bookworm, I always admire your cool and calm approach to each episode. I love your logical take on the events and I agree with your review...I'm just struggling a little with Catherine in general....and a lot in this episode.

....but I did not like how Vincent was portrayed in dream sequence #2! It's probably just me!

I really disliked Catherine when Vincent said that he was trying to save the Jacob in the hospital and she told him to leave that to the real doctors.....so thoughtless!!!!! However, not 30 minutes before she told him in the hospital that she liked seeing his old self, when he was helping the young boy who had been misdiagnosed. No wonder my head is spinning!!!! with that, i am thinking she was really anxious to solve the case and was not deliberately mean, but still insensitive and thoughtless nonetheless.

oh no not Buffy and Angel again ! they couldn't succeed so why should C and V can ?! any way now we understand what Austin said in an interview that V was meant to be a beast ? he meant he has that gene , so what ? Gabe , Tori , Zach and every beast came in the show had it too , what we can take from these ?! so , she just wants Gabe because he isn't beast any more , she wants to have a relation with a complete normal man , but still she can't leave V's beast alone ? she uses him whenever she needs him ! ok , in some episodes they mange to make me really dislike V's character , and now they mange to make me feel the same for Cat's character , so shall we call it even and end this crap and go back to our old good show pleas <remove future episode spoiler> regarding gabe after watching this episode it is clear she does not want to be with him (even though she still is...sigh). she is slowly waking up i guess to the fact that she loves vincent. i dont know lol still processing the episode which was way too fast paced but i am sure about the above I've read those spoilers and frankly, I'm not a fan of it . Reason being, Cat and Gabe are still in a relationship this episode and obviously sleeping together. It's bad enough it almost felt like a light switch from one episode to the next with Vincent's feelings for Cat. <remove future episode spoiler>;It is irrelevant whether or not she is suppressing her feeling for Vincent. It's like the writers' hale Mary before hiatus In reality, step back and look at the previous episodes. Vincent just recently said (and it wasn't the first time) "Catherine needs to move on". Also, Cat has been distancing herself and protecting her heart from Vincent for a while now. She does still love him and ultimately they are the end game. I do not believe for one second that Cat loves Gabe. I think she does care for him though.

you know dear i trust you and i have no doubt in any thing you say , but my doubt is in your resources ? maybe again they said some thing has 2 meaning and we choose the meaning we like but not the true meaning , like Cat chat with shirtless V and the sexual tension , it happened but was just a dream , or may be they just want to calm us down till the end when we find out the truth ! remember all the assurance talk they gave us about Tori ? and then what ?! and for Gabe the show makers favorite character now i don't think we will get rid of him that easy , they insist to throw him into our faces over and over and it doesn't matter if Cat wants to be with him or not as long as she is still with him after all and doesn't do any thing to change that ! may be they will have sex in e15 but she will just cheat on Gabe with V and regrets it and goes back crawling to Gabe ! we will find out in 2 weeks but i am sure about these two episodes, i would put money on these two things happening, no doubts in my mind, making love and relationship well dear i will not disagree with you or put money on the opposite , because first bet is against my believes and second that is a bet i will be over joy if i lost it ! so all i can say i hope you are right dear and we finally be free of this torture

....but I did not like how Vincent was portrayed in dream sequence #2! It's probably just me! I have to LOL cause I just viewed it for the second time...Chica obviously they were going by dream sequence and by the way each one having the dream recalled the other person..TO Catherine's mind and ours Vincent was a 'j' so obviously the Vincent in her dream is the one she's been dealing with the whole season LOL That's how I saw that. I have so much more to say..Still processing..I'm guessing is all those GabeRine kisses EWWWW!

I'm usually Team Catherine but my word, Catherine was really mean at times and yap, that part had me whipping my head and going whaaaaaaat?!!! She was like all over the place I couldn't keep up I completely agree. I just felt sooooo bad for Vincent, mostly because he is trying so very hard to change his life around! As JT so wisely put it, "It's hard to be Dr. Jekyll, when everyone wants Mr. Hyde". This may cause some serious tomato throwing at me, but I just felt so frustrated with Catherine and her thoughtless words and actions toward Vincent. I know and realize that Vincent said and did some thoughtless words and actions as well, but he's trying sooooo desperately to change!! How fair is that to him?? Why spend soooo much time telling him that he has to change his ways, and when he is trying to do that very thing, then all of sudden you change your mind and decide you need him to be a beast. To me this parallels last season, when Evan was kidnapped and JT gave her the tranq to use on Vincent, but she doesn't cause she needs him to save Evan. Once again, JT was the voice of wisdom in that episode when he points out that her actions had serious consequences for Vincent, but she wasn't thinking about that. I'm not saying Vincent is a saint.. far from it... and I'm not saying that I think Catherine is 100% to blame for feeling the way she does. ( I hope you know what I mean cause now I've confused myself!!! ) All I'm trying to say is that she needs to seriously sit down and have an honest conversation with herself about who she is and where (or rather WHO she wants to be with); cause honey I do believe I hear Dr. Keller paging you and you'd be certifiably INSANE not to answer his call!!!

I think I am the only one that liked this episode. Of course I did not like the C/G kisses and neither her denial, even when JT broke his bro code. It's like she never listen JT telling what Vince do for wining her back. I tried to see the whole episode and not focus on vincat thing. They will back together in the next episodes I guess. I saw her being sad when Gabe makes her to choice neither him or Vince. It's kind of unfair. It's obvious to me that she tries enough to deny her feelings for Vince even to herself and pushes herself into a relationship to forget Vince. It's impossible if she loves him. She is so stubborn!
no i liked the episode too it was a weird feeling i got from it, can't quite explain yet will need to rewatch there were bits i really did not enjoy watching or bits that were a let down (such as the granny kisses and the jt and cat interaction which i expected to be more major) but i did like the episode Weird is the word. That last dream sequence confused me. Now this is the question: when did the dream start? Was the entire episode the dream? Are we to assume that the dream was from when Gabe gave her an ultimatum or from when Cat appears at V's houseboat? That needs to be clarified because I think it would add more context to the ep.

That comment burned. I don't know why they keep writing Catherine like this. She's said some cutting stuff in s1 before but that comment was harsh.

Well JT said the same thing just before -- told him that pretending to be a doctor in NY was a felony. I thought Catherine was referring to Vincent's old self in terms of helping people not specifically being a doctor.

OOOHHHHHH!! I like the way you think!! I never for a minute thought that they could be going the "Dallas" dream route with this episode!! I don't think that's the route they took, but you never know.

Dream sequence #1 why did he wake up? It was soooooo hot and they were about to .... Dream s. #2 just before that ugly last part it was HOTHOTHOTHOTHOT :thudpile: Both of them dreaming the same scenario (ok hers ending not so well) ....this shows their subconscious is focused on the same thing.... yes i loved that it started and ended in the same way, with a dream. i think in 215 catherine will find out more about her slayer side (if that is the case, cause not 100% clear to me from the chat with the dad) and will go to vincent to tell him they cannot be together etc and they end up making love in my mind this is how it will play out, like in the dream but ends well oh and gabe is out of the picture right at the beginning of 215 i so loved that scene where he finally revelaed his true feelings ... i was cheering! firstly cause for once he was human, not a robot and secondly because it is obvious that all cat needs to get rid of him is the slight bit of resistance and non-support from him which she now got by him asking her to choose.
