I can't imagine the cast/crew that are gone are too wild about flying back.

"Horrible" is subjective, but yes, in my opinion it's HORRIBLE. I suppose if you're a local you get used to it, but I spent some time in the Buffalo NY area working (in the winter) a few years back. It was NOT comfortable. I'm not sure, but maybe they still have a week or so before resuming shooting?

I watched the Times Square NYE event with Ryan Seacrest....I'm not sure if there's a big difference in weather b/t NY and Toronto? I would assume not too much since they ain't too far from each other right?
Anyway it had the temperature on screen- it had 30 degrees (the american reading.) which I think equals about -1 degrees. BBRRRRRR! Cold. But probably it gets colder than that there!
Though I been hearing in Russia it's even colder.
Hmmm....I wonder if Jays been spending his holidays up in NZ. I wouldn't blame him since weathers isn't too bad there atm!

I was in New York from the 25th to the 29th and it was beautiful...especially compared to the deep freeze and lack of power in Toronto at the time; I wasn't too happy to come back home. 0-1 degree feels warm compared to minus 10-15 degrees and right now it is even colder. I especially feel for Jay; I came to Canada to go to university when I was 18 ( I grew up in the Caribbean, Central America and Brazil), and no matter how long I'm here, I just cannot get used to the cold. He must be dreading his return, poor guy! At least the sun is shining at the moment!

London seems a lot more inviting than Toronto at the moment. And I have no problem packing my rubber boots and umbrella.

Wow...i like London! I didn't think i would, i was expecting it to be cloudy, cold, rain, overcast weather all the time and mainly a place for museums...lol! But when i went it wasn't like that at all- 1 day slight rain but that was ok! It was mild but pleasant. I was there September! And sooo much to do! I didn't know where to start. I heard there been strong wind and rain there atm though? As for Melbourne, Australia where I'm from you never know what you gonna get! Its supposed to be summer atm but we are getting late teens, early 20s atm when usually its mid to late 30s. But 0 and below doesnt happen here, except winter nights but even then -1,-2 not lower so that's cold for us! Except for mountain areas but we don't have high mountains here in comparison to Europe or canada. I heard our weather here is apparently similar to Vancouver.

Whoooaa...so last I heard NY was -20! That's a big difference to the weather in new years eve! So apparently its the coldest in 20 years! Apparently its state of emergency as well...It starts like getting to Toronto is half the battle! Well at least with NY alot of flights were cancelled!
But when are they filming again? I guess they won't be filming outdoors at the moment!

All that Canadian Government subsidizing of TV productions is great until it comes time to shoot in Toronto in the winter time. I'll bet Vancouver is looking pretty attractive to the BATB production company right now.

For you folks in the area of North America that's going to get really cold the next few days....Stay WARM and stay SAFE! It's not going to be uncomfortably cold, it's going to be dangerously cold.
