A few more random comments after i managed to watch the episode again: Cat is really like a bloodhound which I guess is consistent with the way her character is written. I know I complained earlier about frantic Cat running around and pushing Vincent along because she was convinced about their greater destiny, but when she becomes afraid for everyone's lives and decides that she has had enough, she really does it wholeheartedly again. The good thing that came out of this is that Tess is off the hook with Chief Ward. I did wonder last week after Tess was dressed down in public by him in the precinct how the writers would sort it out but every argument that Cat used to explain the situation to Chief Ward sounded plausible, if you didn't know about the whole underlying beast/superhuman angle. So yay, now Tess is able to be there for JT when he starts worrying about his cured/not cured state. So it's good that Heather is now totally on board, even with the "destiny train" since she now knows everything. I felt that Cat really valued her opinion and once Heather was also convinced of the greater destiny, it helped Cat to change her mind and get on board again. Ending scene on the rooftop was sweet. I could feel the deep love between them and the understanding and support. It's not the wild burning passion of S1 but they have matured as a couple and in their relationship. Vincent despite believing in their destiny was willing to step back if Cat was still not willing to continue the fight, because he valued what they had together as more important. Good thing she was back on board. And can I add that I'm glad there were no wine glasses and bottles in sight when they were talking? I'm kind of sick of seeing those props in most of their moments together this season. Their hands should be around each other, writers! Doing more important stuff!

Well, well, well. It Was a solid episode. That's it. And I am still waiting for the passionate moment between Vincat.... I Was kind of disappointed with the rooftop scene, I was waiting for something more strong and intense. And I have to be honest, I don't like to see Cat and Vincent not in the same page... it hurts! Let's see where this whole "destiny"thing will take. One thing I'm sure, I can't wait to see what's going to happen next!!!!

Thought Vincent getting mad at Heather was weird considering he was saying essentially the same to Cat at the beginning of the season. Would have made more sense for him to say to Heather that he understood her point of view and that up until recently he felt the same way but innocent people yada yada yada -- we could all write the dialogue.
Question -- Why can't they just tell Ward and DHS about the superhuman experiments?
Cat already told Ward about Gabe's experimenting on cross-species DNA at the end of Deja Vu so why not just tell them what Julianna was doing and that Liam is one of her experiments? Would Vincent be in some danger of exposure or is it just plot convenience?
CAT: You'll be able to match Gabe's DNA to the murder scene but what Professor Forbes put in here shows what Gabe did to himself to become...
WARD: Crazy.
CAT:He injected himself with experimental DNA over the years, documented in his own handwriting, including serums with cross-species DNA.
WARD: Cross-species? What do you mean, like, animals?
CAT: He wouldn't be the first person to try to become superhuman, right?
WARD: Well, it certainly explains why the guy went bananas, but still it's pretty wild.

For once, in a long time, Catherine didn't strike me as someone standing on the edge of wild-eyed craziness. Her argument for quitting was sound and reasonable, even if she was now doubting herself and her destiny with Vincent. I liked the opening scene with Vincat going over the incidents of the previous night. Cat's hand on Vincent's shoulder was a nice touch. Although the logic of charging ahead against something you don't know about vs something you know about is a little sketchy, I will give it pass because hearing Cat say the magic words..."I was wrong..." was music to my ears. Just about everything in this episode worked for me, so here's the rest of my list: All of Tess and Ward's scenes. All of Tess and Cat's scenes. All of Tess, Cat and Ward's scenes. The big old gaping hole in Julianna's neck. Tess confronting Cat when she finds out that Cat brought Vincent in for "questioning." Tess and Vincent's pow-wow. I'm glad that Catherine asked Heather what she was doing in their apartment...again. The intervention scene was priceless, especially when Cat finds lover and friends in her car. Loved, loved, loved Vincent unapologetically getting in Heather's face. Loved Nicole's acting in the above scene. True, she does what she always does, jumps into something without understanding the situation AT ALL, but she was so hurt by Vincent's butt chewing. That little sad puppy face got me. Loving that Tess is ON BOARD for real. Heather, JT and Bob. Great scene. I'm liking the sparse use of Bob, gives his appearances greater impact. Good seeing Alton Finn again. Nice touch bringing a former victim back. The attack on JT and Heather by Liam's henchmen. Heather is getting good at no longer screaming or standing around in shocked disbelief in the middle of life threatening danger. Vincent crashing through windows NEVER gets old. The cavalry (Tess and Cat) saving Vincent's life. I really hope the JT/Tess romance is dead because they are so much better as friends. Vincat's balcony scene. Awwww. Okay, that's all I've got.

For me to I think that JT and Tess work better as friends. With the opening scene and Vincent at the window looking so sad I was like all he wants is a normal life, he looked so deflated. I do get where Cat's coming from and understand why she felt the way she did. Loved how Heathr stuck up for her sister just like the many times that JT has defended Vincent that was sweet but serioulsy she needs to stop just letting herself into their apartment sister or not she needs to hand over her key. Loved Cat's comment to Vincent in the hospital ' Don't make me arrest you honey' and when she walks in and he's sitting whistling away and tapping his leg and turns mid whistle to see Cat standing there. Did like how JT took Heather under his wing after Vincent had words with her and filled her in I do like seeing Heather being in the know but still love the orginal fab four and it should stay like that like in the car that was just classic. It was nice to see Tess and Cat standing next to each other guns drawn that so reminded me of them from season 1. The very end scene for me as much as it was sweet there is still something missing, and when the hell did they have Sex on that rooftop Love seeing Bob and him giving out little tit bits now and again.

I also like that Vincent and Tess are getting along better I like that friendship and Tess admitting to him that when he and cat are out of sync bad things happen. Liked to that we had no mention if JT and T getting back together and for me their scenes worked better.

Absolutely loved this episode! Felt it was long overdue for Daddy Agent Reynold to be included for what he knows! The fact that Tess, JT and Heather are all in-tuned to the destiny blazed by Alistair and Rebecca is great and getting back to the gem/destiny foundation is what will make this saga golden in my book!
Once again, I stake that Liam is the descendent of the original beast that taunted Alistair! Let's kick his butt and finish what Rebecca and Alistair were unable to complete! Let make sure that their deaths were not in vain! Now the everyone is appropriately in line with what must be pursued and dominated let's seize the mission as a united front! Vincent, Catherine, JT, Tess, Heather and Bob Reynolds! Alistair and Rebecca had no one to support them and they failed so now we know that there is strength in numbers, love, support and devotion!
I personally like Captain Ward but will he be able to handle the truth, I think he would be up to the challenge but would he be willing to take the truth!
I am falling for the entire team all over again! Writers and Directors please do not drop the ball, we are entering the finale of the game!

That could be interesting, although last season they were equating Gabe with the bad beast of yore. And I'm still wondering why they can't tell people that Liam is supercharged. How would that risk exposing Vincent?

1) Fantastic episode! Well done and riveting! 2) Made love on the rooftop!!!! ? Say What? Where the heck is that scene? And why haven't I seen it? 3) The VinCat "passion" was still MIA in this ep for me. The drought in S3 continues. 4) Heather was again just great in this episode! But the poor girl is always getting yelled at. First Cat's outburst at her during Chasing Ghosts, now Vincent let's her have it. Heather hanging out with JT was a new dynamic. Loved that too. 5) Cat is kinda driving me nuts. She's always driven, but going from one extreme to another. Hope her character levels out again from the next episode on. But I loved the scene when she jumps in her car and the whole gang is there like an intervention. 6) The mythology is back and I really liked the use of it in this episode All in all a big thumbs up from me.

I think they mean the first scene of season 3. It was nearly not shown enough, but there was something there. Otherwise I fully agree with all your points.
