The only thing I loved about this episode was the beginning and the end scene. It is touhg sitting through the middle LOL...Until this day I still cringe and twitch when I see this and On Thin Ice LOL I admit the ending is one of the most angsty moments in BATB history to me. Oh yolie I so disagree. I think the Alex arc was very important and yes it should have been resolved differently but IMO was essential. Will elaborate later

Been a while since I saw this episode. I never like love triangles, but I understand Alex arc in history, and why did it show up, remind us that Vincent had a past, a life before being a Beast. The writers should have used Alex's story to make us feel Vincent's love for Catherine is so important to him that although he yearn much to be a doctor and his former life, it doesn't matter now because he has her. But ... As usual, when we speak about triangles in BATB, the idea is good but it is not well written, imo. I think it was well written rill a certain point but then they messed up in terms of how it was resolved

Will elaborate later I'm not saying it isn't essential my issue is that they made her clingy, annoying and reckless, and this is suppose to be an educated woman. She just rubbed me the wrong way. Then trying to make her goody goody with a heart of gold LOL I just can't! I know it was important as important as Tori's role was in season 2, and AGAIN with Tori they failed to do the same thing! Don't they learn from their mistakes?? LOL

Yes Alex was annoying but that didn't bother me much. To me that was not issue or the point of the arc though I can totally see why u found her difficult to watch

The end of this episode is so heartbreaking. From the moment when Cat shows him the photo she took, because she wished she had known him then and him telling her, that he is not completely gone And then, when Vincent tells Catherine that he is the ultimate bad boy and that he thinks it is convenient for her that their relationship is complicated. God, that's so sad... I can't help but yell at my computer everytime I watch this scene This scene and the car accident, when he tried desperately to turn back to save her and couldn't... these two scenes are BATB to me... that's what got me hooked

This ep has some difficulties but I think V was surprised and multitude of memories ignite his senses and he doesn't understand that Alex tells him she is still in love with him. He clearly do not know what to do. The last scene was heartbreaking. V is still very insecure about Cat. He Lied to Alex about Cat and to Cat about Alex with his insecure he doesn't know how to handle the whole mess and he don't want to hurt both. After all at the end of the day V went to Cat you can See that he lovers her in the way he looks at her. He does know her Paters and See that she will run. He can't make Cat see that they can move forward, she has to see that on her own. Before Cat knew about Alex she wants to be with V but than Alex comes along and Cat Runs because she is afraid. When V blaming Cat for not moving forward he shows how vulnerable he is. For me it was more him pleadind to give them a Chance. The tears in V eyes and the eyes of Cat it's chemistry"..

I know it was important as important as Tori's role was in season 2, and AGAIN with Tori they failed to do the same thing! Don't they learn from their mistakes?? LOL Had to seriously laugh at that!!! Still laughing, and I needed that after the hard week.
Ok I tend to agree here ; Alex very soon appeared insistent, pushy, and a bit silly. He didn't ask for anything, please leave him alone!!! And it's true that she lacks of clairvoyance very often...ok she was not in the "beast" secret, but to be at the same time that naive and that insistent, she did annoy me. And I'm not even talking of the epitome of her "good behavior (because it's not yet in this episode) when she told Catherine didn't want him to be saved and kept him from being saved. Aggggggggggh
So yeah maybe important to the story character, but nevertheless hard to watch without wanting to get rid of her, and the sooner the better.

This episode has few funny moment to contrast the heavyness of dialogs and situstions: the mutation of clownfish from male to female (JT saying to V that he would be a very ugly chick makes me laughing a lot), and the dialogs beetwen Cat and Heather with the reference to Gray's Anatomy and Cat saying that she would remain here to stand the wall. In this scene i love how V arrives and takes Cat inside the rest room to talk to her: he was a little bit rude but sexy. I'm not annoyed by Alex in this episode: she was deeply in love with V. and her behaviour shows that she act moved by her heart and not by her mind like Cat. V is not self confident with the possibility to start a new "normal" life with a woman and the insecurity of Cat doesn't help him. Alex with her spontaneous kiss makes him sure that somebody can love him again (don't mention that this was the first love kiss he has received in ten years so mixed with his past feelings for Alex result a perfect combination for driving him to Alex)

I think I can more understand indeed why Vincent would be tempted to forget about what's happened to him, and why he would feel reassured by the enthousiam of Alex, somehow it could be conforting for him. I agree. But how can she jump at him like that, after so many years and behave like nothing has changed. That's what was annoying. He was certainly perplexed to see her again, and it was like he was back in his normal past. But that is not enough, for me he didn't give her any sign or reason to be that insistent.

Didn't know about TvRepublik... As soon as I have more time I'll check their reviews. Do they comment on all tv shows and all episodes? Clicked on 1st link...seemed like a detailed review for one episode

I liked this arc. I loved getting a sense of who Vincent was before his life was turned upside down. (I can totally see Vincent as d so see him as a doctor. I understood why Alex was so in love with him, and he would have been a great father!) I thought Vincent's conflict was realistic. Did he do some dumb things? Absolutely. Could the arc have been presented better? For sure. But I never felt that Vincent had let go of Catherine emotionally. And I never thought Alex had a snowball's chance in hell of winning Vincent's heart again. That is all. My only off topic question is why are they airing BATB at 8 pm instead of 9?
