Nope, not looking forward to Bridget's (the ex) appearance. I mean 4 episodes is way too much. We don't know if we'll be getting a second season. I want the time we do have on VinCat. We are adding too many characters as it is. I agree, 4 episodes is a lot to give to a character that can truly threaten the main relationship. What if they write Alex in a sympathetic light.........she didn't want him to go in the Military, she still loved him while he was gone, she didn't break off the engagement but he did or didn't......or worse, maybe they never broke their engagement and she just thinks he was dead or MIA? If they write her in a way that makes the audience sympathize with her, the writers will create a potential for a fanbase for this couple before they firmly establish Vincent and Catherine the "Main Couple". You have to build up a shipper fanbase, give them "something" ie......declarations of love, kissing, signs of a "love" relationships so that if someone else comes along, the fans aren't left feeling so threatened that they are always in a state of distress........will they or won't they? That is good for a short time to create drama.....but if VinCat aren't well established then the relationship will have too much of an uphill battle and frankly, people WANT TO SEE CONTACT between the two main characters. Keeping VinCat apart for 2, 3, 4, episodes is WAY, WAY too much! Frankly, if they do that, I will become disinterested........been there done that, .........I won't wait 2 or 3 years for the main couple to get together. An Ex-fiance is a legitimate threat........whether she broke up with him or he broke up with her or worse, they never resolved anything.............FEELINGS can still be lingering and that would create DOUBT in the investment of Vincent and Catherine! I like that she is a Doctor,............maybe she is used as a future resource if Vincent gets shot or wounded and she has to treat him in secrecy. I could see that, but if she is still in the picture she is a threat, IMO. Whether Vincent and Alex declare their love for someone else or move on from each other.....her presence, again IMO, is a threat to VinCat. The more they share screen time and VinCat DO NOT, then it creates a DIVIDER in the fandom. Also, if they make Alex someone who looms in the background that can come back any time is not cool. I don't want the idea in the back of my mind that Vincent can run TO HER!! As mentioned before, having less than 5 minutes of screen time per episode between the main characters is bad for the show. I will lose patience. In the next few episodes they have to give the fans a "no turning back" moment for VinCat. They declare their feelings or express it to each other. Just because the Title is "Beauty and the Beast" doesn't give the writers/producers the assumption that the fans are completely SOLD!! There is romance and courting, but there is a time to take the LEAP!! To get that second season, you can't go there thinking that the main couple are wishy-washy or so breakable that any new character threatens them. That is why, giving Alex "4" episodes is a big investment and when she is gone (if she does leave permanently) she needs to STAY GONE!! I don't know Ms. Ryan......everyone seems to like her as an actress...and she seems a good believable fit for Jay....so I think it will be good for the show. We will see how it plays out.....if she leaves and people are SOLD with her character, they will want her back and that is not good! But I don't want her to die, then she gets mourned ......more emotion given between Vincent and Alex......the bond between them needs to be broken, convincingly. *Crap, .....now I just stressed myself out about this now*  SuzieQ...I swear we share the same mind sometimes..but WELL SAID, those are my thoughts exactly!!!!  |

i honestly think that introducing a new character in vincent's past is partly important in vin cat relationship, this does not simply aim to interfere in their relationship but it gives some sort of a challenge, in which both character will be tested in terms of emotional acceptance and the reality that vincent was once a total human, and as viewer i think its essential to know how was he, as a normal being back then. the choices he made, "character dilemma". anyways, the end result won't be disappointing for sure, we all know vin/cat love each other, but they are making it more interesting and worth it to watch because of these obstacles that comes between them. Totally hooked on this show.  I have talk about this, in my circle of friends and they think I'm weird. i guess they haven't found their own rhythm to watch. |

i honestly think that introducing a new character in vincent's past is partly important in vin cat relationship, this does not simply aim to interfere in their relationship but it gives some sort of a challenge, in which both character will be tested in terms of emotional acceptance and the reality that vincent was once a total human, and as viewer i think its essential to know how was he, as a normal being back then. the choices he made, "character dilemma". anyways, the end result won't be disappointing for sure, we all know vin/cat love each other, but they are making it more interesting and worth it to watch because of these obstacles that comes between them.   I am very worried where the show is going. that picture with Vincent and Alex scares me. He looked like he still loved her. hope that was a flashback but i do not think so. i have read he will turn more and more of a beast in the future. that could scare Alex away. it also does not make sense that all these years he kept tabs on Catherine and Never looked for Alex. so it does not make sense to me. I am way too obsessed with this show. Right now most of fanfiction i have been reading seems to have better things going on. I realize they have to go thru things to prove their love. but come on. if Alex and Vincent kiss instead of Vincent and Cat i will be very Angry. I will turn into a BEAST. they should have kissed after the dance. And why do they call this and the next episode a FANTASY??? IT DID HAPPEN RIGHT?? ANY THOUGHTS???

To me it'll mean more because it's like him saying "I have a chance to be the person I wanted to marry but it turns out I love you than I ever did her" RELAX everyone this'll will bring them closer just like Catherine kiss with Evan. It showed she had another choice an easier choice but she choose Vincent

I'll start off by saying that I have been obsessed with this show for the past 3ish months and that I am an addict, and love it. However, this storyline actually really pisses me off. I hope that the writers are just wanting to generate interest and excitement, and that that is a goodbye kiss (but it looks a bit too sweet to be GB). But showing us all that picture in the sweet embrace at this point in the Vincat story was probably a bit of a miscalculation on their part. Twitter exploded with ANGER at the pic. Other than their dance, Vincent has basically not even TOUCHED Cat, and they show us that embrace? I'm not interested in seeing Vincent Kanoodling with his ex, or watching the "man torn between loving two women" storyline. And why not? Because that is a BETRAYAL to Cat, plain and simple. And Cat is a strong, but F'd up woman, who wouldn't play the victim by waiting around for her guy to make up his mind - a strong woman has no tolerance for that BS and would stick up her middle finger at him and say "see ya".
So everyone can say "chill", its BATB, and Vincat will prevail - yes, of course they will - they'll eventually kiss, and it will be an "oh, finally" moment, but if Vinnie starts sniffing after Alex's skirts, the magic and romance that this show has generated will evaporate into Soap Opera trash, and the fans might just lose interest. That would be a death sentence for a fledgling show like this. So hopefully we're all overreacting, b/c if Vincent starts being all "oh, I still love Alex..." poof! He turns into a frog.

I'm sure this situation will also bring some clarity and solidify their relationship as well. I just don't think there is any comparison with the Catherine/Evan kiss. That was a drunken kiss that really wasn't all all that romantic. I saw no emotions between Evan/Cat like I do with that Vincent/Ex pic. Besides, at that point Catherine/Vincent's relationship isn't at the level as it is NOW. Yes, they still need to acknowledge and convey their true feelings to each other...but I also felt that the wedding episode was a huge turning point in them doing just that. And now...after all those moments they shared in that episode and Catherine saying in 1.10 "She accepts everything that he is"....they go 10 steps backwards!!! That is what is frustrating. This is going to be painful, but I hope you are right and the PAYOFF is worth it and we get a mind-blowing kiss and VinCat fully acknowledging and solidifying that they are indeed in LOVE with each other and are indeed a real couple. How they get there after all this drama/angst with the EX...I hope the writers know what they are doing!!!!! |

we'll just have to wait and see what happens when the show comes back. I'm trying not to read too much into that pic because other pics in the past 1x05 have been misleading. I really hope this pic doesn't make people stop watching and they lose ratings and no season 2  Maybe after seeing how strongly fans reacted to the pic they will give a us a good Vincat pic or even I don't know a freaky SYNPOSIS of the episode that will show in 22 days. Geez at least give us that and maybe the next episode as well since we are waiting extra long and its painful to wait so long |

Well I am playing "Someday We'll Be Together" by the Supremes now.
It's gone be a while for Vincent and Catherine I guess.
It will be interesting to see what the writers want us to fume about.
All I know is that I will go thru the episode like I do the case of the week scenes. Zoom right by them. No, not interested.

I couldn't really vote since IMO, it will be none of those. I don't believe he will get back with her....but I also don't believe he will tell her he's in love with Cat. I think anyone with eyes will be able to SEE that he's in love with Cat the minute they watch them interact. I think she will realize on her own that he's moved on and it's time for her to do the same.

Oh please, let's freakin' hope so!! My guess is that she'll be put in some sort of danger which will morally require him to hang around for those 4 episodes (this way, he doesn't look like a dick (that seems to be the word that everyone is applying to him if he suddenly goes "oh I still love Alex" so I'll stick with it) - but this will cause trouble for him and Cat. In the end hopefully she bows out gracefully, or as per other soap operish storylines, gets a "transfer" to another city and has to leave (and of course asks Vincent to come with her) but then he has to come clean and admit that he loves Cat. That would be oh so sweet  . |
