Cat are going to talk in bed, that's the kinda of conversation I don't mint especially with the way they were looking at each other.
And I think if this makes any sense....the chemistry was better in season 1, but the sexual tension/vibe was better in S2 vs S1

My favourite seasons in order are 1,3,2 and 4. Every season had a purpose. S1 was about love, s2 about heart break and second chances, s3 was the best season plot wise. It is the only season that was well thought and was connented to the main plot every episode. All the other seasons like 1 and 2 lost their path and was not fully developed . But s4 is the worst of all. I am not happy with it at all. At this point s4 feels such a waste. If the purpose of the season was to mess up everything that was perfectly all right than they sure as hell got that. I don't understand why they even made a season 4 if they did't have any ideas. S3's ending was so perfect but s4 came and messed it.

BATB was that one show about which I said a lot of negative things but I just loved to watch it. Missing the show badly.

I go back and forth in deciding if S1 or S2 was my favorite. Vincent was sweet in S1 but I welcomed his change in S2. He was so sexy, unpredictable and intense. I thought the Alex arc was OK but too long. It also could have been better written (or edited?) to make Vincent's feelings and choices more clear. He was so confusing. Regardless, it was painful to watch Catherine go through all that. With Tori, sometimes I despised her, other times I felt sorry for her. Neither of these women bothered me too much because I knew Vincat was the end game. However, the first time I watched Don't Die On Me, I felt devastated when Cat walked out on Vincent and into a new beginning.

I go back and forth truly too if I liked S1 or S2 better. Like you said V was sexy unpredictable, intense as well as confident knowing exactly what he wanted and going for it. As much as I understood why V was so self loathing in S1 it was a one point for me getting annoying when he was constantly playing pity party poor me even if it was done to show how much self loathing he had. Alex arc didn't bother me. Alex was made out to look extremely dumb and annoying. I understood why they went there, both him and Alex needed that closer. I knew him and Alex were never end game. However like you said they could've done a better job portraying that on screen. And Tori arc was just a complete mess, on how it was written and portrayed. She was a <edited>. But it never bothered me because the sexual tension between VinCat alone in those Tori episodes was enough to prove that Tori had nothing on VinCat

Since tonight is the final episode *snif<edited> , I thought I'd create a thread just where you can put thoughts on BATB overall. You can choose to do the Q and A format or your own way. Happy with the ending? If you could write an alternate ending/s eason 5 what would it be?After watching the finale, what you predict the writers wouldve done batb season 5? If we keep everything the same, including the ending from season 4, my season 5 would start with: Interior of a hospital waiting room with Tess, JT and Heather sitting in worried, exhausted silence as a doctor approaches them and says, "I'm sorry, but we were only able to save one of them." Then cut to one year earlier, the evening of the season 4 finale with Heather, JT and Tess outside of their hotel. Heather announces that she's going to return to her room to call Kyle but insists that JT take Tess for an evening stroll. Although she doesn't say it out loud, she knows JT is planning to propose to Tess and is non-verbally encouraging him to do it that evening. JT is trying to take a romantic stroll while Tess is commenting on the ridiculousness of being in Paris but still having to take credit for a VinCat bust. JT finally gets up the courage to propose when something in the distance catches Tess' eye and she says, "Oh crap." Int. of VinCat's Parisian apartment. Cat is thanking V for his anniversary present and is confessing that hers isn't as special but that she hopes it helps bring his loved ones closer too, and she presents him with a beautiful photo album containing pictures of his parents and brothers, him and JT and the scooby gang but it's only half filled and stops with a shot of their honeymoon. V. suggests they start filling it up by taking some selfies, but Cat suggests maybe they could fill it up with baby pictures. V's like, 'What you're not pregnant are you." Cat would say, "not yet, but maybe we could start trying." V would bring up the problem with his corrupted DNA and Cat would tell him," There is nothing wrong with your DNA." Then V would come around to saying he's all for the trying to make a baby part and as they start to kiss and things are heating up, in true BATB fashion, there's a knock on the door and a female voice says, "Catherine, Vincent. It's Agent Dylan from Homeland Security. Open the door" End of teaser.

Maybe not. pippin's preferred/speculative s4 ending was to have Cat die. So I wouldn't be surprised if her version of s5 started by having Cat die during delivery.
