Okay, I'm tired of the kick Tess conversation, so I'm changing the subject. The opening scene of "Both Sides Now" definitely pays homage to the original series. Vincat meet in the park at a tunnel entrance. I LOVE it! Glad someone caught that LOL it looked like a tunnel but it's actually under a bridge same effect on me though LOVED it! These are the little things that make me go 'Awe!!'

Her job is important, but not more important than say...someone's life, in this case Vincent's. It's like comparing oranges and apples, so for her to continue to whine about her job under these particular circumstances makes her look...I don't know...petty and self-absorbed. That's why this episode Tess reminded me of Vincent when he kept bringing up his job at the start of the season. He, like Tess, was concerned about keeping his new job and not getting caught up in what was happening outside of that, while their other halves was jeopardizing that job with their need to help other people. Unlike Tess though, Vincent asks Cat to marry him, but considering how VinCat seemed to keep having the same discussions over the next few episodes, I'm thinking the proposal should have happened in episode 5, once Vincent realized that he was still a target. Speaking of Vincent's job, how does he still have one if he and Cat were on the run? Even if he got some vacation time already, which doesn't seem likely given he hasn't been there very long, you would think that at some point the hospital staff might realize that since he was hired, they have had a crazy person wreak havoc in the hospital, one of their patients executed, a donated organ stolen, multiple gunshots in their building and at least two upper floor windows completely shattered. Oh it's called a TV show LOL

I know I earlier came out on Tess' side in the whole JTnT relationship, but maybe she is less invested in the whole mythological mystery than VinCat n JT. Yes, she's probably Cat's BFF but Tess has never personally been attacked by a beast. The most danger she's been in was 2x11 in the precinct n that was by humans although the issue was beast related. Look at poor JT who was slashed n strung up by you know who in 2x22, then shot by Bob n of course injected with protobeast derived serum. So she cares about these beast related issues mainly becos she cares about the people affected. It's too late for the writers to change anything now of course but I wish they would have an episode where Tess is injured/captured by a beast or superhuman. Maybe then she will cut JT a bit more slack.

Oh it's called a TV show LOL Vincent's motivation was completely different though. He had lived a life of hiding, torment and pursuit for 10 years. He could be totally pardoned for wanting to concentrate on the life and career that had been stolen from him. There wasn't any doubt in my mind that Vincent would get involved again once he realized the danger or that he'd be fully engaged. That is not the case with Tess.

There wasn't any doubt in my mind that Vincent would get involved again once he realized the danger or that he'd be fully engaged. That is not the case with Tess. may i add that also Vincent knows that his priority is Cat and their life together , so even when he kept bringing up his job at the start of the season like pippin said he did that so he can have the life he is dreaming of with her , and that is why he propose in the first episode not in ep 5 , and that is why when he carried out in his job he always tried to make up to her for that , for V his job is a mean or a method not the purpose itself , and that is of course not the case with Tess ! funny how in ep 2/22 she said she envies the epic love vincat have and wonder if she ever could get something like that when she isn't even willing to make any effort or sacrifice anything to reach that ! she wants to be always on the receiving not the giving in her relationship --- and if that doesn't scream selfishness i don't know what else could be the definition of the word !

Finally binged watched Ep2 to Ep7 and so far I'm liking this Season. E1 and E6 are my favs as well Apart from using repetitive lines and the use of the 'c' word (co-dependent), I like how the show is progressing. Each episode we get teased with a small clue in solving or guessing who the mysterious big bad really is. I just hope, like many of you that he or she is truelly BAD, BAD!!!! I especially love that we get to see our Fab 4 consistently on screen, compared to last season where Nina and Austin were underutilized and Vincat were separated. They're slowly teasing us Beasties with Vincat love and we'll be rewarded with some Vincat hotness very soon (fingers crossed). Thankyou to all the Beasties who eloquently reviewd this episode perfectly, I totally agree that 'both sides' is referring to Vincat and JTnT relationship and their 'willingness' or 'lack of' to listen to their respective partners point of view. On one side you have Catherine and JT who are totally focused on achieving their goal and following through with their plan (not throughly thought out I might add). And then you have Vincent and Tess who are voicing their opinions and concerns and feeling frustrated that they're not being taken into consideration or heard. And we get to see the consequences/repercussions of their actions and choices. My fav parts of the ep: From the get go, we see how reluctant Vincent is with Catherine's plan to elope. Vincent becomes increasingly agitated all the way from the car ride, to the alter. Jay played it so brilliantly with his facial expressions and body language Vincent is so romantic..he doesn't want a fake wedding but the real thing...aww The conversation between JT and Heather at the lab I've denied myself access to anything spoilerish this season, hopefully I can last going "Cold Turkey" Looking forward to E8.

I am pleasantly surprised........I like it so far. I can't get over the big canister of gummy worms in Tess' office! You can just "Feel" Tess' irritation with being ignored by JT and trying to juggle all of VinCat's troubles. "Is he a Foreigner??" HAHAHA........that lady was a hoot! She played her annoyance so perfectly. WHAT THE HECK?The Batb episode is halfway done and the CW IS PLAYING "WHO's LINE IS IT ANYWAY"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG.........they actually showed a comedy skit for WLIIA?? This is strange, now it is back to BaTB. GEEZ LOUISE..........It was weird. I just had a heart attack. Way to go Vincent, he stood by his guns and wants a real wedding. Disappointed with Cat....she is just a bit too into sacrificing everything for these Baddies. I half see her point but give that guy a hug and tell him he is right. Poor Heather. Who is this Julianna chick? I must admit the Superguy is kind of cute. Back to the show. Why did Julianna keep asking, how she found "her"?? I understand that she questions Cat how she knows about the other super humans but does she mean "how did they find her" meaning Julianna? I don't know if I am reading more into into that. Poor Vincent. He was so sad when he said "I love you". Cat..........HOLY COW..........she wailed on Julianna! Talk about a "Crazed Cat"!! Now that Tess and JT break up was some good acting right there. It was real and you could feel the pain from Tess. JT was totally taken aback. I really felt the emotion between these two........it was refreshing. I actually think it was the right thing to do. Now will they stay that way? I really liked the Tess scene when she tells Vincent how JT will always be there for him. Vincent turning around knew something was wrong. The Fireside VinCat scene was nice. Cat gets it.......but how many times does Vincent have to almost die for her to realize it could really happen. The dialogue is a so "repetitive".......I think we all "get it". I think this has been mentioned numerous times but I am just agreeing. It was a sweet scene but I didn't feel the "almost died" emotional component in the kiss. Come on writers, a deep passionate kiss was called for in that scene,...you can't gloss over that! A letdown. Over all, a rewatchable episode.............And I liked it. It moved the storyline a little bit, but I thought it would be more. I think they are dragging their feet and I really hope they don't wait till Episode 13 to rush the reveal of the Big Baddie! I hate when they cram tons of stuff into the finale and things get shortchanged.

Anyone here to discuss tonight's episode? Was tonite the first time u saw it? I always watch live, but see it beforehand. I thought it was good. Love the little VinCat moments & how V wants so bad the fairytale wedding. The only thing I would change is I wish Cat cried a bit when Julianna was gonna inject V.

That skit was like 3 minutes long!

I hate when they cram tons of stuff into the finale and things get shortchanged. I am so with you Suzieq ❤️ Beastie! I did so enjoy tonight's episode. Vincent is so wonderfully romantic and Cat has to catch up. She is stuck emotionally, afraid to dream and Vincent is not, his is through running, through hiding. He wants to marry his true love, he wants the fairytale before anyone kills him or her or both of them. Guess what I am so with him! Grab your happiness so if anything happens they cannot take that away from you. He has sacrificed for long enough and the threats keep coming. I agree that ending kiss should have had us throwing water in our faces or running for the shower after everything that has happened in this episode. All the threats, pain and the losses (JT and Tess, Vincent almost being killed, Heather being seriously beatup) And what was with the Whose line is it anyway interruption! They stole variable time from our story. But you may have a valid point they may be pacing the Season for a big buildup and reveal. I'll be doing numerous rewatches and will be here next Thursday. I look forward to your joining me here in our Den! Big Hugs to you my dear Suzieq ❤️ Beastie, thank you for your camaraderie and Beastie love!
