OK I do lots of stuff to get through this horrible hiatus a) I visit this forum very often every day b) I go on twitter etc and check for spoilers and in a facebook private thread c) I watch old episodes or bits of them d) I edit videos though I have not done one since early December and will probably wait till March before I do another one e) I watch others shows I recently watched chuck and orange is the new black and started watching Sons of Anarchy (finished season 1 already)f) most importantly i speak to my beastiebuddies very often (close friends i made through this forum actually) and who I think are now friends for life even though all over the worldwhat I don't do i dont read fanfic cause I dont enjoy it much i dont watch interviews as much because it is very painful for me knowing that we probably wont see jay or kristin again in interviews together or individually for batb that's all - i think Seems we have the same taste, though I haven't watched Chuck. I'm already in the middle of season 4 of SOA. Want to check out Banshee when finished SOA. Yes this Beastiefanmily is amazing! You think they won't be doing promotion interviews for S3? SDCC would be perfect in terms of timing don't you think?

Corinne,
Please know that my comment on the poll was meant to be taken in jest. I certainly love the poll! I was just commenting that so many of us Beasties are so desperate for our show that we are literally doing ALL of the list. I really do get that the poll is asking which of the things we turn to the most. (However, my little Beastie self just needs all of the list to cope.)
Bookworm,
I am right there with ya! SERIOUSLY! The only way I can think to compare the way I feel about the loss of BATB (at least it is temporary. sigh.) is when my only friend in school moved away after the first grade. She had been my best (and only) friend, and we had done everything together. I was in a small private school, so I had to go without friends for many years as well as being bullied. I admit to feeling that same lost and lonely and kicked down feeling--they have made me love these characters so, and it is like suddenly being deprived of my favorite friends and my one thing to look forward to in the week! (Probably doesn't help that my father ended up in the hospital the day after Christmas and in need of surgery to prevent the heart attack that had started. Then my aunt ended up in the hospital as well. And all this while without my ONE form of escapism!) I really do think I am suffering from what should be clinically defined as Severe BATB Hiatus Syndrome. I was always a "bookworm" myself in school, and books and the rare tv show have always been the things that turn my little ordinary life into extraordinary.
So I get it. Really. You are NOT alone. So accept this hug from across the internet. I, too, am battling depression over this. I KNOW it is just a tv show, but this Little Show That Could really DOES give me that perfect form of escapism that really makes it worthwhile and gets my imagination going. I can't even really get into other new tv shows right now due to missing BATB so much. It really IS like my best friend has gone away again. When I heard the show was not expected to come back until the summer, I admit that I spent a couple days in stupefied grief. I'm lost and struggling right now, but I KNOW we will at least get the show back by summer, if not before then. And even if Season 3 IS only 13 episodes, that is better than most British shows or Downton Abbey that only have 6 to 8 episodes for a WHOLE YEAR!
And I LOVE "Moonlight" as well. And no WONDER you love this show: the executive producer and creator of "Moonlight" is Ron Koslow, the creator and executive producer of BOTH BATB series.
Bookworm, since you are in the same situation as me, might I suggest the following tv shows when you have completed the Nancy Holder book (by the by, not sure HOW to feel about the book. It was an okay read, but I felt it really was trying to explain the whole Tori thing. And I rather adamantly oppose the kind of portrayal of Tori that comes across in the book. Just my two cents worth. But I DID think the actual case and some of the VinCat interaction was good, all things considered. I plan to support BATB in any way that I can, so I plan to get the next book as well when it comes out.)
At any rate, for Bookworm and anyone else in DESPERATE need of feeling that same kind of romantic love between the leads and desperate struggles to be together, may I suggest the following tv shows:
I recently watched "Dark Angel" after I heard someone say that Muirfield was like Manticore from "Dark Angel." In that show, as well, the main lead (in this case, female) was a genetically-engineered super soldier that is trying to hide from the government agency, Manticore. The super soldier, Max, escaped with 12 others, and she has avoided putting down roots for so many years due to fear of exposure. She finally falls for Logan, a rich guy that is secretly running Eyes Only, a brief show that broadcasts the truth about government corruption and conspiracy and crime. You should give this show a try. Like BATB, it struggled to find its direction. Like BATB, it tried to re-invent itself in the second year AND introduce stupid love triangles which, in the case of that show, caused it to fail. In real life, the main leads did fall in love and got engaged for a time and were living together during Season 2. So the chemistry between THOSE two is not at all fake! "Dark Angel" is currently being re-aired on El Rey network--they just did a marathon last weekend of EVERY single episode from the 2 seasons in order. It was great and one of the reasons why I was absent from the forum for much of the weekend.
I am also planning to re-watch "Roswell." That, too, had a star-crossed couple that had to do anything and everything to protect one another after the alien guy saved the human girl's life because he had loved her since they were small children. Again, this show had elements that drew me to BATB--the "pull" between the couple no matter the challenges and threats of exposure that life throws at them. The "Roswell" series was also loosely based on a set of books that are actually quite enjoyable and worth the read.
I hope that some of you will watch the above series (and I include "Moonlight" in there as well!). I figure that I will kill time during this hiatus by opening up a couple of threads in the Episodes sections comparing the various shows and episodes with BATB and what worked and didn't for both shows. At least THAT will get me thinking about what I love about BATB, something that is ALWAYS enjoyable.
So hugs to all my fellow Beasties suffering through this Hiatus! You REALLY are not alone!!

Tenshi, I will watch more of season 2 when I have the DVDs, it's easier for me that way, confortable in my bed, than watching via streaming on a chair in front of PC... But yes that's a plan!
Anna, you're right it's very sad to think they will probably not give new interviews for BATB anymore, but I still love to see them promoting the show and so at ease with each other. it still feels good to see them talking about the show, fun and smiling... About your d), are your videos available to anyone on YouTube? always eager to see new ones,...not sure I've missed many on Youtube as of now, but who knows...
btw why do I systematically have to correct Watch into watch each time I write it on this board?? what the h...?

Oh yeah, I forgot "Farscape" and "Chuck!" Both of these series are a "must." I love the way Aeryn changed over the course of the series because of her meeting and falling in love with John Crichton. She loses her career and people JUST because she is "exposed" to him, but she actually learns that she CAN be "so much more." The show DOES have its down moments, though, and the main characters are really made to suffer periodically. But the love always gets them through.
And what can I say about "Chuck?" KK is briefly in Season 3, so there is one thing! The Chuck/Sarah pairing was just so sweet, funny, and wonderful. Sarah, too, changes from the jaded person that she had been due to her childhood experiences BECAUSE of her introduction to Chuck.
So both of these series have that Love that will survive anything and is worth everything. Again, tv series that make the ordinary day into extraordinary!

Alwayscrazedbatbfan, it's ok, I knew you were not really complaining about the poll ;-) As for watching other shows, personally I really don't feel like it at all. I still have some previous "The good wife" to Watch, but I don't feel like it. Probably because i'm too new to BATB and like you nothing can compare...so yeah one day. Bookworm, season 3 will come soon, it's only 5 months after all ((hugs))

Not sure. I was able to get both seasons of "Dark Angel" on DVD through EBAY for a pretty good price. "Farscape" just got re re-leased again on DVD, and I got it at Best Buy store (the whole series was in one set and on sale! I already had most of it on DVD, but this was too good to pass up!). "Chuck" isn't that old yet, so it should be available through some of the streaming sites, especially since the actresses on that show have done recent things that people love. "Roswell" is still available on DVD in stores, in part due to some of the actor/actresses that went on to do other shows, at least here in the US. (However, the DVD of "Roswell" does NOT have the original music that played during the episodes when it aired on television! And that show's music is SO perfect for each and every scene, like BATB. I got the "Roswell" series with the original music through an ebay member that had taped them on VHS and was willing to share.)

Always keeping myself occupied by helping to promote the show when or wherever I can. Visiting Twitter and Facebook as well as other sites on a regular basis.
Watching other shows, including shows going back as far as the mid-late 70s.
Reading fanfiction, inspirational stories, or romance novels.

But I'm trying to ease the pain by throwing myself into work and other non-TV hobbies to keep my mind off of BATB. I'm still super happy we won the PCAs! Nothing can ever take that away. So I think about the PCA win whenever I get bummed about having to wait until summer.

I remember when KK's charector came I couldn't stand her getting between Chuck and Sarah and now I can't stand to see anyone trying to get between Cat & Vincent. I guess it was because she hadn't met her beast yet.
