I'm not throwing tomatoes, just posing a bit of a counterpoint to your perspective…  I don't hold Tori as accountable as I hold Gabe. Having said that, I strongly dislike Tori's character because I don't think she has been given much to like by the writers. A little bit of acharacter depth would not have hurt anyone… Playing the damsel in distress, or victim out of becoming a she-beast and acting like Vincent is 'hers' just because they have the beast-on-beast "supposed" connection… how were we supposed to feel about her? Anything less than hate, seems unlikely. She is an antagonist, and as far as I can see, not much more than that…. But it is true, in my eyes, at least that she barely saw Vincent and Catherine as Vincent and Catherine, and as such she may feel she does have a legitimate claim over Vincent… still lowers the character in my eyes, but not as much as Gabe… As for Gabe, at the very least he knew how Catherine and Vincent felt about each other, and as such he is being an opportunistic bastard about the whole situation. He is the farthest thing from the perfect guy the writers are trying to paint him as… the perfect guy does not move in on a woman as emotionally vulnerable and damaged as Catherine, and if he has feelings for her, he at least has the good grace to keep them to himself. Gabe is a shady character, so I do blame him for the way he responds to Catherine. He wants to be the warm body that she falls on. I think he is a little more than a pawn in the mess… My problem with the whole thing, and it is my problem, is that if they were going to "break the bond between Vincent and Catherine" - they are going about it entirely in the wrong way. Being cruel to each other - pushing the outside limits of what is believable - is not the way to accomplish angst. They bastardized their own characters by writing actions and words that are not the slightest bit believable, and then they ask us to trust them in this journey. You don't fall in love with the love of your life, then later try to kill him/her, and then play at a bit of spirited partner swapping. Nobody will ever be able to convince me that this was ever anything more than the typical low brow CW-SOAP-OF-THE-WEEK-Made-for-TV-LOVE-TRIANGLING. They killed two birds with one stone - the problem is that most of us don't believe this storyline is believable… so in an effort to attract the typical teen CW audience, a measure that seems to have failed, they have done what feels very much like irreparable damage to our characters. I mean, at the end of the day, the writing on the wall is the writing on the wall. They were writing bit of Romeo & Julietesque Shakespearean fairytale, and now that has been been desecrated by graffiti. It's not complicated, it's just a kind of mundane. ETA: And for the record, I will be a bit more forgiving when they put the car in reverse and back the heck up out of this mess - and do some fast explaining in the process. I agree with you. On the same page; you just clarified and gave great details! Shall we just call this show "Beauty and the Bed-hopper" or "Bed-hopper1 vs Bed-hopper2" cause it sure will be implied that Cat's going their too. Ugh Gabe needs to die or mysteriously dissapear. Where is the idea of finding out who you are? Is that truly accomplished by throwing yourself at people you don't really know. I mean does V really know T and yet they are already living togther. How much of Gabe's character does C know? Every relationship or character development this season has been rushed and feels forced and for the sake of what? Because TPTB know there won't be a season 3 so they got to fit as many crazy ideas as possible into this one last season?? (Just my speculation). In the process they have created another sill little teen soapie with love triangles destroying characters and screwing up storylines that have so much potential for development. |

Yep, they will go there.  BATB cameraman "roguecam” posted a pic of ep 13 on twitter a while ago, where Cat’s lighting stand-in is lying in bed with another guy, and it looked like Gabes apartment. They both were fully dressed, so again they will shy away from showing an actual sex scene. Gabe needs to be the bad guy, that’s the only way to redeem his season 2 story line. I only hope if it turns out that way after all, it will not be the reason for Cat giving Vincent another chance. But at this moment I’m expecting the worst of the writers. |

But at this moment I’m expecting the worst of the writers. even if , so what ? let him taste his bitter medicine and to know how it is look like to feel you are your beloved second choice or second best ! at lest he once feels he is Cat's ultimate choice and he knows Cat can have a line of good men want her but still choose him over all of them but when Cat feels that way with him ? never ! i don't feel sorry for him at all because its the right he deserve and he brought it all to himself i only feel sorry because he will going to suffer only for one episode ! i agree with your last sentence , in fact i think its a fact now ! |

I have a feeling Vincent is going to step away from Catherine for a while. Not because he doesn't love her, but because he does. Vincent 1.0 is back with all the guilt and worry that he has ruined the lives of the people closest to him.
We will see him pining for her from afar wishing that things were different. He has already admitted to choosing the 'wrong' side. Ep 12 was huge for Vincent. He has got his answer to 'Who Am I?'
Looks like C is resolved (for now) while V is unresolved.

Most probably Vincent will see C with Gabe and believe she is happy so he will try not to interfere and just suffer from distance. That's why I believe JT will have to break the bro-code. If he didn't do it, so Catherine finally learns how V really feel about her, nothing would happen, I'm afraid. And to be honest, I would like that Cat decides to break up with Gabe before she knows that V still loves her (the same we wanted with V and Tori)... We'll find out very soon how all the story develops! |

Pure speculation on my part:
I don't think that Gabe will make Cat's toes curl (we all know the Gabe Cat ship capsizes- runs aground-sinks etc)
I think whoever dies will be a wake up call to VinCat; that we never know when our time is up so bloody well make the best of what we have!!!!!
All I really need now, and what I feel we are long overdue for is a bit of VinCat hanky panky set to an appropriate piece of music.
See it doesn't take much to make me happy
Think this tune would be brilliant. Ladies let your imagination run free...............
