Loved this! Agree! Especially loved your views on the whole Alex thing. And I wouldve liked it if the gave us another episode or two of Vincent trying to win Cat back, but like you said love isnt something thats necessarily earned. I agree too but I think season 1 was a bit rushed as well they for wtv reason they went through storylines very fast and didnt go through it at the pace most shows....

Yes season 2 was very Vincent centric and I think by maybe making V a doctor again Cat can have a separate storyline from Vincent as well. you know many say that S2 was very Vincent centric as its a a proven fact every single viewer sees and agrees to it while i for example and i know i am not the only one don't see it ?! you even make me doubt myself so i rewatch the whole season over and over maybe i could see when exactly it was a Vincent centric but i still can't see it ! how can i see it while we have some eps JT didn't appear on them and Tess just appeared a few seconds in some eps while Gabe was in every single episode and even had more screen time than V or Cat in some eps ?!!! how it was Vincent centric when they spent more time on Gabe's redemption then the time they spent on Vincent's redemption ?! how when Gabe was the arc and the center and the cause of the events till the last few minuets of the last episode ?! so no matter how bad i try to see your point i fail ! because as i see it only season one was really about Beauty and the Beast ! where the centric was only about the two of them but the centric on season 2 saw about Gabe ! they turned the Beauty and the Beast show to Gabe's show ! and that is one of the reason i hated his character for in S2 although i enjoy his character in S1 ? because in S1 he had his fair time and concern on the show , he had a convinced storyline , it was Beauty and the Beast show not his show ! but in S2 he particularly stole the show and turned it to something didn't relate to the main storyline of the show ?! and you said you want a separate storyline for Cat from Vincent ? ok may i ask when exactly did Vincent had a separate storyline from Cat ? everything happened to him was related to Cat and connected him to her ! she was the cause for every thing happened to him ! she was always the question and the answer ! Reynolds did what he did to him because of Cat ! so did Gabe ! he gave up completely to his dark side when he lost her , and he started to get better when she accepted him in her life again , he wanted to redeem himself because /for Cat -----etc the only time he had a separate thing from Cat was when he had that meaningless relation with Tori and we just saw a few scenes for that ( thank God) less then we saw from gabrine btw and this relation also happened when /because Cat gave up on him and dumped him ---- so every thing in his life was either because of Cat or for Cat ! how is that consider as a separate storyline from her ?!!! as for Cat she did have her fair share of centric in S2 but she didn't have a good or a convinced storyline ?! they write her character in an offensive way in my opinion when they made her act out of her character ?! for example when she kissed her boss in her work place in front of her co workers ! when she jumped on bed with a man she wasn't in love with ! when her self discovery took only two minuets because she was afraid Gabe might not wait for her ! when Tess said to her ( forget about self discovery because it won't warm you at night ?!! it was the most offensive words against women i ever hear in a TV show ?!! so a woman suggests to her friend to forget her self discovery because men don't wait for women too long and a woman can't live without a sexual partner ?!!!!!!!!! i quote a sentence from charmed to answer this ( if its cold at night add a blanket) ! and if a man can't wait for you till you find your self than you don't need him and its his loss not yours ! that is how i see they didn't do a good job with Cat's character in season 2 and it wasn't because of Vincent or her relationship/her love with him ! finally i want to admit that i am one of the fans who don't care that match for a separate storyline for Vincent or for Cathrine ! yes here i say it ! i am BATB fan and i didn't know KK or JR before it , now i really like both of them and consider myself a fan for both them but i am still a BATB fan first , so i care the most for their storyline together and want it to be the centric of the show and it isn't offended to anyone because its BEAUTY AND THE BEAST ! I didn't read everything you said yet but I have to say. I personally don't find that it was Vincent centric or that I even mind if it is I was merely saying that a lot of people find that season 2 was very Vincent centric and I guess that's because half the season was about V killing other beasts and it revolved around him. And then well second half wasn't so much but again it was about that beast collar. But like I said I might not generally find it all about V but I do see why people find it V centric.

for a guyt im surprised you don't watch Arrow lol jk I watch so many shows its crazy... on the cw alone I watch, HOD, supernatural, originals, TVD, arrow, I will watch flash... I don't know how they could really do crossovers I love BATB for its uniqueness to no other shows. I didn't mean that the two shows, BATB and Arrow, would actually crossover. I agree, BATB is unique and lives in its own universe. I just meant that there's some common background to where some Arrow fans might also watch BATB. I loved Smallville for its portrayal of Clark as a teen, learning to cope with his "special" abilities, but wanting what any other normal teenager wants. I didn't like the latter years when it got all super hero like and the Green Arrow was in full costume. So when Arrow premiered, I had no interest in it, I had had enough of the character from Smallville. i never watched smallville in fact I just started watching it last week. Have 10 seasons to watch so it should keep me busy for a while anyways lol but I don't like too much these superhero shows so I understand where you are coming from but arrow I don't find is like that. he only dresses up when he's out and about fighting which is not all that often. so maybe that's why I don't mind it; I don't know.

Of course the first spoiler on season three is about Vincent. Once the next interviews start coming in,then it will be more about him again.I guess that make him always be the cause, the Center, the bringer of drama on the show. Vincent story will expand to Cat and other secondary characters and how their arcs always revolving around him. If she's lucky,Cat will probably get one or two small arcs about her,but mostly her #1 job is still gonna be a medium batb writers use to tell Vincent story to the audiences using her perspective, as well as others. Dan, I think you've defined/driven your POV pretty well by now. I don't disagree with it, but it's just beating a dead horse at this point. The leadership of the producing team is going to continue so we have to assume the Vin-centric story-lines will still be dominate. Get used to it or find another show. OUCH. that was kinda mean. Yes hes been vocal about what he wants but he has a right to say what he wants but to suggest he either get used to it or find another show is pushing it a little. Everyone wants a bit more cat centric show. Yes season 2 was very Vincent centric and I think by maybe making V a doctor again Cat can have a separate storyline from Vincent as well.

This is interesting. You think Arrow viewers would be interested in BATB? Arrow is a super hero and so is BATB, this may not be such a bad idea especially since S3 sounds like it will really be action packed. I don't watch Arrow, so I'm not sure, but I think many would. I believe there are crossover fans from Smallville who must be watching Arrow, since Arrow is a spin-off of sorts from the character on Smallville. BATB seems to be headed into more superhero like territory with S3 and certainly there's the undeniable Smallville connection via KK. So I do think the pairing would increase the ratings. Heck if it were paired that way, it might tempt me to even watch Arrow every now and then. for a guyt im surprised you don't watch Arrow lol jk I watch so many shows its crazy... on the cw alone I watch, HOD, supernatural, originals, TVD, arrow, I will watch flash... Okay so has anyone felt a strong indication that there would be a wedding, perhaps Heather's since they made a mention of her being engaged. She did have a batchelor party too. I would assume that would be osme kind of surprise event for S3. On another note .. we need better villians. LOL I don't care or what Kern has to do. Anybody remember S2 as far as villians are concerned, where there any and how do we make this better for S3? Yup, I'm sure Heather's wedding will be woven into S3, with separate bachelorette/bachelor parties for the gals and guys. Oh wait, didn't Heather already have a party in 2x21? Something major is bound to happen at the wedding. I'll put money on something going wrong and Heather ends up not getting married. I'd like that to be towards the end of the season and have it be filmed in Miami or at least some place warm, to get them out of frigid Toronto for filming. A Vincent proposal to Catherine would be the perfect way to end S3. But I don't want to see them married yet, they need to stretch out that "sexual tension" for as long as possible. That's been my prediction for season 3 ending just been keeping mum about it lol

BUT she did say sexual tension lol Which leads me to believe 'something' or 'someone' (Heather) will cause this... Even though they will remain a couple LOL My guess? Something changes in his DNA and he can't do the with her without um beasting out FULLY on her. Just speculating here LOL I'm thinking Heather too. The other part don't see that one going down since they clearly have had no issues so far plus didnt they kinda go down that road in season 1.

Pictures and Video from Kristin Kreuk's ETCanada feature today. KK talks about Love Letters and Beauty and the Beast season 3!!
Pictures =
Video =
Kristin Kreuk says "BATB Season 3 will be pretty fun. There will be lots of action and comedy and sexual tension and all of that good stuff that people like. It'll be different than previous seasons."
Always great to see KK in an interview and even while promoting Love Letters she talks BATB S3. She's seems really excited for S3. But she didn't say ROMANCE or PASSION, what many Beasties seem to be clamoring for more of. We'll see, I'm still hoping for the best. BUT she did say sexual tension lol

I loved this last scene and the fact that it left Vincat (and us) in a happy place. Although I loved Season one, the gap between that and the start of season 2 was painful because Vincent and Cat were wrenched apart at a time when they had reached an understanding and a desire to be together, even at the expence of all other relationships, if necessary. I think the 'happy' ending will make the wait til Season three a lot easier to take. I also liked the ending and thought that the song Latch was a very nice fit for the happy ending that had them enjoying their moment of peace, love and pondering their future. Since they will likely film the last episode of S3 before they know whether or not BATB will be renewed for S4, they'll have a similar dilemma for the S3 finale. I'd like to see an intense and emotional, but still happy ending for S3. If one of the new shows flop and they pull it off the air we might get a 22 episode order so the ending could be different though I much rather this type of ending over season 1 ending lol though I didn't have to wait months to watch it just 2 ,I mutes HAHAHA the perks of joining the show late in season 2 lol

So I just read that interview and what I got from his hopefully we will get to film all episodes is that in the previous question they were talking about how sometimes shows get pulled off the air mid season, so I think what he meant was that hopefully that won't happen to them and they will be able to finish the whole season as planned.

Now imagine if V found his family and they didn't approve of Cat lol now that would be normal relationship issues? u know i think that wont happen. kern said in his interview that exploring more of vincent's family is kind of tricky so they probably wont go there. But he did also say they are still kinda looking at that but it's been tabled for now or was in season 2 at least

^ LOL don't get me wrong the ending was sweet but it was not a 'OMG' cry moment for me. Catalyst and Guiding Light and Whirlpool and a few others did that for me. I would have been okay with it if it weren't set to be the series finale If the show wouldn't have been given a season 3. Maybe it's that I love music so much that I associate everything with it I kinda agree. First time I watched the show I was disappointed but after rewatching it I fell in love with it. I'm the same with music as you so I get where you coming from, I guess maybe its not the song but the scene itself maybe there should have been MORE emotion. Yes they talked about future and stuff but it wasn't that series finale ending that would of made us satisfied to the core. I honestly feel like the song made the ending better.

THE only um dislike I have about this episode is 'LATCH' placement LOL .Don't get me wrong the song is nice but it didn't fit for that moment for me.. I mean a scene a lot of the time makes more impact when the song makes it more powerful. Great example Season one Pilot - Never Let Me Go Saturn Returns - Best Part Of Me Bridesmaid Up - To Be Torn Tough Love - Catalyst Partners In Crime -Stay With Me HEART of Darkness - Safe With Me Date Night - whirlpool Season. 2 Who Am I - I Can't Make You Love Me And the last few episodes of season 2 BLUE blood, Out Of The Scenery, Guiding Light, Palms All the songs made more of an impact on the scenes for me. Don't get me wrong the 'moment' was nice but it wasn't beauitful for me LOL As you can see it takes a lot more then just a scene for me to like it....I have to FEEL it. Music helps me do that. Very good example. But for me Latch made the scene a lot nicer. I fell in love with the song, the scene everything about it. I find that it fits them perfectly. They both latch onto each other, kinda like they r never gonna let each other go and the song fit it nicely and give it more meaning behind the scene. Just my view. But you are so right about everything else and especially the first episode with the never let me go scene that was a really nice scene.
