maybe another option would be candles (in red) if you can't find roses? they could stand for this "having dinner, romance" and they're cheap. we could all buy them in our location and maybe carve in BATB or something related to the show... What a great idea! Candles are definitely something that one can get everywhere. I'll look into candle distributors though online as well, so there are options for people oversees that may not want to ship candles from their home. Still I think candles are a good idea Maybe we could make a BATB graphic to be wrapped around the candle for people who don't want to carve in BATB. I think it'd be great if we could do this campaign in February or March. March, obviously, gives more time to organize. I agree with other posters that we shouldn't wait until the last minute. We need to let CW know that we love this show and want a Season 2. What do you guys think? February or March work for you guys?

I'd say "spread the words!" Yes, I'm worried for a second season as well. Already two new shows that I liked didn't get a second half season one. Watching the low numbers worries me. I don't want it to end up like The Secret Circle and they have a lot of Facebook likes.
I'm promoting the petition on tumblr and everything else I can probably imagine to help keeping this show up.

Bridemaid Up will Air - Friday January 18 !!!! whoohoo after Nikita this is good news especially if they are trying to advertise more for BATB so spread the word... Repeats generally aren't factored in for renewal/cancellation by networks. However, I agree that everyone should tune in and here's why -- to show that BATB can do just as well on another night. For Season 2, given The Vampire Diaries ratings, BATB will go on another night. It's possible they are considering Friday, which is a good thing because shows on a Friday night are renewed with lower ratings because they are expected to pull lower ratings given it's a Friday night. This past thursday, Vampire Diaries & Beauty and the Beast tied with a 0.3 demo for their reruns. This is really, really good. We need to keep up the support for BATB during the break, telling more people about it via social media or in person. If BATB's rerun on Friday following Nikita does just as well as it did following Vampire Diaries that puts us closer to a Season 2!! My only concern for BATB is that it's going up against Grimm, which is also a supernatural police procedural... If I'm not mistaken, Grimm will be a repeat that night though. With both Grimm & BATB as repeats, here's hoping BATB can at least get the 0.3 it goes this past week -- if not better.

But Fridays are generally where networks put the dead-end shows. Most people are busy on Fridays w/friends, movies, they are out, etc. - not good.
I think for season 2, leave BATB on Thursdays w/VD. Yes, it's the toughest night of the week where all networks put their heavyweights - Big Bang, Two and Half Men, Grey's Anatomy, Person of Interest, Glee, XFactor, etc. The CW has always had problems filling this timeslot b/c of all the competition. I think considering we are against those big shows and w/the initial negative critics, and no help from The CW, BATB have done pretty good. Plus, remember last year, Secret Circle, didn't have Glee. Fox moved it to Thursdays at 9 this season so added competition w/same young female demos.
A critic posted last week, BATB renewed in part b/c of Kristin Kreuk's huge international appeal. Smallville is syndicated worldwide currently so that helps. KK has always been big in Europe, Asia, Mexico, and Central America as well.

Smallville is syndicated worldwide currently so that helps. KK has always been big in Europe, Asia, Mexico, and Central America as well. Interesting! I am not a Glee fan, so I didn't realize it wasn't in the same timeslot last year. That explains TSC numbers to me more. No offense to any TSC fans, but I tried to watch that show and hated it. I was not sad to see it go. Nor was I sad to see Ringer go. I did watch the entire season of Ringer, but I thought the S/L was awful and the actors talent wasted in that show. But I understand that TSC had a very loyal fanbase. (My mom was a TSC fan and was upset it was cancelled. She didn't blacklist the CW like some TSC fans though. My mom watches Arrow, BATB, and TVD.) Regarding Friday nights, that to an extent is true. Just like Sundays used to be a "dead night" though, networks are looking to revive Friday nights. Basically to recapture TGIF. So a lot of good shows are getting moved there and some new shows are being started there. Grimm started on Friday last season and was renewed for a second season. As a result, NBC gave Grimm major promotion during the Olympics and gave Grimm's first few episodes a timeslot on Monday nights. NBC always planned on moving Grimm back to Fridays, but they gave it the Monday timeslot so it could gain more viewers, which it did. NBC is very big on its "Thank Grimm it's Friday." Grimm continuously wins the demo rating war for its timeslot and NBC is happy. Grimm is expected to be renewed for a Season 3, which means also Season 4 for syndication numbers. That being said, Friday night shows (because people go out) are expected and allowed to get lower ratings. (Networks do look at DVR numbers for Friday night shows as well.) If BATB can't get its numbers up to a 0.8, it's best hope may be Friday or Tuesday nights -- two nights CW expects & allows lower ratings. Because Friday is on the rise for networks again. Shows that networks plan on killing or have killed are sent to (a) Saturday nights, (b) the Summer to burn-off remaining episodes, or (c) just pulled completely and fans have to fight to get to see those episodes at all. This season, we've also seen some shows like 666 Park Avenue get to stay on the same night/time to burn off the remaining episodes. Though that's unusual. My biggest concern for BATB next season on a Friday night would be that less people would watch it live. Also, in the same timeslot with Grimm, Grimm is going to win and make BATB look worse in that they are both fantasy/supernatural-esque police procedurals. Granted, Vincent is a bit more sci-fi given that he wasn't born a beast, but instead made into one. Still it has a fantasy look to it with the way that it is filmed, and Vincent definitely has supernatural abilities! Also BATB is more of a romance, while Grimm is more of a sophisticated Supernatural. I'm not saying Grimm & BATB are too similar, but I also know that all of the people I know that love BATB, also love Grimm. I love Grimm too, so I'd hate to see them on at the exact same time & night. (I'd be fine if BATB did 8pm and then Grimm came on at 9pm on Fridays though.) Given that TVD has the largest demo numbers, CW is going to want to launch a new show next year after it. (Arrow & Supernatural may also be split up next season) Even if BATB was doing a lot better, I still think they'd move from its current timeslot. CW needs to pull bigger numbers on their shows or the network is going to go under, so it's going to want to try to use its highest shows - TVD, Arrow, & SPN - to do so. It's hard to say what night BATB would go to though because we don't know what shows are coming back next season and what new shows are being introduced. All I know is that TVD, Arrow, and SPN are going to be renewed...unless something strange happens this Spring. With that being said, BATB could be combined with Supernatural next season. I don't know. Concerning potential new shows, there's a show that CW ordered a pilot script for called Wunderland. It's a police procedural about basically Alice and it takes place in LA. If CW picked up that show and kept BATB, they could put them together on a night as a "Fairy Tale" night. Again, this is all speculative, especially because if Cult or Carrie Diaries does better than BATB, BATB will probably not see a Season 2...unless both HOD and 90210 and possibly even Nikita were cancelled. > Nikita's not getting cancelled because a 4th season brings it to 88 episodes, which means it has "syndication" numbers. Nikita does well internationally, and syndication deals help networks to recoup their costs for the show's run. It will be interesting to see if the CW moves it to the Summer for its 4th season to reach syndication numbers as some have speculated. I think it will have to pull 0.2 or lower in the Spring for CW to move it to air in the Summer. > 90210 could get cancelled or have a shortened season airing in the Summer or Mid-Season of next year. If it has a shortened season that airs in the Fall, this is bad for BATB. My hope? CW learns from GG shortened season (with terrible ratings, except for the actual final show) and cancels 90210 early-next year, thus, giving them time to effectively wrap up the show by this Spring. > HOD is a toss-up...it is pulling decent numbers on Tuesday night and is cheap to produce. It will be interesting to see what happens with HOD though as a renewal for Season 3 would in essence also be a renewal for Season 4 (syndication numbers) too. My guess is that HOD will be back for a Season 3 & 4. But no way to tell until it returns from break...gotta see how the ratings go. Given that veteran shows Nikita, HOD, and 90210 could all come back, if Carrie Diaries or Cult does better than BATB demo-wise, BATB is in trouble. If BATB does about the same (or only slightly lower), but does better internationally than Cult or Carrie, it could be renewed over those. Unfortunately, I don't know where to get the international numbers for free... I have heard rumors though that BATB is (so far) doing really well outside of the US. I've also heard that BATB is not as expensive to produce as TSC was, so even though we're pulling lower numbers than TSC was last year, it probably balances out because BATB costs less to produce.

uuuuuh, I LOVE that much input. Thanks!!!! You're welcome! Thought of another idea for the fan campaign... What if we sent books? Just a book version of the fairytale -- can be any adaptation. Then CW would be getting books from fans all over the world showing how far-reaching the BATB tale is. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beauty_and_the_BeastFound some sites with bulk fake red roses, btw. Looking to see what the deal is with those, in case that's the way we want to go. BTW, there's no reason we couldn't send more than one item. We just want to make sure that the items clearly express that we want a Second Season of BATB and all go out at approx. the same time to really show how many fans want the show to stay on.

Also it'd be great to add videos on YouTube explaining why we love the show and why it should get a second season. If you don't want to get on camera, you can include clips from the show to tell your message. Here's an example video that a fan made to help save the tv show "Breaking In." Fox ultimately brought back Breaking In for a short-lived Season 2. Anyway, here's the vid: www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6TjmH6PI-M - It'd be great if we could make a BATB video where it sounded like the characters were asking/demanding a second season.

Found this on eBay: www.ebay.com/itm/460-pcs-Red-WOOD-ROSES-Wholesale-bulk-lot-Floral-Craft-FUNDRAISERS-Flowers-01-/170730926535?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27c05b31c7At $50 for 460 roses + $20 shipping, each rose costs less than 16 cents. It seems like this seller does have more, but it would be a good idea to message them beforehand to make sure. The only thing with this is that someone would have to be responsible for receiving them and then shipping them to the CW, which would obviously involve shipping costs (probably $20 total), unless the seller agrees to ship straight there. If we do have to ship them, each rose would end up being less than 20 cents. As far as the money, not sure Kickstarter would allow something like this, being it's not really a project, but we could just use a Paypal donations account. Paypal does take a percentage, but at 16-20 cents a rose (plus a few more cents to Paypal), I guess this would still be a good deal. As much as I like the idea of them receiving single roses from multiple places, sending in bulk would definitely be cheaper.

Found another option! Since someone mentioned candles, IKEA sells red tealight candles at a really good price. Check this out: www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/00180874/At $2.99 (plus tax) for 48 candles, they would end up being around 7 cents each (that's not including shipping to the CW). The good thing about these, other than the price, is that they're easily attainable for most people, considering IKEA is everywhere. Those who don't have access to an IKEA store could just use Paypal, or other candles.

Thought of another idea for the fan campaign... What if we sent books? Just a book version of the fairytale -- can be any adaptation. Then CW would be getting books from fans all over the world showing how far-reaching the BATB tale is. Personally this is my favorite idea. If we send books from all over the world in our native language that really shows how much effort we put into it. Also shows how far-reaching the BatB tale is - as you pointed out. If we put more time and effort into making a great present for them I think the more they consider our request. You can get a book written for children for like 1EUR or 1,5USD and that is not much. And of course the delivery fee. I think this is quite an original idea. Showing the love of the fans all around the world. Just imagine having the different types of books of the BatB adaptations in the writers room. I know it needs quite an organization but it's worth it... Ok, that's my opinion.
