Yippie!!! Finally saw the CW run a commercial for the BATB premier! Been so starved from any promotion that I nearly jumped out of my seat when I saw it! Funny how the littlest thing like that can me so happy. I normally watch the Flash, it's the only other show I watch on the CW. Sadly no BATB commercial during the CW's highest rated show. Decided to record IZombie just to see if they if there might be a promo and what do you know, there it was! It's basically the same Beast of Wall Street promo that we've all seen before, but the music is slightly changed up. Same song, but they've remixed the track a little.

So I watched the commercial again several times and I realize it's been truncated by 10 seconds compared to the video on the internet. They eliminated two scenes with Catherine. The one where she says "it's almost to good to be true" and "we're in this together for a reason, not just for love." ...waiting for our buddy dan to chime in now about how this is further proof the show is all about you know who. LOL.

LOL. It is not a mistery that maybe 95% of viewers are female (don't hate me BeastieBoy) and probably the Network doesn't intend to take more male audience. But I have to say that in S1 V. hasn't got so long on screen time compared to Cat, things changed in S2. I think in S3 there were a lot on screen time even for heather that is related quite exclusively to Cat, so KK fans probably will see their interest in more girly things

so so far we have had a promo shown during reign, TVD and izombie. i know the cw thinks nobody who watches flash or arrow (highest rated shows) would watch batb so maybe that is why they are not showing promo, but actually many beasties i know watch both

I happen to watch both Arrow and Flush and like them. But I guess I am not a devoted fan because I only watch them once and delete them from my dvr and don't bother looking for spoilers or news about the shows.

Yes Ana its a pleasant surprise because except for Reign TVD and iZombie are good rating too , TVD are a popular serie on CW now with its six year + its the old Thursday partner for BATB imho BATB is more acceptable partner for it than Reign ! i never understand why they put Reign with TVD in its first year while they aren't even at the same category ! but put it with it again in the second year while it had average rating in the first one ?! that would always be a mystery for me ! lets see where they will put its third season with 0.3 as a rating in a Thursday night !

Personally I am not even sure what my genre is because I do watch all kinds of shows and I am willing to give any show a chance before deciding whether l like it or not and I think there are more people like that so it wouldn't hurt to advertise even during those shows that may seem to be not in the same category. Though Flash and Arrow are also fantasy and it seems people are more interested in the ships in those shows rather than how well those 2 super heroes throw the arrow or how fast they run. So they are not so different after all.

When I saw the advert for BATB the first time around I recorded it to give it a go more out of curiosity rather than anything else because I had read bad reviews and was not expecting much. I think a few minutes into the pilot I recognised Kristin from smallville and thought it could be good. Anyway it turned out that I liked the pilot and decided to continue watching and before I knew it l was searching the Internet for news on BATB and watching clips. I learned 2 things from this. Promotion makes a difference because that's how I became aware of the show & 2 . Critics don't always know what will appeal to viewers because some of the shows that are critically acclaimed are not that interesting to me personally and all the critics do at the end of the day is to disadvantage some shows right from the start because they would have been painted in bad light and if we are being honest the majority of people are easily influenced by the popular opinion.
