I feel one of the biggest issues this season was lack of emotional follow up or follow through, in other words, writing issues. There wasn't enough emotional honesty and depth, and for me, that was truly out of character. I just felt a lack of commitment to characters examining themselves: what do I observe, what do I feel, what do I need and, therefore, how do I act. In general, the quest for Who am I? left me feeling unconvinced.....as always, I'm open to criticism...but please, don't shoot me! .....and I will always love BatB and VinCat!!!! I think you're totally right. I don't want to talk about the worst scenes because I feel there were too many. It's not the acting but the dialogues and the WTF ? things I never understood. There were whole episodes that I will never be able to digest. Just one example: The whole Tori issue was terrible for me. I didn't mind her character at all, it's her relationship with V and most importantly the way it was written and handled was totally off. I wouldn't have HATED the whole thing if it had looked like just a temporary, rebound thing for V. But the way they did that whole arc was too long and it actually looked like a relationship. And it shouldn't have. We should have known for certain that V is really suffering emotionally because of his break up with C and instead what we got was every time he was in a scene darling Tori was there at his place, basically all over him. After Tori died- and he sort of became his old self again- it looked like he was sorry for Tori too much, he never clarified his feelings for Tori properly and all we heard was JT telling him that Tori did love him. WTF? I know she was not too important for him but the writers made it look like as if that wasn't the case. So I wouldn't have minded if he had a fling with Tori but it should've been a short thing and not a 3-4 ep long arc.

I think this ep will be really exciting. It has to be as it is the season opener and it needs to capture more audience (or they hope it will) so I think it will be full of adventures. I just have one request: PLEASE writers do not rush things!!!! Do not put more action into one episode than the amount the viewers can digest! The pace was crazy last season and I mean bad crazy, too fast and literally didn't leave time for things to settle down. We need more "silent" scenes, plase do not make Catherine/other chars talk so much!!! They overtalk almost everything... Please find the right balance!!!

I dunno. They always use the words "fun", "great ideas" or "epic".... and sometimes things don't work out as great as they originally planned.... I'm a little suspicious when they use these words.

This will be my state in T - 20 hours exactly right, and that is why i will be out all day today lol, cause i am like that already and the episode has not aired yet and the hiatus has not even started - need some fresh air and many distractions though i will probably be like that when i am out ... You know I started a new job two months ago so I have very little time for the forum right now but I've been trying to cut my emotional ties (or at least pretend that I'm doing good LOL) with the show... Why? Because I know I won't be able the handle the long hiatus in a healthy way... I'm too obsessed with batb/ VinCat etc so I'm trying every form of distraction Shopping, work, going on a trip, playground with kids, planning a new home, whatever...

I'm not worried about Vincent. I know he is a good MAN. He's not a beast inside and that's what matters. However, Gabe is different. He's the real BEAST, no matter how "cheesy" his smile was.... He has to go... Only one person is capable of dealing with him, and that is V. Whether he and C like it or not, whether this fight can threaten to destroy his new-found humanity, I'm afraid. But he's ready. He will be fine.

Oh oh.... "With Gabe possibly even bigger and badder than Vincent, it will force Vincent to test the moral line we’ve established, that if beasts cross they lose their humanity forever. " yes i was about to quote this sentence lol so we know now what the issue is! though i still dont know how that is linked to killing vincent...unless she has to kill him and revive him as human so he does not beast out on gabe ? also this is interesting...how do u interpret it? TVLINE | She also said there’s a “big question” to be answered…. There are a lot of big decisions to be made in this episode. There is, I’ll tell you this, a leap of faith. The question is: “Do we take the leap of faith trusting that love will save all, or do we not take that leap?” I believe that even if V gets too close to losing himself again, he has gone through so much change - I mean in a good way- that he will not go back to the dark side again. And unfortunately in order to kill this supercharged /murderous /new /totally insane beast called Gabe, Vincent has to go far this time. This will probably be the biggest fight he's ever had, not only because of Gabe's new powers but also both of them really LOATHE each other. There is a lot of passion in both of them to kill the other. One of them can survive, I expect this kind of fight.

"We aren’t just threatening the life of Vincent, we’re threatening his humanity, which threatens his and Catherine’s love…." This season has already done a major damage in my nerve system. I don't know how long I can weather the storm...

Well I think they make a few good points about the writing. I agree the writing has not been great. Last year we had the same issues generally writing wise but they did great with the development of the vincat relationship and characters it was less erratic and random. I think I am inclined to write some sort of review of what ibthink needs improvement and send it to them. If it is constructive rather than negative they may take notice who knows. I and I am only saying that not to criticise the show but I genuinely think a few writing changes could just make it perfect. I love when you write a review because it is always constructive and I believe you can really make a difference! Off you go! Send them your review!
