anapi -season3baby :), I assume you mean how do I compare S2 & S1, since it's too early to say for S3. Yes, I am probably one of the very few that watched the seasons in the wrong order. I stumbled upon BATB really by chance flipping channels. I knew KK from Smallville, but never really followed her very closely after she left that series. I just happened to flip to the CW just as "Kidnapped" was starting, saw KK and decided to watch out of curiosity. I had missed "Who Am I" when it played live and went to the CW site later to watch it, so I pretty much saw of all of S2 live when it originally aired. Because Vincent had lost his memory, it was kind of a clean slate. So I didn't feel compelled to go back and quickly watch all of S1. I was learning about the characters just as Vincent was learning "who am I" and the love VinCat once had. I have given many comments on S2 on this SEO board in many places, so I won't repeat all of those details. But I enjoyed S2, for me it didn't suck. Probably because I had no S1 to compare it to at the time. The beast of the week arcs were fun, the triangles were kind of boring but didn't upset me, but the best was from 215-222. As you know, it was 217 that really hooked me into becoming a true beastie vs a normal viewer. I was enjoying S2 so much I wanted to save S1 for the long hiatus to S3. (I had no clue it would be this long!!!) Anyway, watching S1 was then like watching a movie prequel. Being a romantic and a KK fan, I think I loved S1 for exactly the same reasons that everyone else does. You only fall in love for the first time once and that was the essence of S1. Hence S1 will always be special because of that. But objectively, S1 was far from perfect. Like you, I felt some of the "case of the week" plots were kind of lame, but the VinCat romance made up for that. For me, the best part of S1 was 109-118. I'd even argue that 119-122 were somewhat S2-ish. For sure I'd take S1 over S2 any day, but S2 was still enjoyable for me. cool yes i was under the impression that your fav episodes of all s1 and 2 were season 2 17-22 but you must have said that before u watched s1

The beast assassin arc, the triangles/mythology arc and the fugitive arc (217-222). Of the 3 arcs, yes I like the fugitive arc the best. But from the moment I started watching S1, I knew I liked it better than S2, the whole vibe was quite different and achingly romantic in a way S2 rarely matched.

I've been enjoying the thoughtful comments of alwayscrazedbatbfan But I have some observations. As a one-time New Yorker, I wanna say people don't hang out on the rooftops much, at any time of day. That's just poetic license. But at night? You've gotta be kidding. Absolutely right, Bill. Depending on the place and building one would hardly want to be on a rooftop in the daytime. I love this comment! I totally agree with this. Patience people. Sit back and enjoy the ride, don't fret and worry about everything from one episode! Gotta disagree with this point, though. I thought the way it was delivered was just fine. Vincent is not that formal of a man and if he'd gone that route it would have felt very pretentious to me (just like it did last season when he told her she was "smokin' hot," Vincent is not that guy). "Babe" rolled off his tongue just right and was better suited to his character/personality. AMEN! Ditto. Well, haters gonna hate. Revenge is much sweeter when you're watching new episodes of Vincat with a glass of wine and feet propped up on a stool, wrapped in the warm knowledge that S4 is filming now.

I enjoyed reading that, it aligned with my view of the episode and their grade wasn't far off from my own. I probably would have given it a B+ , as Ksitetv did, instead of an A- if I weren't so biased. I thought the random "Jumble of" thoughts were spot on! - Way to abuse your police liberties to get to your date on time, Cat. - Intimate lighting for an intimate episode, but some scenes were almost too dark to see our characters. - Aaaw, they set their alarm for six minutes before seven. Randomly normal, cute thing. - Latest street drug?! Oh come on, Catherine, even you don’t believe what you’re saying. - Did we ever find out what happened to Vincent’s parents? If he has his mother’s engagement ring she must be dead, right? Also, why hasn’t his fireman nephew approached him since he “came back from the dead”? - Loved the sassy, no nonsense ER nurse. Hope to see her again. - That restaurant was waaay too yellow. There’s romantic & cozy and then there’s sickly. - To the doctor that wondered how Vincent knew about the damage to Agent Thomas’ heart: he listened with the stethoscope before using his beast sense, so it probably just would have looked like he was thinking. - Who has been paying the rent on Vincent’s house boat? I doubt Catherine’s father has been signing the checks from jail. - How high can Vincent actually jump? Are we talking Superman level jumping here, or did he have to climb most of the way? Do red eyes mean “super beast mode” or just night vision? Cool fight, btw. - Why will he lose his humanity if he kills this guy? He’s killed lots of people. Why is this the one that would make them lose everything? - Kristin looked great. Loved her cute & casual outfit in the last scene. - I wish more was said during the proposal, but it was still sweet. Especially Vincent making sure at the end. “Yes?” “Yes!” Was cute.
