I don't know why everyone keeps saying it feels like a soap opera. It doesn't to me. Cat wasn't really hopping beds. Vincent and her broke up and then she gave Gabe a chance. I am very glad I did not see a sex scene. We should be happy that they we're3 only really apart for what 3 episodes. Ok there was no kissing in more then 3 but even though they we're still apart to me it felt like I didn't need them to kiss to be happy just to have some emotional scenes with them was enough. But back to my point they weren't apart that long. I have watched shows where I waited 2 seasons for the couple I was rooting for to get back together so Ill take this over waiting for 2 years.

It's not double standards really. Gabe was just someone she worked with who betrayed her in so many ways but Vincent is the man she loves. And all of us who have been in love know that when you love someone you forgive. Yes Vincent has done some awful things but even in our eyes Vincent is more redeemable then Gabe. And Gabe only did all those things to get on Catherine's good graces cause he had feelings for her and knew once Vincent was out of the picture he could be there for her to pick up the pieces. All we knew of Gabe last season was he was evil and well Vincent was kind sweet loving care and the list goes on. So it is much easier for us all to forgive Vincent cause we know he has a good heart.
I accept that and don't get me wrong I am 100% pro Vincent. Well, that's not surprising. I just don't hate Gabe blindly just because he is Gabe. I do understand his actions and the way he acts. He did all those things because he fell in love with Catherine. Alternative motive? Um... no. As a bad guy he thought that was the right behaviour, it's in his nature. It is not his fault Catherine chose Vincent. So if he goes against Vincent and Catherine I would understand that too. BUT that is his purpose as a character, another obstacle in Vincent and Catherine's relationship. I don't hate Gabe either; he's fighting a losing battle. Well he already lost but we know that wont stop him. And he knew it too that was the only reason he showed up at Vincent's apartment in 2x15 cause he knew Catherine was softening up to him and manipulating Vincent was his last chance to hold onto her. His future actions will determine whether he is a good guy or bad guy. But other then Cat, Gabe doesn't really have a storyline, he did last yr but not this yr. I highly doubt he was the one responsible for Vincent's arrest. They just made him say those things to make us think it was him but really it wasn't. Time will tell

omg i love this picture!!! He looks so tired on the last one maybe always in run... and Catherine worried. he looks to have an almost tortured face. some of these pics have me worried lol but then when I think about it and re watch the last few episodes I realized that I don't think he will try to push her away after all he did to try to win her back plus isn't he the one who said in the last episode that they r better together then apart.

Can someone enlighten me please? How exactly is Gabe's fault Catherine and Vincent's separation? He wanted Vincent's dna... that is all. Reynolds was the one behind capturing Vincent and turning him into a killing machine in season 2. Gabe has nothing to do with it. Or I must have watched another show. Or did I miss something? I think they meant more like since Tori died hes the reason why they weren't together earlier.

I need to add just a few minor observations. Why is that some have double standards when looking at what Vincent has done and what Gabe has done? We can forgive Vincent for killing and hurting others but can not forgive Gabe? (and as this is a sci-fi I don't expect anyone to behave normally) As Vincent wanted to change and redeem himself in Catherine's eyes Gabe wanted to do the same. The other thing I don't really understand as why do we call this show a soap opera with love triangles? THAT part is like 10% of the show. So many thing is happening in the show besides who sleeps with whom...

Okay the first two Catherine is talking to a wounded Vincent. ..seems he's on the ground. The other one is Tess and the one that Reyna just posted is obviously an argument hence the look on Catherine face. the last pic looks more like she is reassuring him of something then a fight. Looks to me like she has worry written all over her face.

Oh WOW. I see some of you didn't like season 2 at all. I only started watchinc BATB 2 months ago when it was already on hiatus and watched the whole two seasons in 2 days. So maybe that's why I feel differently, Im sure if I was invested in the show and watched the show week after week like you guys maybe then I'd feel the same. But I have to say I did enjoy season 2, yes I may not have liked the whole Tori storyline but I for one am glad we never saw them sleep together or seen them kiss after that original kiss.
The thing is shows need to do this kind of things, one for the characters to grow and change. They need angst that's what makes people watch. I feel there was more angst in season 1 then in season 2. I guess also I didn't mind it so much cuz even though they we're broken up, they still had scenes together and in the scenes they had together or separate I could still see them care for each other, more on Vincent's part like when he walked in on Cat kissing Patrick, and with the JT scene afterwards and then even in Hostages with Vincent scenes with Gabe and in the end end of the epi with VinCat. I know a lot of people feel like the only reason why Vincent started fighting for Cat was cuz Tori died and she told him he belongs with Cat. But even before Tori died the whole episode you could see Vincent still had feelings for Cat for gods sakes even Tori knew it. And when Vincent was confronted with it by Tori he couldn't deny it. I don't know I really don't think the season was bad at all. I do admit watching season 1 again and then season 2 again it feels like its a different show and to be honest I don't even know which season I like better. Season 1 everyone just wanted them to kiss already and be together but in season 2 at least we have had them together on and off but they have more or less have been together from epi 1. We didn't have to wait 16 episode before they kissed again. I might be the only one who feels this way, but they did have to go more into the darker side of being a beast, and so that Vincent can know both sides of it. I did find it stupid that the epi Tori died is the episode that Cat choose to be with Gabe but they couldn't just make Vincent try to get her back right then and there cuz we'd be back to season 1 and the whole being second choice thing. And like the writers said she needed to explore the possibility of being with someone who isn't a beast, whos father approves of, who has money and so on. They rushed it all a bit but that's cuz they didn't know if season 3 was possible and I think they wanted to end the season 2 with a happily ever after thing. But look at the bright side the writers did say that when they come back together they will be stronger then ever. And season 3 will be about who they r together so we know they wont tear them apart. Last thing Ill say is I feel Catherine needed this time to find out who SHE is. Cuz last yr was all about Vincent... But This year is still all about Vincent and will continue so until next year.Brad Kern already made it very clear that's the character he most interested in.Cat have no storyline that isnt dedicated to all about Vincent, even when they seperated. This show is not about her mostly, its about writers's favorite,Vincent.yay!
I don't necessarily agree with you on that. Yes last year was all about Vincent. But not this year really. Cat did have her own storyline in a way with her father and so did Vincent but then those two storylines became one. And now they are going to go into the mythology of why they are destined. But theres a big factor with her greant aunt. I think it feels like she doesn't have a storyline because her storyline brings her back to Vincent's storyline. But that's just a way to show that they are destined. If you look closely Catherine has had storylines that one didn't necessarily involve Vincent; in the beginning at least. Like finding out her father wasn't who she thought he was. And then now finding out about her great aunt and that gem. The only reason why it seems like its Vincent storyline is because the gem controlled beasts which obviously involves Vincent.

The CW
The CW has already made the decisions on their top performers, handing renewals to Arrow, Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries, Reign and The Originals. The network has yet to cancel a single series this season and with a decent amount of ratings and VOD data on the remaining bubble series (Beauty & The Beast, The 100, Star-Crossed, Hart of Dixie and The Carrie Diaries), drama development will be key in any renewal decisions. At this point the only show guaranteed a renewal is The 100. I’m told that The Carrie Diaries, The Tomorrow People and Star-Crossed are set to be cancelled. Things are hazier for Beauty & The Beast and Hart of Dixie. The ratings for both have been soft and I’m now hearing only one will be renewed, especially as buzz has been strong on iZombie, Flash and the Supernatural spin-off. It’s going to be a tough call, but I’m told that Beauty & The Beast has the edge and will earn the renewal.
