Gosh Sendhil had his bad a game! I can't even describe Gabe... I was particularly shocked seeing when he hurt Cat. Yeah I know she just called him a word I can't type in this forum probably lol...But yeah even in that end scene his like, you think there's still a chance with Cat? I know that was more him saying that to rev Vincent up but he completely lost it! Like his motive was to be with Cat...but then what he does in that episode :/ Well, I think he knew he was a lost cause from the starter. Anyway credit to Sendhil. You could tell he enjoyed it with his evil smile, trying to rev up Vincent...Definitely alot worse a character than s1 finale. Quite tragic how it all played out. I thought that was a little out of character from Gabe, his entire madness is based on the fact the he wants to protect her, he wouldn't hurt her.. he was indeed weird the hole episode..The sequence scene when Cat is dropping Vincent's blood and she has the flashbacks of what happened to Alistair was fantastic! my favorite scene of the hole episode, so well done.. (And I love the look on Vincent's face when he saw the gem)This episode had closure on everything, everything! Gabe, Daddy Reynolds "supporting" Vincat, JT and Tess relationship, VinCat together and with a future.. It was a happily ever after ending they clearly didn't know about the renewal yet, and for the next season it almost seems like they'll start from scratch again only this time most people do want to forget season 2.. we'll just have to wait and see. - I agree with you. I liked Gabe's outcome, and I agree with Cat's words ("I think he really tried", or something like that). I believe that it felt weird during the hole episode because he turned evil-evil in just a few hours! That is why it felt very unreal. - And I also loved Vincent's words about the gem when Catherine opened the door. I really loved that scene: from the contrast with Rebecca finding the cell empty and Catherine finding Vincent was still there to V's expression when Cat was asking for forgiveness with that face!

Have not seen the episode but from what a read on here it seems like alot was crammed into 40 minutes. The Rebecca and Alistair story sounds very interesting and I feel like the writers should have been playing that story out over the course of a few episodes not one. These last 6 episodes have been great and it upsets me that the writers wasted the majority of the season on pointless love triangles and storylines. I hope the writers have finally realized that the reason us beasties watch this show is because of the love story between Vincent and Cat. The mythology, JT,Tess, and Heather are nice bonuses and are important to the show too but VinCat is the heart of the show. I didn't watch the whole middle part of the season because VinCat weren't together and hardly had any screen time together. That was a very dumb move by the writers in my opinion and it almost cost them another season. So hopefully they have learned their lesson and there will be no more love interests for Vincent or Cat except eachother. This isnt a show like Arrow or Smallvile where the mythology is the big draw, with BATB the love story is what draws people in. So please no more Alex, Tori, or Gabes because it doesn't work and just turns viewers away! I just finished watching and this is exactly what I thought! There was SO MUCH good stuff (flashbacks, Vincat ad-lib and heart-to-hearts, great fight scenes and drama with JT ) that I felt there was too much to cram into one episode. I wish they had spent four or five episodes dealing with this arc with Gabe as a proper 'big bad', Catherine exploring her ancestry and Vincat figuring out how they were destined. That way Gabe and Biodad's transformations might have felt less rushed, we could have been in real suspense over JT's future, had even more fight scenes and we could have got knee deep into the mythology element. I too felt like that these sorts of story lines should have formed the bulk of season 2 after ep 4. Retrospectively it just feels like there was so much potential there that wasn't tapped into and instead we had to deal with the whole Tori arc. Overall, I thought it was the best episode of the season but the writers could have milked the story lines - less is more sometimes after all. Also, rather predictably, I was missing a hot, steamy Vincat scene which we haven't had for the rest of the season. As ever, KK and JR made this for me... Their chemistry as Rebecca and Alistair as well as Vincat is breathtaking I SOOO agree with both of you! I also think that they could have taken some directions that would have made much more sense and left apart others that had the fans going like I have mixed feelings about s2 because of this. There are things (bio-dad, Gabe's transformation, JT, Tess, mythology, Vincent's family, etc.) that I would have found WAY much more interesting than the ones we all know about. I would have actually (and I am sure I am about to get ) liked that Vincent and Cat were not back together such in a rush, that they had had to figure things out about each other a la s1... all the stares, the tension, the not being sure about the other's feelings... that kept me completely trapped during the first season. I mean, they were apart anyway, why not making it a little bit longer than ep 12 -when Gabe and Tori were still in the picture, anyway? However, as I said in previous posts, I like better s2 writting. I liked better s1 VinCat, but the way s2 was written is much better in terms of quality. That said, I hope Kern and Co. have learned what the audience likes and doesn't, and act -and write- in consequence.

Yea i have read Brad's interviews and I hope they stick to that thought process. They also said that Tori wasn't gonna be like another Alex but she not only turned out to be like another Alex she was worse lol. I do think that the writers have finally gotten it now and understand what the fans wants. To a better season next year! When it comes to Tori not be the next Alex, I do have to say I don't find she was. Vincent chose Alex over Cat, and what she could to for him and blah blah blah, he had a past with her. They we're engaged it was a bit different then Tori. He never chose Tori over Cat, he chose beast over her. He never card for Tori the way he cared for Alex, she was never even remotely competition for Cat; she was just another beast who was in the picture for barely a second. I see the Tori and Alex story lines completely separate. Alex was more of a pain in the ass for me then Tori was. Mmmmm...! Maybe Alex was more of a pain in the ass in the sense that she could potentially mean something to Vincent in terms of feelings, whereas Tori ( ) was more of a "experiencing the dark side". I dealt better with Alex rather than with Tori. From my perspective, Alex had more "rights" over V than redhead #2, because they were engaged and all that, and she wa sweet, and naïve and had no clue of anything. However, Tori ( ) was an arc we had to swallow thinking they had a fraternal relationship, more like mentor-student-ish and next thing we knew was that they both wore robes in the middle of the night. That said, I must also admit that in Spain they released 3 eps on the same night, so I saw Alex only for 1 day, not for 3 weeks. That must feel very different. AND I knew VinCat were eventually kissing, so probably that helped too.

After my 3rd time watching this ep (which, by the way, I LOVED), I have some questions that maybe have already been asked and answered, but I would really appreciate some input because sometimes I get lost in translation...
- Where did Gabe get the serum from if he is not related to those guys? - Was Vincent hearing the agents' heartbeats when they got in his cell and said agent Knox was sending them? Meaning, did he feel that they were saying the truth? - Also, did they let him free because he was going to kill Gabe and that was one of their goals?
- And finally, although this is not a question-question... What if Cat's fate is, as Gabe said, killing a beast but that beast is actually Gabe?? Mmmm!!
By the way, I am staying spoiler free... and I am loving it!

Thanks for the review anapi -season3baby :)!!! I love these girls too. I loved this line: "This is the first time these two have ever lived together and they are just blowing it. It should be all baths, showers, bedtime and movie watching." I soooooo agree! Some heart to heart conversation instead of case of the week wouldn't have hurt, IMO. It has been obviated that they both were in a relationship with other people ( ) and it has been fixed with an "I love you / I love you too", a kiss and some bedtime. I am missing some sincere conversation here. Oh well... I also like these ladies: Finally, Savana_ Dying for season3!, did you notice the tray with bread, garlic and tomatoes on the kitchen table for breakfast?? Pà amb tomàquet!

Hi alwayscrazed, I also wondered if Gabe was beasting out again. I got the feeling that he didn't quite plan to kill the witness but just threaten and scare him into retracting his statement. I thought Gabe looked surprised when he couldn't control his actions and that he seemed frightened and surprised (he thought he had been cured) that he was reverting back to beastly ways. I thought it was a return to beast-Gabe as in what he was most of his life. However, I am the worst at guessing this kind of thing and am usually wrong lol I agree, Gabe did not have the intention to kill the witness, just to scare him, but he lost control exactly when he realized he could not control the situation. In my opinion, the writers' will is to make us realize that someone does not need to have a "damaged" in order to become a beast. It goes beyond that...

Oh! I found a very small and tiny "plot hole" which probably it is not... LOL Ok, I'll explain myself. When C and V are looking for murders committed by Gabe, Catherine says that they can place him at the scene of the crime of Ray Sheckman but actually they CAN'T!! C and V didn't cross with Gabe in that museum! Evan did! BUT, I remember seeing a pic of Catherine grabbing Gabe's arm at the museum, probably confused cause she thought it was V. So MAYBE there was a deleted scene where C meets Gabe at the museum. In that case, there is no plot hole in this ep! LOl this is crazy... I hope I explained myself good enough!!! You did explain yourself! A couple of things about it: - I think there is even a bigger plot hole regarding the driver's death... they never suspected of Gabe before, how did they know that he had an alibi? And what was it?
- Even if C and V didn't cross with Gabe in that museum (which they didn't do, you are right!), she did mention that both of them had been in that ball last year in "About last night".

www.thefutoncritic.com/ratings/2014/06/17/mondays-broadcast-ratings-masterchef-powers-fox-to-top-spot-in-viewers-demos-394405/broadcast_20140616/Some extra initial numbers from Futon Critic. W18-34 rating and the viewers are rounded to 3 decimal places instead of 2. And finally, The CW (1.293 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #5) closed out the evening with a new "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (1.732 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.5, #13), a repeat "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (1.814 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.6, #12) and a new "Beauty and the Beast" (0.813 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.3, #14). In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), "Whose Line" posted a 0.4 rating at 8:00/7:00c and 0.4 rating at 8:30/7:30c while "Beast" managed a 0.2 rating. Or to make it simple: WLIIA (new episode): 1.732 Million Viewers 0.5 A18-49 Demo 0.4 W18-34 Demo WLIIA (repeated episode): 1.814 Million Viewers 0.6 A18-49 Demo 0.4 W18-34 Demo BATB: 0.813 Million viewers 0.3 A18-49 Demo 0.2 W18-34 Demo ...and I am guessing this is not good. I officially don't get it. It was a great ep.

Hello beasties! Long time with no writing, but this is being a crazy end of the school year! Well, as every end of the school year... I did not have time to go over all your thoughts and reviews, I will try to do so on the coming days. I am staying spoiler free , not too difficult since I don't have time even for spoilers! But I am a faithful beastie, so here I am. I liked this episode. Granted, it was not romantic, VinCat moments were not too intense, no awesome JT around and Heather had to deal with "the secret". However, I think the story that the writers wanted to tell was very well written. I liked how they brought Sheckman's case, and how Vincent and Cat worked together against the clock. Flashbacks and track moments were really well done, specially at the end, when Gabe looks at himself at the mirror and is finally aware of his beast inside. I am wondering now what is going to happen with Captain (?) and Tess, since Gabe must know that they know he was recognized by the poor witness... Well, I will try to go over all your comments tomorrow night, once US beasties have seen it too. Have a nice night/evening.

Well, before doing a proper review / pointing facts, I have a few questions here... - First, this thread went from 16 to 104 pages in... minutes!!! (not a question, just a fact!). - I can not go over all those pages to finde anapi -season3baby :)'s review... could someone send me a link, please? Everybody says it is great, and i love great reviews!! - Again... where did the 'like' button go? I liked the 'like' button, it was very useful... - "Stop JTing me!" ...didn't you love that??? - Vincent said it was the FOURTH time he handcuffed Cat, right? ? Ok, I need to rewatch this at some point tomorrow. As my Spanish mate Savana_ Dying for season3! pointed, very, VERY intense day over here. Time for bed! Enjoy, USA beasties!!! P.D.: I stayed spoiler free!!! {Moderator Note: This post has been moved from the spoiler thread into the early viewer thread due to content in the post pertaining to the episode specifically.}

I also liked Tess having her own story, even if it was with Joe. It is something I miss in s2... cause I cannot buy that JT's romance thingy...
