T minus 3 hours until I get to watch Ancestors. I am terrified - do I dare to watch this or is it a train wreck that will break my heart? Advice please . . . Oh, sweetie, just forget that you're seeing BatB. Think that you're seeing TVD and you'll be fine. I'm telling you, I'm waiting Damon Salvatore to enter the door at any minute now to turn Cat into a vampire so they can terrorize Mystic Falls.ROFLMAO!!!!

O.K....shoot me if you want; throw tomatoes, too; but for the first time I am really GLAD that the schedule got moved around and we are going to be on hiatus. The re-writes and the potential for a different time slot are what may save BATB and just might give us a chance for a Season 3. After this last episode, I must admit I do not think I could have handled a full Season 2 of the continued assassination of the characters I so loved. From what I've heard, the plan was to keep on this path the entire season. Nope. I would never have been able to cope with that. It just would not have worked for me, no matter how hard I tried to remain positive and trust. Not sure they can catapult our characters back into each other's arms within only 4 episodes considering the mess they have created. The connection, trust, and "epic" love between Vincent and Catherine may never be believable again. At this point, I do not care so long as I see something that resembles the two characters that made me stay up all night and vote for PCAs and help achieve a Season 2. Wow. I cannot believe I actually said that. How sad!

My sister just called me all excited and thrilled with Ancestors. I kind of mentioned how disappointed I was with Vincent but surprisingly she had a theory as to why Vincent has been acting like this all season.
This is what she said and it's related to the mythology and how it's linked to V and C.
Last season, Reynolds discovered that his daughter is in love with a Beast he helped create. She assumes that Reynolds is aware about the history of the gem and its connection to him and his ancestors. She thinks that C's ancestors and the creature that wore the jeweled shackle are connected in the sense that any Beast who contains the DNA of that creature has a link or bond with Reynolds' family/ancestors. Now when Reynolds discovers that his daughter is in love with a Beast, he kidnaps him and does something to his DNA. He somehow breaks his bond/link with his ancestors and family, including Catherine. It's a procedure so intense that somehow V's DNA just negatively reacts to Catherine or anyone in her family. She thinks that by finding this jewel and the creature that wore it, V may rediscover this broken link to C.
I thought it was interesting actually. V is just having a full-on breakdown, angry and hurt that he doesn't know who he is and who he was. Reynolds did something to the guy that we still don't know the full details of.
Now V and C fell in love but something in C's DNA drew V towards her. Reynolds knows everything about the mythology and V's DNA and has used it to break VinCat apart.
What do you guys think?

What a great idea! Someone in the Can. 210 thread yesterday came up with a similar theory. [I'll have to look it up in the morning] I think we should Network!! Can you tell your sister that I Love Her!!! And keep me posted about more of her views & ideas!

I would love to see the writer's do it that way becuase if done right that could be so special and show that they truly do love ech other and it's their choice too the pull that Vincent mentioned should have been elaborated on more too maybe it will come back now that the mythology is starting and so far enven though we were told that they would show us what Murfield actually did to Vincent in his 3 months away they haven't and maybe they did'nt plan to yet but we all know that they even if they don't want to admit it have had to change their plans and although Reynolds knew about beasts he did'nt know about Vincent until he went after Gabe becuase he told the man who was with him that he wasn't going to let Gabe get away this time so he had obvioulsy been after Gabe for a while, Vincent just happened as they say to be in the wrong place at the wrong time so Reynolds took him instead. Your sister has a very good point about it though maybe she should let the writer's know how to write the episode

Alright, freaking now . . . ok u have not watched the episode the worst thing about vincent today is not kissing of any type and the neck thing was not really a kiss it was part of his plan there are otehr issues wth vincent today cat had 3 kisses and one near kiss lol but only one kiss really annoyed me the last one
Read more: saveeachotherbatb.com/thread/557/season-2-spoilers-speculations-17?page=21#ixzz2qz11TOdVWhat could possibly be worse than watching V kiss the most hated female on planet Earth right now?!? I can't even begin to imagine. That would be enough for me to shout and rant in a post with HUGE, RED letters. My mind is spinning like a tornado . . . Julz trust me BOTH characters stoop to LOW levels IMO mainly cause of the way the last scene was executed and WHERE! LOL I'm not saying anything else BUT I will say it again! and Oh and b...y hell u ll turn her into an alcoholic lol

How sad! yes how sad ?!! i feel like i lost some thing very dear to my heart ! i know it is silly and immature to cry or to whine over a TV show especially when i have a full and good life thanks to God , but i can't help it that i really got involved emotionally with this show since day one like a teenager ! oh those beautiful days ! who can tell i will feel that way after one year !

@clena, I like your sister's theory but partially. Cause then it means that V and C bond is only and exclusively based in DNA.. Don't know...
To be honest, at this point, the only way I think I can buy the reunion of VinCat again is if they make Vincent recover his FULL memories, then feels bad and guilty to the point of suicide but JT stops him from doing so. On the other hand Catherine, after Vincent recovers his memories, figures out she has also behaved so out of herself that she feels shamed of calling herself a grown up and independant and consistent woman. And in her case there is no excuse of loss memories. So JT breaks the bro code and tells C that V tried to commit suicide because all the pain they inflicted each other due to his actions and then C comes back and forgives him and herself for being such ....
Soap opera, true, but at this point I don't see how else they can solve this situation...

I agree Savana and I've always said I don't want the love between VinCat to be DNA related. But my sister's theory is that they're just connected by DNA. This connection doesn't mean that they'll fall in love. But meeting and spending time with each other made them fall in love. I hope that explains it

That's what I also want! but so far not seeing it! Basicly because current Vincent and Catherine are not too lovable, IMO...
