I guess I get the theory behind why they won't do more interviews and promotion. The show has to make money, and they don't expect to get more viewers in when a show is starting its third season. Still, shows HAVE become huge hits that were almost cancelled. It is a rarity but not impossible. Look at the "X-Files." It was to be cancelled after the first season due to such low ratings and ended up being saved at the last second. Then it went on to be a huge hit. They are even in supposed negotiations to maybe bring the series back for a limited-type season (can't say it will happen, but they figure the fanbase is still there, even after all these years). And "The Big Bang Theory" really didn't become a super hit until it hit syndication and so many people discovered it there. So now it is a megahit. And "Family Guy" was cancelled for YEARS before it came out on DVD, became the number one selling collection, and then got un-cancelled. So the right kind of buzz CAN make a show a hit, even after initially doing poorly.
I really wish that the CW would make a final go at getting new viewers. They could do a marathon showing of best episodes or something prior to Season 3 starting. I still feel like there ARE new viewers discovering the show as a result of watching the show from the beginning. I am hoping that Season 3 is well-written and not all over the place and seeking direction like the first 2 seasons appeared to be to many viewers that jumped ship. While I'm in it entirely for the romance, many viewers like an ongoing plotline and slow burn reveal (think "The Blacklist"). A well-done conspiracy plotline could mean everything to the show as it would also give an excuse to amp up the romance factor (I mean, hey, if your character is likely to be killed tomorrow, said character ends up living like there is no tomorrow, so extra VinCat romance all-around, I say!). A slow burn reveal of just WHO is behind the conspiracy would also increase the tension factor for the viewer and make you want to keep tuning in.
I still think that we are at a critical juncture where the show could end up being a sleeper hit if it finally hit that balance of plot and romance AND got some publicity and/or a marathon viewing. Wonder how we will do on Thursday nights in the summer. THAT kind of scheduling will help factor in as well. At least we weren't put on Fridays!

Exactly it's never to late to get into a show even if it's coming into it's third season but unless it's promoted to some level then how are people going to know about it. I didn't mind the Midfield plot in season 2 what I didn't like was the extreme change that BKern and Co did especially with Vincat I was all for giving them struggles as obviously Vincent gone for 3 months was going to be a big adjustment for him, JT and Cat when they found him and them all dealing with his changes but the nastiness, coldness and brutally of what they did to Vincat for me was uncalled for, as was the pairings of T and G with our two leads.
I saw this spoiler today in spoilertv , there is almost nothing new except for the introduction of new beast ( i didn't read it before ) but of course it is expected --- but i don't know i was hoping to just have our beast this season to be more close to the fairy tale ( beauty and the beast ) just the story of one beauty with her one beast ! there is no need to turn it to Supernatural and have an army of beasts or super creatures ! --- but i will keep my mind open till we watch the season then i can make a fair opinion !
Beauty and the Beast While the next season of Beauty and the Beast isn't scheduled to air for quite some time we do have some juicy scoop to share. Season 3 will see the introduction of a new beast and the reappearance of the gem. While our five main characters will experience happiness, they will also have their share of loss and devastation. Someone will be attacked, another will be shot and one of the main characters will be left on the brink of death.
Also for those in the u.s. can u let us know if they advertise it during flash tvd and other shows the two weeks leading to the premiere? I suspect they won't bother
I will do my best to keep you guys informed. Don't watch the CW at all except for BATB but will turn in here and there to see what going on but I have a feeling you will be correct we "won't see much promo from CW" for out beloved show BATB.
