Discuss "Pilot" here! CW official description:
A RE-IMAGINING OF THE CLASSIC TALE — When she was a teenager, Catherine “Cat” Chandler (Kristin Kreuk, “Smallville”) witnessed the murder of her mother. Cat would have been killed too, but someone – or something – saved her. Now, years have passed and Cat is a police officer, investigating a case that leads her to the person who saved her: a doctor named Vincent Keller (Jay Ryan, “Terra Nova”). With the help of his childhood friend J.T. Forbes (Austin Basis, “Life Unexpected”), Vincent has been in hiding, guarding his secret — when enraged, he becomes a terrifying beast, unable to control his super strength. Still, Cat is touched by the person that lives within the Beast and she knows she has to keep her relationship with Vincent a secret from her boss, Joe Bishop (Brian White, “The Shield”), her partner, Tess Vargas (Nina Lisandrello, “Nurse Jackie”), and even from her close friend, Evan Marks (Max Brown, “The Tudors”), the medical examiner. Cat and Vincent are powerfully drawn to one another, but they understand that their connection is extremely dangerous for both of them. Gary Fleder directed the episode written by Sherri Cooper & Jennifer Levin.Promotional Stills Reviews:TV FanaticDe Of GeekSFX

Yeah I know they only put a certain # of eps up at a time, but the pilot should stay up all season for any newcomers.

During one of many rewatches last night I finally noticed the little whispered "okay" that Vincent says when Catherine is telling him to show himself or else. You have to turn up the volume but it's there and it's sweet, well to me anyway ahh!!

i dont think people really try to coordinate the episodes, they sometimes feel all over the place!

Arrow has first 2 shows on On Demand. but 6 7 8 and 9 on hulu. so it does not make sense according to the schedule the episode this week will be Worth (1x06), next week it's Bridesmaid Up! which really makes sense EDIT: BATB was on yesterday (Monday) no other episode will be on this week. next episode is on Friday (18th). btw can I just say that I hate Vincent's hair in this episode? I'm so glad they changed it up in 1x02 and beyond. way sexier

You know in the Pilot, I didn't see the chemistry between Vincent and Catherine at all. As a matter of fact, I didn't like the Pilot. I was not hooked on the show. I didn't watch the next three episodes. Then I think I watched episode four and found this site and then I got interested.

I don't love the pilot, but the chemistry between Vincent and Catherine and the pacing of their scenes was the ONLY thing I loved, and what started drawing me in. The pilot was rapid-fire jibber jabber, trying to cram a whole procedural and set up all these characters, so when Vincat had a scene, for me, it just really brought heart to the ep and set it up. Kristin definitely takes care with her lines--she always has--it really helps set a nice tone for a scene, especially when someone responds to it, like Jay or Tom Welling or Michael Rosenbaum.

I agree that the pilot was rapid-fire. I liked that it was not going to dwell too long on the beginnings. They probably figured most of us knew about the original. But I didn't see the chemistry. Not like Fitz and Olivia on "Scandal". Oh man, one look at them. Everyone knew. I mean you didn't have to like the show but everyone agreed instantly that there was chemistry there. There is infidelity involved yet everyone is so into that couple.
It's taken me a while for Vincent and Catherine to grow on me.
And WITHOUT A KISS even longer. ;D

When you rewatch the pilot, it really is an awesome episode. I especially loved Kristin's fight scene. And I loved the scene towards the end when Cat goes to see Vincent and tells him he's not a monster & that he saved 6 lives. Vincent seemed touch by that comment. His voice when you listen to it with headphones...OMG it just sounds so nice to listen to. That scene is when I felt the chemistry between them.

I agree the pilot is better in repeated viewings. It was too much info to swallow as a pilot. It was the info of like 2 eps really! Which makes it a weak pilot to draw people in, but not at all terrible.
