Anyone thought of it being a powerful curse that has followed the lovers through the centuries... Who initiated it? Why? Introduces the possibility of solving together to eliminate it?

i m conflicted with both dna and reincarceration. if it goes under reincarceration it will be like "dracula" tv series if it is dna the whole epic love goes under the toilet. i think its gonna be like the movie "adjustment bearau" which i have seen and i really liked at the time but now do not remember lol

When it comes to Kern that's a possibility seeing that he was a show runner for Charmed I thought about this but thought it'd fall under reincarnation too, like mentioned in the earlier post

LOL me too! I remenber the Lion (sorry if someone loves him )...but I can´t remember anything more! the lion? u mean vincent lol? i was in love with the lion lol - i was really disappointed when i saw what he really looked like No, i do remember the series really well, just can't remember this death destiny thing Ooops should I have put what happened to Catherine in the 80's series as a spoiler?? Just to clarify though, I didn't mean that there was a death destiny thing in the previous series. I actually only watched the pilot and one or two other episodes of that previous incarnation, but for some reason I do remember Hamilton leaving the series probably because it was sort of surprising and maybe a little controversial at that time. As for the reincarnation route, I was thinking that if they go that way, VinCat could find out that their past attempts at being together always ended tragically with one of them dying but they still choose to go forward together and try to change their fate. This would also created some drama as to whether we would have a happy ending or a sad ending. Because it's Beauty and the Beast, some people are saying of course they will end up together is that even a question. But just because the are destined to love each other, doesn't mean they are destined to end up together or have a happy ending -- does it??

Probably just about everything has been done before, the question is wether or not they can come up with a new take on something old and actually surprise us a little. That's what I'm hoping for; a "WOW I wasn't expecting that" moment. We'll soon find out!

It could be a "tragic love story" which in itself might be considered "epic."

Impossible!..and please, no tragic ending; that would be too much for me! I'm not sure if it would not suit them; they have both admitted to wanting all the things that seem completely out of there reach, but you're absolutely right; it can't be conventional. I want them to have what they want, but in there own special and unique Vincat way.

I actually very much do not like the idea that two people are destined to be together. There is nothing more amazing and powerful than love that is chosen - a love that can defy even fate. I don't like, "We're meant to be" or "We're supposed to be together" plots. I like, "Screw everything - I CHOOSE you" plots. Having said that, I would be okay with a something connecting them from childhood. However, the problem with that is that Vincent is like 2397439284 years older than Cat. J/K No seriously, he would be around a decade older than her, kind of buzz-killing a cute, childhood connection for me. I honestly can't think of a "destined" plot that will satisfy me. I don't want them together b/c of past or destiny or b/c they write it into the script and the words are said to me. I want to be shown. I want to be wooed, as a viewer, a fan, a shipper. I want romance in their gazes and slightest touches. I want them to set the screen on fire and not with gratuitous sex scenes either. I want them to let the actors soar in their roles and cheesetastic destiny lines ain't the way to do that. P.S. Awesome poll btw!
