Not sure if it was your imagination, but it felt like they were just going through the motions. The VinCat chemistry that is usually so strong wasn't there for me. KK once said she felt that chemistry can be acted, so again maybe it was just her performance. Maybe she was freezing her butt off at Niagara falls and just couldn't concentrate, who knows, but something felt off. I agree. No matter what Jay&KK or VinCat do,I think they always have some kind of chemistry, and I think they did this episode, but it wasn't as strong as it normally, something was off imo, not exactly sure what it was. Maybe it was the acting like you said. After all especially at Niagra Falls they were filming in probably below freezing weatherNot a good excuse. This series has filmed in Toronto winters from the get go, so the weather alone can't be the reason.

It's weird though, cuz we all know that Jay& KK have it & can bring it out perfectly & amazingly at any time. They are just that good. So what was different this episode? Do you think that some of the directors are really that dense and don't recognize what they have in Jay& KK and the potential they have with their chemistry? Or is it just not what they want? Bc ultimately its the directors calls on how they act in a scene.

If there is such a thing like too much writing, this episode had it. In moments where words would have been unnecessary, KK had like four lines we all have heard before. So why not let Vincat work their magic instead? They don't have to voice their every thought. Not every emotion needs to be vocalized. Is that even word in English? I don't know. Anyhow, it felt overdone. I thought the last scene did not require so much dialogue. And some of those lines felt really corny to me. Like for a second I thought I was on a daytime soap channel. lol.

Heather had a nice dress errrrr dresses. Another sequencing/continuity slip-up because Julianna also changes dresses when she shouldn't have.

Hello everyone I don't write often, I'm more of a lurker myself but this time I wanted to share something with you. I've been rewatching S1 lately (yes I'm that addicted) and it's just a painful reminder of how amazing the VinCat chemistry used to be. I don't know, I feel like it's been missing this season. Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying the new season very much, but the lack of fire is getting frustrating. For example the scene at the end of this episode, after a near-death experience, it would have been the perfect set-up for a sexy VinCat scene. Instead we just got a few seconds...but so much repetitions when it came to the wedding talk? And I have to say I blame this on the writers/directors, because we know the chemistry KK & JR can pull off, we've seen it in the past. I'd like to know your thoughts about this

At first I thought, hmmm, Heather changed her dress before getting beaten up, but maybe it's suppose to be the next day? Since it took time for the superhuman assassin to bring VinCat back from Niagara falls to NYC where I assume Juliana's lab/hide was located.

I also noticed that Vincent is driving a different car too; his SUV was silver in The Most Dangerous Beast, in this episode it's a black jeep.

For the chemistry question IMO they are trying to behave like every other Tv couple and not as our magic Vincat maybe to stop whoever think this is more that amazing acting and good frienship and want to see more in that. As for other things happened this day a bad apple ruins what other love and respect

I know, understandably, that there is only so much actors can do with lines given. My problem was not the execution of those lines. My problem was the script and the banality of some of those lines to the point where even the actors did not seem to be convinced. That is exactly it. But they are not every other TV couple and that's what sets this show apart from any other out there. I wish the writers would give more space to that efortless chemistry between these two on the expense of some of their lines.

BATB certainly has great visual appeal (for both sexes) and it's better than a lot of the stuff on TV, but Brad Kern and the writers have made it essentially impossible to take seriously.....in my opinion. The Vincat "romance" scenes still seem to work fairly well but they almost seem out of place in the episodes now. It's very weird.

I was wrong, can't be the next day, because Cat & Vincent are still at the Niagara falls wedding place when Heather is captured wearing a different dress. Wardrobe continuity slip. Speaking of wardrobe, I'm sure happy VinCat didn't go through with the elope plan. Everyone else is all dressed up to be married, while VinCat really do look like "foreigners" (joke on what the clerk said in the ep, no offense intended to Int'l beasties). I mean Vincent is wearing his olive jacket with a purple shirt and purple tie? Worse, Cat is wearing a polka dot blouse that looks like it's from the 1950's? I enjoyed the episode, but there were many things that just seemed "off" in this one - including the wardrobe...

I enjoyed the episode, but there were many things that just seemed "off" in this one - including the wardrobe... I'm pretty sure it is supposed to be the next day because everyone is wearing different clothes. In the first Tess/JT scene, Tess is wearing a blue blouse and when her assistant tells her that Heather has dismissed her protection, Tess is wearing a maroon dress. JT switches from a dark plaid shirt in his first scene to a red plaid when he is talking to Vincent, and Cat and Vincent are wearing different clothes from when they are in the car and at the wedding place. It takes 6 1/2 hours or so to get to Niagara Falls from NYC so Cat and Vincent leave, Heather gets Cat's text while at her job interview, goon returns to report to Juiliana that he's lost VinCat so now they are going to use Heather, so she gets the job offer. Probably would have been clearer if Juliana were to have told Heather that she was hired and to come back the following morning if she wanted the job, but without her protective detail. The goon could have been some 6 hours behind VinCat, and since they wanted him to find them, they waited til the next day to go to the marriage place. The sad thing is that poor Heather would have been sitting in that chair for over 6 hours waiting for the goon and VinCat to return to NYC.

Pippin, I don't have the patience to rewatch the episode, but upon reflection I think you're correct. Heather would have indeed had a sore butt. I missed that one....sorry.
