Post by Savana_ Dying for season3! on Mar 18, 2014 13:29:06 GMT -5
I'm not worried. The teleporting thing gets boring after a few episodes and Star Crossed failed the chemisty test, IMHO. Whereas, BATB numbers will stay solid here on out and there is an absolutely demented fanbase (self included) and what other show has any chance at that? They can sell DVDs or anything else to worldwide Beasties as long as they want. Besides, Mark is going to get one hellofalot of roses this spring - and that's something. AMEN!! Demented fanbase... lol! Indeed!!!

Don't pretend to know much about ratings and honestly before i became BATB obsessed didn't care about ratings.
However, common sense would seem that both SC and TTP are both performing poorly and have far less episodes than BATB. There ratings are unlikely to improve IMHO. Neither have the rabid fanbase and worldwide audience that we do. Although there ratings are currently better than BATB, there's not much in it!!!!!!
I don't think that we will get a full third season but I am hoping and praying that we will at least get 6 or 13 or at the very least our happy ending, If I were a betting woman, I would bet on 13 episodes
All above is my opinion and hopefull speculation xx

I'm still hoping that we get a full 22 episodes of S3 instead of half season. I wasn't too happy about TTP doing better in the 9pm but after reading your post that for A 1st season TTP are not doing that well has may me a little happier & still praying that we will still get another season of BATB

Final ratings :
Star Crossed 0.3/1 1.00 million viewers
TTP 0.4/1 1.17 million
SC went down in viewership by a tad but the tomorrow people stayed at the same demo but added a few thousand viewers

The CW
Having already renewed their top performers and with the network’s drama development slate in such good shape, it’s looking like it could be a fairly fresh line up at The CW for the fall 2014-2015 season. Already renewed at the network is Arrow, Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries, The Originals and Reign; leaving only Beauty & The Beast, The Carrie Diaries, Hart Of Dixie, Star-Crossed, The Tomorrow People and the yet-to-premiere The 100 in limbo. Sources at the network are not being shy on declaring Star-Crossed, Beauty & The Beast and The Carrie Diaries dead, with all three not expected to return. Things are not looking good for Hart of Dixie, but freshman The Tomorrow People has a shot IF – and I stress if – the series sees a ratings uptick in its new Monday night time-slot. As expected, execs will wait ’till The 100 launches to make a decision, but the series does enjoy STRONG support at the youth-skewing network.

To Hell with "sources at the network". Those sources are about to be buried in roses soon anyway.
Speaking of rabid fanbases and the fact that the CW Upfronts are supposedly May 15th, I suggest we really let them have it as May approaches. Boxcars of cut roses, several daily hand-written letters or a dozen postcards per day from each of us - whatever suggests "a little bit scary" in your own mind.
We'll let them see the beast in Beasties.

Here's the CW press release for last night's numbers from The Futon Critic: The Tomorrow People" Teleports Over to Monday Nights with Viewer Gains Last night's THE TOMORROW PEOPLE's Monday night debut was The CW's most watched regularly scheduled program (1.15M) in the Monday 9 pm time period since 12/17/12 (Gossip Girl finale). THE TOMORROW PEOPLE was up 44% in total viewers versus last week's time period performance. It was also the best deliveries among M18-34 (0.4), M18-49 (0.4), and teens (0.5) in the Monday 9pm time period since 12/17/12. Versus its last original outing on Wednesday 3/5, THE TOMORROW PEOPLE was flat in adult demos (0.3/1 A18-34, 0.4/1 A18-49). STAR-CROSSED also grew 6% week to week in total viewers (1.05M), and was flat in key demos. Last night was The CW's most watched Monday night (1.1M) in more than a year (since 2/4/13). Read more at thefutoncritic.com/ratings/2014/03/18/the-tomorrow-people-teleports-over-to-monday-nights-with-viewer-gains-98002/20140318cw01/#LhTftxcfDbUK3QXK.99IMO, BATB haters helped these ratings to go up by making sure they watch these new shows on CW. There's a lot out there who wants BATB to fail and be cancelled esp. those fans of the Shows that BATB/ Beasties beat with whatever POLLS thrown with BATB/VinCat on it..for example those disgruntled mental .... I'm optimistic BATB will be renewed, the BATB fandom is enormous overseas and here in the US. I guess I'll join twitter to send MP roses everyday, every minute then

Can someone throw some optimism my way? Not sure if its optimism, but its a perspective... This is 1 article about ratings. And even if the CW sanctioned it they are trying to sell their AD space and their night, of course they are going to be positive. They're trying to attract people there by making it seem like its the place to be... Plus it was only 1 week of ratings, so I think we should sit tight for at least 2-3 weeks just to see how it all plays out. What will happen when the CW stops promoting that the show moved to Mon? I have a feeling the CW will begin to focus on their new shows coming down the pike as opposed to trying to sell TTP. Another thing is you cant compare last weeks TTP ratings to this week, last week was a rerun. So of course the ratings are going to be off. TTP is not a show you can watch a rerun of and find it enjoyable. But that will be the last I really know about TTP on air as I have taken to not watching it or following it until we get a renewal for BATB. Plus ratings arent everything... as people said we make international revenue, so that counts. Plus it all probably a complicated equation pf revenue/cost/audience/potential that networks use to determine which shows are more profitable to renew.
