I don't have NetFlix either and not so sure I'd want to get it either. I have a couple of friends: one who currently has it and another one who used to have it. They have differing opinions on it however. I've tried out Netflix, when I was over visiting my friend who does have it. I can't say that I was too terribly impressed with it. What I found crazy about it, is that they didn't have all the previous seasons of Downton Abbey and this was before Season 4 was released. The main disadvantage here with Netflix is (well, besides the obvious that technically Netflix is not available in our country) that we have limited download volume here. We can only use so much download volume on full internet speed in one month. When we exceed that amount, we are thrown on 'smallband' (which means basically internet so slow that you can clean your entire house when requesting to open a webpage before it is fully loaded). I have a friend who has access to Netflix and a so called 'limitless download'. But when he was very actively viewing series on Netflix he had to call each month to regain his full access on the internet, 'cause he had used up his 'limitless' supply of download volume... So yeah, that's a definite disadvantage... First, we may be discussing something based on an April Fool's joke, but if Netflix were to happen, I don't think it would effect the distribution of the show in other countries. Netflix would be the distributor / "network" that carries the show for US audiences. Showcase could still carry the show in Canada and Watch in the UK if the ratings are good enough on those networks for them to buy the third season from CBS Studios.

Definitely will hear something over the next couple days, probably next week, the following week at the latest, yet below is more on regarding the Netflix article Pippin is referring too. "Netflix has picked up Beauty & the Beast for a 10 episode third season to air in Spring 2015.
Despite low ratings Beauty & the Beast has strong online viewing, international sales and is profitable for CBS studios.
The remaining of the second season will air on the CW this summer, after that it will no longer air on the CW and will be exclusively on Netflix."Could have very well been a joke, yet, may turn out to be legitimate at the same time.

Could have very well been a joke, yet, may turn out to be legitimate at the same time. If legitimate, then not a joke. This may be the source of the "joke": "TORONTO – Netflix has acquired CW's The 100 exclusively for Canada, as part of a first-run licensing deal with Warner Bros. International Television Distribution. The futuristic sci-fi drama will debut on Netflix Canada on March 20, within 24 hours of the mid-season series premiere on the CW network stateside." As you all know, I know nothing about ratings....and today I know nothing about if it's a joke or a legitimate story...but I do know that I have a very good feeling about our Season 3, after all, "I feel it in my fingers, I feel it in my toes"....and that is good enough for me at the moment! LOL....but I will rejoice with all of you once one of you posts that a Season 3 is official!!!!!!! Can't wait....and I really believe good news is coming our way.

Hollywood Reporter Meant given that SpoilerTv did post the article on April Fool’s Day, it could very well have been a joke. Yet at the same time, by SpoilerTV removing the article so quickly, that is what is arousing this suspension and why I said the Netflix deal might turn out to be potentially legitimate.
Provided Netflix and Netflix Canada are two separate entities, not quite certain “The 100 Netflix Canada” article, would be the source of the joke, as the second part of what I posted is genuine. Our spring finale would have been our series finale if we were still not bringing in revenue for the studio and network.
Quite honestly, Netflix would probably be the preferred option, given the writers would have more to work with. Meaning less editing and allotted more time. I know some Beasties have a tendency of going into panic mode, yet sometimes a number of us forget to look at the overall picture as well as weigh the pros and cons of the situation.

I do have hope for a season 3 and yes, if BatB were not making any profit then the spring finale would have been it. But will the international buyers still have access to purchase a third season if BatB was bought out by Netflix? In Canada we can find a way to view US Netflix but what about other countries? Also, beasties I know manybof you see the glass as half full but I won't be happy with only 10 episodes UNLESS, UNLESS we get a fourth season with 10 episodes too. I so do not want this show to come to a premature end.

I so do not want this show to come to a premature end. Yet, I believe that would be the key advantage of having it on NetFlix. For example, each season, House of Cards has 13 episodes, and Netflix recently renewed it for another 13 episodes. Therefore, if BATB manages to continue for another two or three seasons, it can each season with 10 episodes.
