Hey Suzy,
Interestingly enough, CAT TOO says that Knox grabbed her "right after you left." Makes you wonder if the writers missed something in not realizing that Cat saw JT after Vincent left before she went back to the apartment. Sounds like this might be an episode glitch!

The scene bwtween Vin and JT at Gabe appartment show them so close and how far JT is ready to go for VinCat and that Vincent begins to realice how much all they do for him

And Gabe refusing to take responsibility EVER in this episode for having started the whole Vincent manhunt. He just blames Vincent for "making it worse."
And I do like that the whole situation gives Vincent a reason to tell Cat that Gabe had warned him off from trying to get back with her several times. So Cat gets insight even more into what Gabe is like.

And this episode is the flip to Cat's plea to Vincent way back in "Man or Beast" that Vincent fight "for us." In this episode, it is Vincent that tells Cat to fight for them and not just to save one another individually. (Also harkens back to the season 1 episode that happened directly after "Heart of Darkness" where Cat and Vincent have the conversation in the tunnels about fighting TOGETHER rather than each separately trying to save the other and working at cross purposes.)

And poor JT losing perspective when he sees Tess on television and the fact that she doesn't take his calls!
Really, at this point, you weren't quite sure where Tess would go. However, Tess' loyalty to Cat has always won out in the end.
By the by, LOVE LOVE Cat's "apologizing" to Knox for hitting him in the head with a chair! And her then looking to Vincent to see if the apology was "sufficient."

They did a good job making us wondering which side Tess was until the very end of this episode. Great!

Yeah, Vincent and Tess both were at odds with one another, particularly about Cat, for so long and for so much of the season. And Tess figuring that Vincent was basically a lost cause, originally because of the reprogramming and then because of the set-up. But Tess really does care about Cat more than anything, and she knows Cat won't be happy without Vincent. I think that is what is the ultimate thing that sways Tess. In addition, she knows that JT truly loves and trusts Vincent like a brother. And that trust was earned a long time ago, and she really trusts JT as well. So in the end, Tess is swayed to risk her own career and reputation to help Vincent and Cat.
And again, this episode is like Tess' official initiation into the Beast musketeer team. She earns her place by showing her real loyalty to the group and its individual members.
And it also shows how Tess can acknowledge she is wrong. She had so pushed the Gabe/Catherine thing, but she now realizes how pathetic Gabe really is and how Gabe doesn't put Cat's HAPPINESS first.

Tess telling Gabe about exhoneration was a mistake, this gave him the chance to stop it,

You can see how obsessed Gabe is in this episode. And Gabe really looked like he wanted to find an excuse to shoot Vincent.
And I like how Tess calls JT a "liar" when he said he knew it would work and that he never doubted her! And it just doesn't bother Tess. She had to earn the trust, and she knows it.

Poor Tess. I never realized that she is the reason that Gabe found out about the exoneration in the works. No one knew just how far Gabe was willing to go, even at this point.

Watching Cat kick butt and take names is just always a real pleasure. She just never seems to have real fear for herself, just for others.

I LOVE Gabe realizing that he has been played. And Tess telling him that she picked a side, and it wasn't his! That is the very words that would upset Gabe the most. Because he keeps wanting everyone to see he is "right" and morally superior. Because in every way, all the others know he is less of a man than Vincent.

Gabe wants to see himself as the Hero, when everyone else knows he is the villain. And he can't stand to lose. So much so that it drives him insane. He was just so sure that it would be easy to catch Vincent and get Cat back.

The scene at the stairs shows an important point for VinCat relationship, this is the last time Cat considers split up, after Vincent makes very clear that he won't leave without her, they will never consider this an option and they work to be forever together
