I love this ep,for me one with the most feelings. When V eyes glowing-pure jealousy even if he tells JT he has no right to be jealous. The scene in the Artist studio so beutiful and hardbreaking. His low tone voice shows his vulnerbility, the way he exposes his own feelings - big chemisty between our VinCat. In the last scene the way she tells to him beeing the best part in her life and how he tells her that he was jealous. Love their honest. For me now they show their feelings to each other and it's a turning point the love is growing.

I love the fact too that they have got Jay/Vincent back in the green coat with the flipped collar and the epusode when he's in the cemetary while Cat's talking to her mom and then she notices him by the railings once again many swoon worthy moments and seriously thought we would get a kiss in that episode and when we did'nt I remembet thinking and saying out loud but then when it did happen it was worth the wait

Am I the only one that think that when V. talks about the picture of the model and focuses on the curve of her back and the softness of her skin it seems that in his imagination there is not the model but Cat and he is caressing her back... like in an intimate conversation

Okay, even tho, I was all alone tonite, still was a great rewatch. The fugue/blackout storyline was definitely one of my favorite storylines. I did my own re-watch of the episode earlier today, but wasn't sure if the re-watch thing was still on since there wasn't a thread opened last week. If yolie can't open the thread, usually I do, but I got stuck in board meeting last week & wasn't near my computer/phone to open a thread. Usually there is only a handful of us that rewatch on Mondsy nights, so I guess everyone just got busy? I look forward to this every week esp the S1 episodes as I wasnt a beastie yet when these episodes first aired so i couldn't participate. But I love reading everyone's thoughts & comments on the episode:). I'll b here next Monday for 1x07.

This episode is full of swoon-worthy scenes, dialogues and stares. From the beginning, when Cat looks for V to understand why he didn't show up (so many feels in both! their expressions! omg!!!) and then all the misunderstandings, V going to Cat's appartment with intention to explain himself, Cat being all defensive and again their expressions! V's eyes glowing out of jealousy for the first time (OMG!! TOO HOT!!!), the convo at painting studio (and the music in the background) were just PERFECT.... the double meaning of the whole conversation was... wow!!! I remember my heart was beating so hard during that scene!!!! And then the final scene, where they are soooo open!!! I loved that Cat was so sincere with Vincent, obviously because he needed it to clarify how she feels around him. And V's reaction, his surprise, his insecurity, still feeling worthless... damn!! this is definetely one of my fav scenes from the whole show!!! What I really never never understood is: How Cat could tell him " I have to go" in such an intimate moment, where the KISS was THERE, just waiting!!!! Honestly, it never made sense to me... Bottom line... I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS EPISODE. Wasn't it obvious already??? lol Omg! IKR? Very first time I watched this episode, that final V&C scene I was waiting for the kiss! The scene does end very abruptly and I was disappointed. I guess it probably was still a bit too soon and they still haven't officially defined what they are to one another yet, but I was expecting at least a hug! Lol

it is funny what you guys said about the kiss - or rather lack of. the chemistry and connection was so evident that not having a kiss seemed pretty absurd. obviously they were trying to delay the process as much as they could for obvious reasons but it just had to happen sooner rather than later. though i do think they could have found a more believable non kiss way of ending than scene than what they chose - which is cats voice as a kind of voiceover saying i have to go... i remember reading or listening to an interview where sherri and jennifer said their initial plans were to not get them together till the end of s1 if not later and include a trinagle with evan but the chemistry between vincat was so intense that they just did not feel that would make sense in the end... of course in the end cat was paired with Gabe but dont get me started on that. regarding the alex arc that Yolie mentioned I personally loved that arc - so many emotinos came out and the episode 10 final scene is one of my very top scenes of both seasons. i did not like how it was resolved and it should have been clearer how this was vincents decision but overall the arc was great. unlke a few other arcs (gabe cough cough, tori cough cough etc)

It was lame idea how they did it. That part left me blah. Enough about this LOL Anytime she puts her hand on his face is so sexy and vice-versa SIGH

The big problem (which for us isn't a problem) is that the VinCat chemistry is way to strong that they had to get them together sooner rather than later.. The very first time I watched the show I couldn't believe that it took them 14 episodes to kiss! Yes they made love right after but if they dragged it out any longer of not getting them together I think it would've been awkward and not believable if they waited any longer to get them together. Honestly their chemistry together is the big elephant always in the room. No matter what's going on in a scene 99% of the time that's all you can focus on. Whenever a new episode comes out of BATB the first time I watch it, that is literally all I'm focusing on. I have to watch again asap to actually figure out and process what really went on in the episode besides their chemistry

I agree, there was defenitly something off with the last scene. It ended too abruptly, it looked like something was cut off and Cat’s voiceover was added later in the editing process. I will never forget when I first watched this episode. It was a Friday evening in November 2012. I started into BATB in early November. It was on my list of new shows to try out in fall, because the 80s version was one of my favorite shows in my teenage years, but then I read some horrible reviews of the pilot, and it wasn’t top priority anymore. But on some rainy weekend, when I had nothing else to watch, I decided to finally take a look at the BATB pilot. I found most of the criticism confirmed and was even unsure if to continue. First impression: The case was very weak, KK and Nina Lisandrello looked and acted ridiculous as cops, and the Beast wasn’t beastly enough. But I saw the chemistry between Vincent and Catherine right from the start, and that, along with Jay Ryans portrayal of Vincent, was enough to keep me watching. I enjoyed it more and more, the other actors soon grew on me, and after ep 4 it became the show I was looking forward for the most every week. Then came episode 6. What shall I say that hasn’t been said before. The scene in the painters studio swept me off my feet. In so many years of watching TV, hardly ever a scene got to me like this one, it was so beautifully done. The lines, the way they were delivered, the music… perfection. I realized this show was unique. Most writers of other shows would not dare to do such scenes, thinking they’d be cheesy or over the top. Also, not many actors could pull this off, but due to the portrayal of KK and JR(kudos to the genius who casted them), scenes like this never felt cheesy to me, only heartfelt and real. So ep 6 for me was the key episode that brought me from merely liking this show to becoming an obsession. Sadly, the season 1 writers are all gone by now, I think the only one left is Roger Grant. Although I enjoyed many VinCat moments in season 2, they could never evoke the feelings I had during scenes like the one described above and similar season 1 scenes that followed. Some season 2 writers clearly shied away from the deep emotional conversations, and tried to give VinCat too much of a Mr and Mrs Smith vibe, which, in my opinion, didn’t suit them at all and changed the tone too much. Now they added a bunch of new writers for season 3, and honestly I’ve got to say I’m a bit skeptical seeing where they are coming from(what according to their twitter accounts, seems to be more of the geek /science fiction/ comic book corner) But until I haven’t seen anything of season 3, so far I still tend to give them a vote of confidence. Let’s see if someone has learned from season 2 mistakes. And I would still watch this show with Vincent and Catherine reading their lines from a telephone book, because no one ever can destroy the chemistry between them, that’s for sure

This is the episode for me that totally hooked me!!! It was Christmas, I had time off from work and came across a clip on Youtube. I was a fan of the original series, so was curious.... It was not on UK tv at that point so I went online and found a site. Really enjoyed it from the start and blitz watched it. When I got to Worth and the scene in the studio.....I was OMG...that voice, the chemistry.....and the rest is history. Have to say though that I am no longer as obsessed as I was and I lay that at the door of the season 2 story arc. Vincat having other love interests took the shine off their romance for me... Here's hoping that Season 3 turns me back into an addict xx
