I sort-of see Tess in this episode as being all about keeping Cat's options open. She encourages Gabe in the beginning of the episode to make sure Cat is aware that he is "there for her" and interested "in case this Vincent thing blows up." --Also foreshadowing, by the by, since everything DOES "blow up" when Reynolds attempts to have Vincent blown up next episode!

Still annoyed that V took Tori to Cedar Woods. Even when V&T are in the woods together and V first feels the "Obvious" power Tori has over him, he still just wants to help Tori, and protect her. But its still evident that he wants to be w/ Cat and wants to tame his beast. I think at this point he knows though that its gonna be work and struggle to not fall into his dark side and to get back to the man that Cat wants him to be and that I think deep down he wants to be for himself

I find it interesting how Vincent describes "beasts" to Tori in this episode. "There is no Status Quo" for beasts, per Vincent. They either get better or worse. And Vincent says that he has Cat in his life to help him make sense of everything. But then Tori cries, AND Vincent hugs her. AND that makes his eyes glow and he starts "nuzzling" Tori's hair. Yuck.

And notice how Curt Windsor is able to rationalize better and better longer he is away from Vincent. "What's the matter with you?" says Catherine to Vincent. "And so much for getting your humanity back." per Catherine. So Tori's "power" just zaps away Vincent's ability to care AND amps up the lust factor for Tori. I actually think that there was no real attraction between the two originally, BUT maybe Tori's power is to create such feelings of lust because she wants to?

Cat is trying to be a friend and confidant to Tori. Shes trying hard to relate to her because she knows what shes going through. After Tori realizes who Cat is to Vincent & that they are together and V telling Tori that Cat is what keeps him sane and from falling to his dark side I still cant believe that she goes after V. And I really feel like that V never saw Tori as anything but a little sister type thing and after Cat shot him, he felt responsibility towards her and he used her as Revenge and to try and cope w/ losing Cat even if at the time he was too stubborn to admit it

And Catherine notes AGAIN how different Vincent is acting. I guess that was the show-runner's way of telling us that Tori's power is doing this to Vincent and changing him.

I have also always wondered if by Tori causing Vincent to go darker beast/be more irrational and paranoid and clingy, then does Vincent sort of re-amp Tori at the same time? Like a vicious cycle that 2 beasts in similar situations would keep amping up one another if in their presence? IF THIS IS SO, then we may see a real PROBLEM in Season 3 with JT! If JT has beast-serum or beast-blood in his system, then he and Vincent might "activate" one another if spending time together similarly to the Tori/Vincent effect. If so, will cause temporary changes in JT.

Honestly this episode, I don't even think that V realizes how much closer he is in inching towards his beast side. I think hes still just concerned w/ ending these missions so he can be with Cat.

Catherine does ADMIT in this episode that she is "in a father/daughter reunion" type of place. Cat DOES want a connection with Reynolds, despite her anger. AND Vincent encourages this, at the beginning of the episode. Yet he is soon willing to kill the man, no matter the tenuous connection that has been established with Cat (and the fact that he almost kills Cat in the car because she is driving--sorry, later episode. Still bitter about those moments, let me tell you!).

How the HECK does Tori fall for Vincent when he KILLS her father IN THAT MANNER right in front of her? And Tori has just zapped Vincent's ability to emote and care for much of anything but the kill. I mean, his humanity is just GONE in that killing.

I do enjoy Vincent in the scene w/ Cat & Tori at JTs. His sarcasm, facial expressions are just too cute. LOL

And Reynolds pointing out that "gruesome" way to die and "what kind of animal" would do that? He knows AND is trying to plant more seeds of doubt in Catherine, especially since he is already planning on killing Vincent next.
And Cat worrying about Vincent. Asking him what made him different. And Vincent not knowing (or trying to look any deeper into what is going on). He got "sudden surge of energy, of rage." This is what Tori does to Vincent (AND MAYBE what he does back to Tori).

2 of the writers biggest mistakes were having Cat "fall in love" w/ Gabe after everything he did to her and V and Tori "falling in love" w/ V after he killed her father. That isn't normal

When exactly DOES Vincent realize that Tori is triggering him? I have always wondered about that. I guess Vincent originally liked the feel of the amping-up of his beast powers. To me, Tori's hold over Vincent does not really break until 211 when Vincent realizes he CAN trust Cat AFTER he has had the beast-power-stealing necklace on his person. Takes both to sort of "De-trigger" Vincent and for him to get his senses back. Again, another topic for the 211 re-watch.

Not that ripping Windsors heart out was the best thing/way to kill him, but he was trying to kill V. How else were they gonna "tame" the beast and get him back on the table? V had no choice but to kill him. And why do Cat, Gabe and everyone else get to judge that what V did was more inhuman than other things he did.
