And Catherine's Disney princess fantasy is over with only one night in the suburbs. Love how she throws the paper at the bird singing and tells it to shut up! I've always think that Cat reactions here were quite out of carácter, she had faced so much complex situations that it is difficult to believe she was going to be so upset after one night now that she can enjoy with Vin

And Cat and Vincent moving as one automatically towards the sound of the shot. They really do work so well together.
And Vincent OBVIOUSLY has slept well, AGAIN, after clearly having been worn out the previous night. So Cat and Vincent did enjoy at least a little of suburbia (and I'm still grumbling that we didn't get to see more or at least have more allusions to their activities).

That whole scene with vinCat playing house right before the shots is just too cute. It makes me smile every time. Jay & KK were perfect in it

And Cat just gets all the signals. She figures it out so quickly. She really IS good at what she does. And Vincent just SO wants her to be wrong. And Vincent really does call Cat out on the possibility that she just might want to sabotage suburbia. But Cat comes right back with the fact that Vincent has not been willing to ignore the plight of others either (think Season 1 "vigilante"). Cat just makes it clear that they can't be selfish and ignore the world outside of themselves. Cat knows they left an investigation unresolved in NY. She never really could relax in suburbia and let others do her job. Just not who she is. (And again, the writers and showrunners were already planning a possible Season 3 at this point, and showing how Cat can't let injustice go shows why she will want her and Vincent to ultimately pursue working with Homeland to save victims. Just is who she is.)

Vincent only having the fish to talk to! "She can't even handle normal!" And NEITHER can HE! I love this! Vincent just HAS to go ask the neighbor if she had her husband killed. And he knows then that she is lying AND that Catherine is right. (And Vincent ALREADY sounds JUST like a husband--"I hate it when she's right!" HeeHeeHee)

And Cat never misses a beat. Just catches the cop's slip, and the fact he was wearing a vest, expecting to get shot at. And Cat moves quick--I guess all those times of Vincent being in trouble and having to cover for him really DID actually ADD to Cat's skillset!

It is the first time we can see Cat really concerned about Vincent blaming her . Vincent doesn't use to get angry with Cat

Cat is right neither her or V would ever be able to live with themselves if they didn't do everything to allow justice to prevail. Both V&C at the cores are about helping others and facing things head on. I just think V was a little frustrated at first BC he forgot that & ontop of it I think he wanted to be a little selfish & b with Catherine without the outside world interfering. But obviously by episodes end he realizes that is not possible for her or them. It's who she is & who they are together:)

I do LOVE the fact that even though Vincent was obviously angry earlier about Catherine not appreciating suburbia, his anger is just gone when Catherine is in front of him. He just can't help but find her doing the right thing to be just another reason why he loves her so much (and the fact that she is bleeding probably doesn't hurt anything either. I mean, the cop did just try to kill her.).

And JT planning to drink his woes away and eat a HUGE bag of gummy worms thinking he had failed Vincent. And Tess comparing his actions to Batman and then demanding a gummy for her comforting efforts! LOVE THIS. (And gummy worms just serving to be both comfort food and the drown-your-sorrows food. Again, love the gummy cameo!)

And the ending scene IS so perfect between Vincent and Catherine. Vincent refuses to be even the least mad about having to be back in NY and in hiding all over again because he loves Catherine so. He realizes he wouldn't want to change her for anything, even at the cost of his freedom.
And Vincent calls her out, sweetly, about her wanting justice above all else. (Which again is why Cat will be so upset about Gabe next episode--Cat finally realizes that justice was NEVER what Gabe was about. Gabe only wanted what made him look good to the mayor and his power cronies. And Cat has to realize how wrong she was and how she almost ruined her own life, as well as those of her friends, by having kept Gabe entangled with them as a result of her having had a romantic relationship with him. Because Gabe would have FINALLY been gone from the precinct and their lives by episode 213 had his relationship with Cat not kept him involved with them. So Cat shoulders a great deal of blame and guilt as a result of her own poor decisions. And it REALLY catches up with Cat next episode, PARTICULARLY as she sees how driven Gabe is to kill Vincent.)
