First off...How many times do I have to say it?? These numbers SUCK for two brand new series ...These are shows that are freshman..These are shows that should be doing better with the numbers...Yes it's higher rated for a Monday but what shows were in its place?? Gossip Girl and 90210...Now yes BATB was lower in ratings but it's in its sophomore year. .. I highly doubt CW is going to invest on shows that aren't delivering from the get go...besides production costs factor here too. THE FAT LADY HASN'T SUNG! I SWEAR NO NEGATIVE VIBES IN HERE OR I'M GOING TO GO COLD YELLOW ON YOUR BUTTS! In case there are more doubts, do we need to say anything more? Star-Crossed Tomorrow People

Apparently there was a story on Spoiler TV saying that Netflix had picked up season 3 of BATB with a 10 episode order but it was quickly removed. Of course today is April Fool's so maybe that's what it was. I was curious about some of the tweets I saw in response to this though saying that they hoped it was a joke or it better be a joke and some even included CBS, Netflix and/or the CW in their tweets. If it happens not to be a joke, but something that was accidentally posted too soon, these people with their tweets aren't doing the show any favors by tweeting negative reactions like this. Frankly, I'm surprised fans wouldn't just be grateful the show was continuing at all. Given the choice between an end to the series or continuing on NetFlix, I'll take Netflix. Given the choice between continuing on the CW or continuing on Netflix, I still might take Netflix -- House of Cards v. Gossip Girl. Orange is the New Black v. Vampire Diaries. If BATB were to be picked up by NetFlix, then would it be possible for those of us,(such as myself), who don't have Netflix to still watch it? Would it be possible to watch it online through various sources?? Actually, does NetFlix even have original programming?? I have friends who have NetFlix, and once upon a time, I considered getting for myself, but then decided against it, but what does NetFlix really offer? It seems like they have some of the newer shows, but don't have the latest seasons, for long running shows, such as BBT for example or maybe even GoT. Netflix currently has 10 original series. Last year, its shows received 14 Emmy nominations and made history by becoming the first non-TV network to win in one of the major categories when the director for House of Cards won best director. Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright were also nominated in the acting categories for House of Cards. I'd be surprised if the CW has ever received any Emmy nominations in any of the major categories www.uproxx.com/tv/2014/02/10-original-series-coming-netflix-2014/Last year, Marvel comics agreed to develop 4 original series for Netflix www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/marvel-netflix-agree-create-original-654171Next year, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin will star in an original comedy series www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/jane-fonda-lily-tomlin-star-689554You have to be a subscriber to be able to stream the shows, but right now a streaming only plan is $7.99 per month so in theory you could binge watch a series and then unsubscribe when you are finished. I don't know if this is true with all of the Netflix original series, but for House of Cards, all 13 episodes of season 1 were released on Feb. 1, 2013 and all 13 episodes of season 2 were released on Feb.14, 2014. I don't think any of the HBO shows are on Netflix, at least not the current ones like GOT. I believe HBO wants to force people to subscribe to HBO or buy the DVDs. What Netflix has all depends on what licensing agreements they work out with the various studios or networks. Until 2011, there were no CW shows on Netflix until Pedowitz struck that billion dollar deal which allowed them to stream all of the earlier episodes of any of the scripted shows that were currently running on the network and the most recent season once that season finished airing.

VinCat❤Destined and Reyna, thanks for the scolding and the reminding! It returns some hope to my beastie heart! pippin, thanks for all the research! I read about that Netflix deal as well on twitter, and that it was prolly april fools, so I didn't think that much of it. But you are correct, better on Netflix than nowhere. I don't have netflix, but if BATB would be on there, I'll take a subscription as fast as my fingers will allow me to sign on...

William Shatner watching teenage series??? He must be going thru a MAJOR mid life crisis The man is a well-known shill for anyone contributing to his retirement fund. I wonder WHO is doing the contribution…. CW? Then we are back at the theory of Batb being the step child, aren't we

But can't blame them for Netflix coz i for one don't have netflix here

I have a couple of friends: one who currently has it and another one who used to have it. They have differing opinions on it however. I've tried out Netflix, when I was over visiting my friend who does have it. I can't say that I was too terribly impressed with it. What I found crazy about it, is that they didn't have all the previous seasons of Downton Abbey and this was before Season 4 was released.

The main disadvantage here with Netflix is (well, besides the obvious that technically Netflix is not available in our country) that we have limited download volume here. We can only use so much download volume on full internet speed in one month. When we exceed that amount, we are thrown on 'smallband' (which means basically internet so slow that you can clean your entire house when requesting to open a webpage before it is fully loaded). I have a friend who has access to Netflix and a so called 'limitless download'. But when he was very actively viewing series on Netflix he had to call each month to regain his full access on the internet, 'cause he had used up his 'limitless' supply of download volume... So yeah, that's a definite disadvantage...

So it is not NetFlix but the internet that sucks for some of you guys. Sorry to hear it. I LOVE NetFlix. If it hadn't been for NetFlix and Season One, I wouldn't be here now. I cancelled my TV service (not worth the money) and increased my NetFlix to the max - streaming and DVDs (3 at a time). Anything currently on I can watch on Hulu.
Anyway, I think CW is not promoting BATB because a) it is on hiatus, and b) they've already got us hooked. The current fanbase may be the rock solid foundation on which to launch Season Three next Fall.
